When the ignition key would not turn in my pickup I called Advanced and they gave me some info for a quick fix to temporarily solve the problem. Once I got the truck started I drove it to their shop and they removed the switch and cleaned it thoroughly… completely fixing the underlying problem. Their fee of $ 15 was very reasonable. These guys know what they are doing and are great to work with.

We’ve had many keys made by Advanced Lock and Key throughout their many years in the Tucson Area and have never had to have one re-made. As a licensed Tucson based RV dealership, we do get many sets of keys made for the vehicles we sell. The experience of this locksmith is very good and they make keys for padlocks, to high tech keys for Lexus, doors, RVs and more! They are very reasonable too! It is unfortunate that Susan C didn’t have a great experience, but it is likely they were trying to teach the dog how to cut a key for the Mazda and the dog may not have liked Mazdas.

Ever wonder whether you can get third-world prices in first-world Tucson? Go to Advanced Lock and Key and have a key made. In the name of the Father, the Son, the Holy Ghost, and the Lord of the Keyrings, we spent almost thirty minutes in this sweltering storefront that faces the angry Tucson sun, being entertained by a dog and several locksmiths. The locksmiths were trying to cut a key for a Mazda and the dog was probably their mascot. About three people tried to figure out how to duplicate the key, while another lady told us she had tried calling us back two weeks ago when we called and left a message about cutting keys but the number we gave her was WRONGWRONGWRONG… even after it was apparent to her that we were probably going to get the key cut there, anyway, so why belabor the point? After the key was cut, the several of them discussed the cost and the receptionist lady said the key probably cost X so $ 2.75 would be sufficient. 3 men + 1 dog + 30 minutes = $ 2.75.
