Ten Asian Bistro

I’m a regular here but decided that I should update my review ! They deserve it. I went this afternoon (wed 5/​25/​16.)
I ordered the pork gyoza again, along with a nice variety of sashimi.
Everything was excellent ! Gyoza was perfect and
The sashimi was phenomenal!
People might be wary of a sushi restaurant in the mall, but don’t let that fool you– it’s really a must go to place! The quality has always been good and it just keeps getting better. Love it!

Dinner last Friday night…
Sushi was quite good: fresh, generous, and very well prepared. Excellent value.
Soup [ wonton] was just fair.
Service was abrupt and inattentive, unfortunately… No drink refills offered, no table visit once served to ask how the meal was, and had to ask for the check twice.
Considering a return visit one more time — all based on the wonderful sushi — with a hope for a better experience…

Excellent menu, there is so much to choose from. Food is great, service is pretty great too.

I stopped by here with my girlfriend for a quick dinner but we were stunned by the décor of the restaurant given that it was in a shopping mall. We ordered the sushi pizza and the peking duck over pineapple fried rice which were both phenomenal. The service was very attentive. If I ever go to CT, i’m coming here again. Otherwise, I’m sure it’s a great place for the neighborhood.

The sushi is excellent and the ambiance is comfortable. Every time I have been there I’ve been seated right away because it hasn’t been busy, even during peak dinner hours.

We went for a Friday lunch with 4 kids and 2 adults and it was such a great experience. They have an extensive menu, both sushi and Chinese, and a very nice wine list (don’t judge, we had 4 kids!). I sort of wished they had brought some nibbles for kiddos as they are always hungry and devoured their chocolate milks quick. Dumplings were great, thin wraps which I liked, dim sum was ok, salads/​soups ok, huge portion of edamame, sesame chicken had a very nice flavor, came with nicely prepared green beans; loved our sushi — fish was nice and fresh. Would definitely go back.

I usually order delivery from Ten and dine-​in every so often. My experiences here are usually good and the food is always good. But my ordeal this week was a little ridiculous.
I had gone on Thursday with a friend for happy hour and we sat ourselves at the bar. It was empty and there was no bartender, so a waitress had to help out. She clearly wasn’t the bartender since she would always leave to tend to other guests in the dining area, leaving the bar area alone. Throughout our meal there were periods where we needed assistance but she would be MIA. I had the Beef Lo Mein and my friend had the Chicken Pad Thai, both of which were really good and recommend.
My current experience, not too long ago, was odd and I feel a little cheated. I had ordered delivery online and wrote in the comments that I would need change for a 50 dollar bill. The driver arrives and he tells me that he only has $ 14. Seriously? My food was only $ 30 and he basically forced me to give him a $ 6 tip. I simply gave him the 50. Hungry and annoyed with no solution in sight. Only ordering with card from now on.
Buyer beware.

First time coming here service fast and friendly … General Tso chicken really good and the drinks are amazing, definitely coming back !

My Mom and I really like this place, we come here pretty regularly. Unfortunately they don’t offer all you can eat sushi, but as far as non AYCE sushi places, this is our go-​to restaurant in the area. My favorite roll is the Snow White Roll, because it has my favorite (white tuna) on top, and the Tuna Shumai appetizer is also delicious. My Mom loves the Ten Special Roll, and we both really like their lo-​mein. Sushi Pizza appetizer is pretty good too, and my boyfriend and I are big fans of the Scorpion Bowl. I definitely think it would be nice if they would offer their happy hour in the whole restaurant though and not just the bar area. Service has been pretty consistent. If you haven’t tried Ten yet, then definitely check it out!

Moving to Trumbull from Hoboken NJ was a culture shock — especially when it comes to quality sushi places. When we heard from friends about Ten we were hesitant at first — but only because it was a «mall restaurant». I am so happy that we caved and gave Ten a shot (which was only because they deliver!) because outside of Fin in Fairfield it is he best sushi we’ve had up here.
The delivery was fast — driver was friendly — the food was fresh and delicious! When we went to eat at the restaurant the next week we were even more impressed. Great presentation of the dishes and delicious sushi.
Highly recommend going at lunchtime if you can — the sushi lunch specials are a great deal.

The crispy red snapper is my favorite!

Food was excellent went with a friend for lunch. I ordered the general tsos luch special and i was great the chicken came out hot and the soup was nicely seasoned i havr made this my go to spot for asian food. The servers were also very quick and attentive highly reccomend

I really enjoy this place. I’ve had the pleasure of dining in and ordering for delivery, and I’ve never been disappointed.
Dining in– The ambiance is very modern but quaint. The noise level is moderate which allows you to enjoy your meal while enjoying the liveliness of the restaurant. The staff is very pleasant.
Delivery– Takes about 45 minutes to an hour (about a 2 – 3 mile distance). The food is still hot and delicious when it arrives.
Food– Great quality! The menu is pretty diverse but you really can’t go wrong. The sushi is great (everything from the shrimp tempura to the eel rolls to the specialty rolls). The fried rice is also yummy! I noticed that they have Chilean sea bass on the menu. I haven’t had a chance to try it yet but I plan on doing so in the near future.

In this immediate area, it’s excellent. Only downside in my opinion is that it’s at a mall. It therefore gets a different clientele than most comparable restaurants. That said, the food is outstanding. I have not had bad sushi — from their basic rolls to their specials, they are well made and allow you to taste each element. Their dishes from the kitchen don’t disappoint — try the Fire Wok!

Absolutely love this place!!! All of the food is amazing, especially the sushi! Always get a shrimp tempura roll and fried rice, both great every time. Great place, always a great place for a date. Cool atmosphere and delicious food.

Since I work around here I stop in for lunch or dinner often. When I call my lunch order in the woman that answers know who I am and that’s very welcoming! This is probably my favorite place to be in a mall full of food. And I can always count on my food being delicious. My waitress was great not coming around too often and letting me stay in my date.

Sushi is fresh and yummy (I tried the Twister Roll and Spicygirl Roll and I strongly recommend them)! Tom Yong noodle soup is quite tasty too. I would give a five star if only they have more choices of noodle!

This place has become a great go-​to spot for sushi because it’s so close to us and the food is delicious. It’s my favorite middle-​of-​the-​road sushi place, Sakura’s in Westport and the place at Foxwoods are my favorite. Ten Asian doesn’t quite reach their caliber, but it does the job for the price and location. Unfortunately the service isn’t stellar, that brings the rating to 3 stars. That stop us from going though. If you’re counting on the bar area though don’t be surprised if it’s packed when you get there, the bartender has quite a following. You can also enjoy tasty Chinese and Japanese dishes.

Bought the Unilocal deal while in Conn. and was not disappointed!
Place had great atmosphere and the food was off the hook! heh heh, fish humor.
The waitress was very charming and when finding out we were from NY, had loads of questions about the city, which we answered gladly.
I will definitely be back when visiting Connecticut.

A real nice sushi place, especially with a Unilocal Deal in my arsenal. Yeah, it’s at the mall, a little kitschy no doubt. But they nevertheless provide cozy dining, and a convenient way for a man to take out his dear sweet mother to dinner for her [redacted]th birthday.
The sushi for two was the perfect amount of food for us. Soup or salad to start — I went for wonton, she went for hot & sour. Then comes a giant platter, complete with 18 pieces of assorted sushi, a California roll, and a specialty roll called the «Dragon Fire Roll.» The menu price of $ 40 is a very fair value, made even better when you only pay $ 20. *wink wink*
Slight complaint — While the 18 piece assortment of sushi was nice overall, two of them were wasted on that fake crab crap. Come on, that’s not real sushi, that’s filler for California rolls. All the other sushi pieces were excellent though, including red tuna, yellowfin, white tuna, red snapper, shrimp, and salmon.
We sat at a table next to the sushi bar, so we could see the magic happen for ourselves.
