I must be honest and say I’ve NEVER taken a class with Chef Sharie. Not that I didn’t try!!! Why not? I was so excited about taking a class with her. My husband knew how badly I wanted to as well and he rearranged his work affairs so that I could take a class with Chef Sharie on a Saturday. He stayed home with the kids. I got up at 5:30, packed my lunch, and got on the road for 45 minutes so that I wouldn’t be late for my class. I got there early and I waited, and waited, and waited. I called and left several messages. Disappointed and confused I left. I received an I’m so sorry call around 11:30. Ok, let’s try it again next month. I signed up for another class. I get my confirmation the night before and it’s for the wrong class. I check to make sure I didn’t make a mistake and I had not. Now I start emailing and calling the school for explanation. I finally hear back via email at 2:30 am which I received at 8am when I woke up. I was not going to make another trip for the wrong class. She finally calls me and asks that I still come. I don’t want to rush at this point and she suggest that we reschedule and she’ll throw a free class in. She’s so sorry again. STRIKETWO!!! I really don’t know now when I will be able to take a class because my husband can’t keep changing his schedule for this nonsense. She pleads that I give her another chance when I ask for a refund. I really do want to take her class but a month or so passes and I just really don’t see where in the near future I would be able to take any classes with ANYONE. SOONCEAGAIN I ASKFOR A REFUND!!! She then tells me that I could only get a partial refund since I was canceling!!! AREYOUKIDDINGME!!! I call and leave messages and I email all to no avail. Then I send her a hot certified letter letting her know I have kept each and every email and record of our communication and that I was ready to take it to the next level if I didn’t get my money back. I’m sure she is a talented cake decorator but her professional skills SUCK. She even gave me a sob story as to why she needed to keep my money to pay the rent on the place. Ummmm, not my business nor my problem and I didn’t need to know ANYTHING about her personal life. Our relationship was business and business ONLY!!! Can’t refer anyone to take a class at Sweet Dreams Bakery unfortunately!!!

In early summer of this year I took Chef Sharie’s Fondant 101 class. I really loved it. I was surprised how much easier it was to handle fondant than I thought it would be. Chef was really detailed and deliberate while she was showing us how to roll out the fondant and drape it over the cake. She shared lots of tips and tricks I think you would only get in class and my cake looked fantastic! I had such a blast. And, the person I gave the cake to loved, loved, loved it. Thanks, Chef Sharie. I’ll be back for more classes.

I did not have a great experience with Chef Shari. I took the cake decorating 101 class and it was the first decorating class I had ever taken. She was very hard to work with and was very rude. She kept telling me I was doing it wrong and she would fix it but never tell me how to fix it. She definitely lowered my self esteem and I almost just got up and left. She was not very sanitary; I never saw her wash her hands and she just gave me all of the dishes to clean and did not help at all. She was a very negative and pushy person. I will not be taking another class there.

I can’t comment on the cake decorating, but I took a cookie design class. She was tired, breathing problems, ect. She has health problems. But, being clean and sanitary is NOT her thing. I don’t think I ever saw her wash her hands. She sweat so bad, wiped it off with a paper towel and would start working again. She licked the spoons, the icing bags ALLTHETIME. I brought my cookies home and threw them away — I didn’t want my family eating them after witnessing her uncleanliness. I did dishes ALLTHETIME. I was the only one in the class and I was even instructed to wash the dishes from the day before! She kept telling me I was her ‘intern’, which bothered me since I was there to learn — and paying her. I don’t mind helping clean up — but it was ridiculous. She didn’t teach me anything. Her cookies were sloppy and terrible — I knew more how to do it than she did. Her class description was the things I wanted to learn — but we never did any of it. She may be a good instructor for cakes — but nothing else. The place was dirty. I would not go back there again.

I interned for several months with Chef Sharie at her bakery and learned a great deal. Her methods are strategically defined, précised and tried and true to enhance your experience as a baker. Chef Sharie has over a decade of experience baking and decorating beautiful and great tasting cakes. If you can describe the design and type of cake you want for your special occasion, she will create it. Her specialty with custom cakes is fascinating and her creativity never ceased to amaze customer after customer when they received the cake ordered. Chef Sharie will work hard to ensure your satisfaction with exquisite design and great tasting cake.

So happy with my cake results! Called on Monday & spoke with the owner who is a really really nice lady. She took all my ideas & created a beautiful Christian Louboutin cake with a shoe! Everywhere I called was expensive! Like the cheapest was $ 250+ I paid $ 100 less for this cake & I love it! She gives you cake to try too! For the price & work done it couldn’t get any better! Will def be referring anyone I know! OMG& the cake was sooo moist & good! She put chocolate mouse in between the layers! Um um good!
