American Institute of Kenpo

I came in to check out this Karate school and I never left!
The main thing I was after was: a martial arts school that came from a great lineage of previous martial artists who were serious about the craft to it’s present teachers, a martial arts school that would not do the same two lessons over and over but would actually progress and had a cirriculum and that the teachers were awesome. AIK has all this here!
I’m so happy to be a part of American Kenpo, here in Tuscon and I would highly recommend this martial arts school to anyone who is serious in studying Kenpo.

this place is awesome, started taking classes here with my friend to get in shape. i do still get embarrassed about doing moves in front of people because i hate looking stupid but everyone is really nice here so i feel i have let my guard down a little bit. i should be getting my yellow belt in october so it feels good to be accomplishing something.

I love this dojo, the staff here is super friendly, they really do make sure that you know your stuff, they don’t let you get stuck and regardless of the level of competency your are at they will help you. I have just recently started going here, and like most things that are new, I was a bit nervous as well as embarrassed. I just bit the bullet and got in there and did my thing. Now I am making friends and can’t wait for my lesson to start.
This dojo has a pretty large schedule so most people should be able to find something that works for them. They work with adults and most of all they work with children too. I watched a class with the kids and was pretty impressed with the way the instructor got the kids to participate and really enjoy learning karate.
