Atlanta Dermatology & Laser Surgery

Had a hydrafacial with CJ Hood — I am stunned that my 62 year old skin can look like it now does. So crisp– clean– hydrated. A first for me– but not a last. CJ is an insightful, skilled technician and above all else, extremely considerate. Entire staff is professional, knowledgeable and most accomodatiing. Cannot say enough about CJ Hood and those she has surrounded herself with at Atlanta Dermatology & Laser.

Fantastic office and a wonderful staff!

I will never step foot back into this doctor’s office ever again. I was really excited to go to the office since it was an African American doctor and a female too. I went due to skin conditions such as acne, eczema, and a bad skin reaction to some products. On my first visit the wait wasn’t too bad nor was the staff. The nurse checked me in and once i was seated asked me what problems I was having, I gave her the rundown of the issues I was having and she told me I can only talk to the doctor about two of my issues. Didn’t really understand it but ok. Once I was able to see Dr. Cornelius she did point out that I did have dry skin and that I needed to keep my skin moisturized at all time day and night, she gave me some cream to control my skin reaction and told me the best way to control eczema was to keep it moisturized and the itching would stop. She also gave me some pills for the itching of my skin. I went home and did what the doctor was telling me to do but none of it worked. The pills were supposed to be non-​drowsy but they still gave me the same effect as if it was drowsy so I wasn’t able to take them nor did they help. The moisturizing made my skin soft but didn’t stop the itching and the creams for the skin irritation didn’t go away. So my next visit I wanted to see if she would try a different approach for me and try to get down to the root of my problems when it came to my skin. I was HIGHLY disappointed in her when she told me all I was doing was looking for a quick fix to resolve my problems that I have been having for a very long time. She recommended looking into a procedure that would affect my immune system. What kind of doctor would recommend something that would make me sicker? I have real bad problems with my skin and she DID NOT HELP ME AT ALL. I personally wouldn’t recommend her at all.

This office is extremely pretty one the inside. The art on the walls made me want to get some new paintings for my home, as well. (lol) Not kidding.
Everyone I met was über friendly and were nice about taking me with such short notice. Having my 2 month old son plus his large stroller in the office was also quite a breeze. There’s plenty of space to maneuver around without bumping into the furniture.
I arrived 30min before my scheduled appointment to fill out the new patient paperwork. Five simple pages of medical dermatology paperwork.
My appointment was at 3. I was seen at 258p and in my car with the baby strapped in by 328p. It would’ve been even less time if I hadn’t remembered questions every time Doctor Laura left. Lol but hey. That’s what I have insurance for. to have all of my medical questions answered at will. I like this practice, I’ll definitely be back if need be.
There’s nothing like an efficient doctor’s office.

Update from my previous review. Dr Cornelius fixed my eyebrows to match. I also had three restalyne injections in my cheeks and winkles at the bottom folds of my mouth. I followed her advice on what to have done. I was skeptical and scared but now I am very satisfied
