The food and service at La Sen in terrific. I have been here multiple times, enjoying the tofu and shrimp salad rolls with peanut dipping sauce which was fresh and tasty; the won ton soup with a fragrant and delicious broth and assorted veggies; the chicken sandwich with pickled veggies on a crusty and fresh baguette; the crispy(and NOT greasy) spring rolls and the asparagus beef with jasmine rice in an amazing sauce. The prices are very reasonable, the location and parking is very convenient(right off Hwy. 205), the staff are attentive and very friendly and the food… well we already talked about that, didn’t we? Good place for a date, lunch or dinner with a client, or a meal with the family(bring the kids)! I can’t say that about most restaurants!

Slowest to go ever. Ordered and paid at 12:22 It’s now 12:40. Do not offer to go if you can’t get people out the door quickly. However, the phở is really good. So if you don’t mind the wait check it out!

The phở here, by far, is very good. The broth is flavorful and the meat is fresh. When I visit any Phở restaurant for the first time I order the Beef Phở and crunchy spring rolls. To me that’s basic and if the restaurant is decent they should get those two things right. Food arrived and we couldn’t have been happier! So tasty and fresh! I always get my lean beef on the side and not in my soup. That way the meat is not extremely tough from sitting in the hot broth for a long time. Makes a big difference. As far as service goes, our waiter was very friendly. The food was priced right too. The one thing I would like to see as an option is the bowl size. You can only order a large bowl of phở. If that’s the only thing that you plan to order then that’s a decent amount of food. However, if you want to order sides as well you might feel a bit stuffed. Phở is not something I want to take home in a «doggie bag». That’s just me though. :) It’s not a deal breaker and I will be back!

I love this place! They always have great service and great food! Everything I have eaten here is amazing but I love the phở when I feel like I’m starting to get sick.

Beef and lemongrass sandwich pathetic. 1 stem of cilantro(I say that because it was literally a stem). A few carrots and daikon radish, and 2 cucumber slices on a dry baguette that had a quarter of the bun with nothing on it. I have had sandwiches like this at other Vietnamese restaurants and this one is the worst I’ve ever seen. The only reason this is getting a one star is because the flavor of the meat was good If I could give it a less than one I would.

Had a fantastic experience here yesterday. Ok so I’m on a phở tactic adventure looking for the best(in my opinion) phở I can find. I love phở and love phở tai the best of them all. Ok so I come in here with a real good friend that has never had the phở experience. This is a small little place and was once a bambooza location. I am used to table service but this was an order and go sit they then bring it out. Only problem is you have to flag someone down for a refill on water and or to go containers otherwise good service. Food was fantastic not the best broth but solid and flavorful, a bit week on the beefy broth flavor but very very good. If your in the mood for fast food type phở this is the place. Was real busy at the lunch hour and I can now see why.

So good! The wonton noodle soup is great. Big chunky vegi’s and delicious broth. The wontons have shrimp and sausage.

This place was fine. I mean, for Tualatin it’s 5 stars because hooray for diverse food options that aren’t Mexican and Thai! But if we are to really compare to places just 15 min away in Beaverton it’s just not up to snuff. I ordered a standard noodle bowl with meat combo and A) the meat was way too salty and charred, B) the one lone shrimp was overcooked(so stingy on the shrimp!) C) the spring roll was soft and bland and D) the fish sauce tasted watered down. Presentation was great and the staff were friendly. Clean place too but I guess I was expecting better. I’d give it another shot though.

Gets really crowded during lunch which makes it hard for families with young children when there is no seating. However the sandwiches here don’t catch the eye of many people but they are Delicious! Chicken is hands down my favorite! Food has always been great and the staff is nice, just wish the place was bigger.

Good food. I like the Drunken Crispy Chicken. This is the dish I regularly order, but they also have good phở here. The broth is tasty.

Very crowded and popular. Nice friendly cashier. Seriously the best Phở i have ever had i could taste how fresh the herbs are. I had never had mint leaves in my Phở before… absolutely amazing. ALL the ingredients tasted so fresh and the qaulity was so good. I only wish that it had a server element instead of a walk up and order element. I always feel wierd staring up at a board when i am at a new place.

I requested one extra peanut sauce and one extra vegetarian«fish» sauce for a to-go order. I was charged 50 cents for the extra sauces. When it came time to eat, I discovered they did not give me an extra peanut sauce and the extra fish sauce was real fish sauce and not the vegetarian version. I must add that I am Vietnamese and thus provided my request in the employees’ native language. There couldn’t have been any misunderstanding. My advice is to always check your takeout before you leave. Service is slightly slower than a typical Vietnamese restaurant. This is true at the Bambuza location in Hillsboro also, especially during lunch hours. The vegetarian crispy rolls(bun cha gio chay) dish is just okay. For some reason, this dish is tastier at the Hillsboro Bambuza. I gave this place three stars because the workers are friendly with good intentions, and because they still have the best spring rolls out of all the Vietnamese restaurants I’ve been to in Portland and surrounding areas. They have a really good vegetarian selection and clearly identify gluten-free items on the menu.

Clean, aesthetically pleasing, friendly, and good food. I give them 3 stars because their phở did not have much of a variety. Server told me they only had 3 types of meat: meatballs, brisket, and lean steak. The phở was good, nice broth, but the meat stuck together like gum. Was pretty pricey. $ 8.50 for just lean steak phở. Wouldn’t go there again, but if I had no other option I wouldn’t be upset.

If I could go here everyday I probably would. Only because I’m in love with their seafood soup. It’s to die for. Everything is always fresh. They don’t take too long to make your order but there’s a shorter girl working there(I’ve only seen two girls who work there) and she’s kinda not very nice. She seems a little irritated that she’s working whenever I go in. The taller one is super nice and so are the gentleman in the back. It’s very clean but a little cold inside so wear a jacket! That is all.

Maybe it was a bad night. I ordered the Sai Gon Combination«with assortment of grilled chicken, pork, beef and shrimp.» It comes with«your choice of vermicelli noodles or jasmine rice». 1. I ordered it with rice but I got noodles. 50⁄50 chance. By weight, this dish was 80% noodles. 2. If there was pork in it(doubtful), it was indistinguishable from the jerky-like beef chews. 3. None of the meat was sliced completely. I don’t care how good you are with chopsticks, that’s a challenge. 4. There was exactly one shrimp. ONE! Seriously?

I really wanted to like this place, I did. If anything, I would probably give it 1 star but the phở was good. First off, I’m new to Oregon and I have been searching for a really good phở place. Second, the lady was kind of cold and not welcoming, I did not know I was supposed to be ordering at the front first… She just kind of stood behind the counter and waited. I went to the front, ordered my phở, and I sat down. I totally forgot there was my ‘free thai tea’ check in offer on Unilocal so I got up and showed her. She came over to drop off the thai tea as well as my ticket thing. My phở arrives in a huge bowl, a plastic baggie of beansprout, lime, jalapeño and basil. A plastic baggie that is usually for togo orders? As well as the condiments were on the side and I was lucky enough to sit next to them or else I would have to get up, walk over, and get my own. Third, as I was eating my phở thinking it was quite tasty, until another lady breaks a large glass vase used for tips and the shards shatter all over my feet and floor near where I was sitting alone. It takes the lady a few seconds before asking if I am okay… I felt a shard or two but nothing cut me. She asks me to move and I move across the whole restaurant right next to another being occupied when there were no other customers on the empty side… I like my personal space. Lastly, as I enjoyed the last bite despite all the negativity… I found a small fly in my bowl that surfaced as my soup disappeared… Uh really?! I don’t know if I want to be coming back any time soon.

Stopped in for some takeout chicken salad rolls and chicken sate. Four good sized rolls with peanut sauce super yummy and fresh with crispy fried onions inside a new twist. Chicken sate very good but not white meat, dark thigh meat and comes with a watered down fish sauce I think? That is good. Service was super friendly and fast. Restaurant and restrooms are very clean and nicely decorated. Food is artfully presented with lots of yummy garnishes. Another visit here I ordered the stir fry in a nest of crisp noodles, very good as well. Both dishes together cost $ 12 and was more than a meal. Thumbs up!

The food is so delicious, and So fresh. I love there Cognac Luc Lac Beef the most. It’s cube shape filet mignon beef, very soft, and melt in your mouth when you eat it. The flavoring is little bit salty, little sweet. Serve with Mix green, baby tomato, and side of white rice. Definitely a MUST have when coming here. Healthy and flavorful, what else can you ask for :) The service was very good, and friendly. They check up on me every 10 – 15 minutes to fill my water, and everything is doing ok for me. Willing to take time and explain to me about the food, or get me anything I need. OVERAL very good experience, couldn’t ask for better. This will be my new go to Vietnamese restaurant ^.^

This place used to be Bambuza. Same menu, just different name. I always ordered the wokked green beans tofu because I love the salty black beans that they use with the sauce. I specifically asked the waitress to add extra black bean sauce. I was envisioning the previous wokked green beans in the past — tofu soaked in the black bean sauce and the green beans just slightly overcooked. As I waiting patiently with excitement, the waiter finally came out from the kitchen holding a plate and walked towards me. I got more excited. Finally! My dinner! When he placed the plate on my plate, my excitement turned into disappointment. My green beans were half-cooked(yeah, I know that it’s heather that way but I wasn’t my green beans slightly overcooked!), the tofu looked like they j just came out from the deep fryer(yeah, I want my tofu soaked with the black bean sauce!) and ***drums roll*** the black bean sauce was barely enough to get the food tasty(remember, I asked for extra black bean sauce?). Even though my dinner was a disappointment, I still had to finish it because well, it was healthy. I gave them 3 stars because I got a free Thai iced tea because I checked in to this place. The Thai iced tea was really good by the way. The bottom line is I will probably come back here but not order the wokked green beans. I noticed that their salad rolls looked like Bambuza’s and so as their vermacelli noodles.

Food is fine. Service sucks, like a few others have expressed. Guy takes orders at front counter, you pay, get a table. Girl drops off food and immediately takes off, don’t bother to ask if there is anything else you need or missing. Yes, we’re missing our bubble drink we paid for and mentioned three times to the guy.(speaking of bubble drinks, even on their menu it says tapioca pearls. They were not. It is actually multi color jelly.) my daughter finally got it after asking for multiple times. Drinks, as I’ve noticed, usually comes out as soon as you pay at the counter. We’ve sat at our table for a good 10 mins already. Also, I asked for sprouts and lime that comes with my noodle soups, since the girl took off, I had to ask the guy at the counter. He said sorry, we’re out, won’t have any til later tonight. Okay… So it was not only 2 – 5 mins later that I saw orders after orders come out with the lime and sprouts accompany the soups. Mind you, I’ve already half eaten the soup by now. I was disappointed, so I wanted to speak with the guy, tried to call to his attention a few times even when he had no one at the moment to take an order. Guess what? No surprise, that he pretends not to see me. I finally got the girl’s attention to ask. She said we do have them, would you like some? I said no, I am almost done now. I mentioned why the guy said they had none w/o even checking, and she giggles and shrugs her shoulder. In the meantime, the guy was 5 feet away, aware what I was saying to the girl and was pretending like he did not see me expressing my disappointment. Dude, if you had a name tag on, it would be printed in this review. Prob you are smart not to wear a name tag. Basically, he is the short, stubby, dark black hair guy running the front counter.
