Paws and Play Pet Resort & Training Center

My pup loves to visit paws and play! He pulls me through the door in the morning and comes home so tired from his day of play. The staff is great and it is obvious they love all of the pups. I am so thankful for paws and play… and so is my pup!

I’m a big fan of Paws and Play. I’ve boarded my dog here countless times, and taken training classes with her in a group setting. The staff is super accommodating and thorough, and I always feel confident leaving my dog with them. You can really tell all of the staff are dog people — they are so gentle and friendly with the dogs! They take great care, and are always happy to give me updates when I call to check on her. They are great at putting you on the wait list if they’re full, and work hard to make room for you. It’s clean and friendly, and the training classes I took there have been invaluable for me and my dog. I learned crucial skills on how to properly train and care for my dog. Love this place!

I just had an unpleasant experience at Paws and Play. I took a «tour» last weekend and signed up for «daycare» for this weekend with the intention of boarding next weekend. Note the 2 week period between my first visit and my intended boarding visit. When I arrived to drop off my dog this morning, the excitable woman at the front desk told me that I couldn’t leave my dog because he didn’t have a Bordetella shot. And I couldn’t do the boarding visit, either, because the facility requires a 2 week period between time of shot and time of visit. Fair enough. What was not fair, however, was that I was not adequately notified of this during my first visit last week. Obviously, if I had understood these requirements, I wouldn’t have made either appointment or driven all the way over there this morning. I did not know that Bordetella was not a standard part of a dog’s annual vaccinations. But the staff at Paws at Play did, and they should have made certain that I was aware of this and that my dog had the appropriate shot schedule *before* all of these appointments were made. They seemed eager to take my credit card number for a deposit, but perhaps more time should have been spent ensuring my comprehension of the facility requirements. I am new to the «pet resort» experience and I simply did not know. Most unpleasant, however, was the excitable woman who kept yelling «he doesn’t have Bordetella!» in front of all the other dog owners — I felt like I had done something wrong and it was extremely embarrassing. Paws and Play needs to invest a little more time in their staff training and customer service skills.

Our dog really liked Paws & Play. The staff is always kind and helpful, I think they really enjoy their jobs. The space is clean and smells it.
If you do the full day of day-​care the dogs only play about 50% or less of the time, they spend a good amount of time in crates, other day cares we have used they play all the they want and get crated if the dog needs time out or wants a rest. If you have a high energy dog, it might not get all the action it needs.
Advice to the owner: have longer hours. Lower Westchester is changing. People work longer hours. If you could be open to 8pm it might help.

We took our 12 year old pit bull mix in this past Saturday. The place is immaculate and smells so clean. They definitely maintain their facilities. Everyone was so nice and welcomed our girl with open arms. They gave us a tour and we were totally impressed. They have deluxe suites with televisions for each guest. I thought it was a bit depressing because the dogs couldn’t see each other. Even a clear plexiglass panel in between each suite would be nice. Our dog would definitely want to see her neighbors. We definitely preferred the regular accommodations where we had our dog. She was able to see and smell all her neighbors. We upgraded to the «Silver» package for an additional $ 19.99 which included a scheduled playtime with the other dogs and a treat. Is that worth $ 19.99??? I haven’t decided yet. The pics they posted online of the play time were adorable. I just think that a play time should be included rather than an additional cost. The real test was when we picked her up the following day… she had no interest in us, she was looking to go back into the play area. She was as happy as a clam! We have made reservations for her to go one day per week from now on. Hopefully they will give us some sort of discount because while the price is acceptable, the add on’s are very pricey. I still love this place though.

Wonderful resort! Clean, friendly, and great for dogs! Staff is great! Great activities and care. Leaving your pet is never easy, but leaving them at Paws N Play is easy on your mind because it’s a great facility. Dogs get all the care and attention they need in a safe environment.

I started bringing my dog here 2 months ago for doggy daycare… And so far my dog loves this place and I am at ease when I’m at school the staff is friendly and professional. Since my dog has been going to at group 2x a week she is a different dog and very friendly compared to how reserved she used to be and to dogs she didn’t know. They upload pictures on Facebook daily which I can see while I’m in class and have informed me on one occasion she seemed a little out of sorts. I would recommend this place to anyone!
