Sandwich was good. The service was absolutely terrible. Line was 5 deep, one of the two employees left from behind counter to eat his lunch while others waiting in line. Were«all out» of turkey, roast beef, and 3 other meats. We asked«when will they be available?» The answer we got, «not sure» as the sandwich«artist» literally threw my sandwich down on the counter. Whoever owns this place needs to clean hire someone who knows a thing or two about customer service.

On our way out of Tahoe last week we stopped to fill up for some gas and decided to grab a Togo’s for the ride home. It was a mistake. It’s been a while since I’ve eaten at a chain sandwich franchise and guess what? I was still disappointed. I ordered the turkey and avocado and was immediately grossed out by the processed meat that was being placed on my sandwich. Look, I know better than to stop at these kinds of places and not sure why I broke down and went here, but that kind of product makes me sick. Moral of the story. If you’re really hungry and can’t wait until you reach Truckee, just keep driving to Truckee. Gave them 2 stars because the service was great and the guys behind the counter were nice dudes.

Fast and friendly service! Great tasting sandwiches! Roast beef cold is so tasty, half the time they give you a free drink or double meat without being charged! Great place to go after skiing Northstar all day!

Every time we go, they are out of quite a few products, the staff is not professional,. It seems like the staff is bothered by your order. So disappointing. I will not be going to this location again. I can understand an occasional outage, but to have the same sad state of affairs over and over indicates a more fundamental problem. We ordered the Pastrami sandwich and the Black Forest Ham and Cheese and as always a bowl of Broccoli Cheddar Cheese Soup. Wasn’t a surprise that they had no soup. They never seem to have this soup for as many times that we have gone there. As for the Pastrami Sandwich, as usual a great big disappointment. The meat was cool to touch, ordered it with mustard, lettuce, tomato onion and a white roll. Well there was a few pieces of shredded lettuce, no onion, they were out of tomato and no mustard what so ever. Last time they were out of tomatoes too! Hmmm! Why is it so hard to have fresh tomatoes at 4pm on a Thursday afternoon. Same with the soup they are always out of it. It always looks like they are trying to close so they are bothered by the fact that customers walk in and want to order. We have been to other Togo’s and other areas and they are always very good and never seem to run out of anything. Maybe it is due to better management then the one here in Truckee!!! To bad we will not be returning to this location. There are better sandwich places to go to here in Truckee and it is unfortunate, but we will not be recommending this place to any one either. I think that we have given this place enough tries to know that this is just the way it is and for that I am sorry.

My hubby and I LOVE Togos, we search for one everywhere we go! So I want to love this place! But I just can’t. Everytime I go in, they are out of quite a few products, the staff is not professional, and the kicker… I usually get sick after I go here. The meat does not taste fresh, Meat should never have a rainbow sheen to it! The quality is not up to other Togos restaurants. I’m honestly shocked the health department has not been in here. When they first opened, even tho we live in Reno, my hubby or I were here every other week.(He works in Tahoe city, our best friends live in Glenshire, so we swung by often.). The staff, even tho they were high school boys, they were polite and professional. The meat always tasted fresh. We were so excited for a Togos! But the quality has steadily declined. It seems like the staff is bothered by your order. :(we would rather drive to the Togos in Auburn then risk food poisoning at this Togos. My heart is broken. The building is beautiful, the location seems ideal, the place used to be always busy. It has such promise…

Tried to get a French dip, walked out with a cold sandwich, and no dip. $ 11.00 and some change is what I was charged to have my Friday lunch experience ruined. Place is a joke. The employees don’t get along, flies were all over where they are making the food. It was a much better place to get sandwiches when it wasn’t a Togo’s. It should be shut down. I give it a star because the kid cared who was serving me. He should quit and find a better place to work. Never going back.

Drove from Reno to get some #9s to go and I was really excited to have an Asian chicken salad. What I walked away with was not an Asian chicken salad. My salad had iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, chicken and feta cheese. No cabbage. No carrots. So disappointing. I would not go to this location again. I’ll wait until the next time I’m in Auburn to kill my Togos craving.

Great food and service. The manager Katie was super helpful as well, I personally like the meatball sub the bread is always fresh and delicious. The staff were all very friendly. A great place to go for a quick lunch, I never have to wait more than a min to be helped. Great price as well and 10 times better quality than subway. I will definitely be returning and I highly recommend this location.

The quality of the sandwiches is fine, the real problem at this location is the slowness of the service and the lack of attention to the drinks. I’ve been in three times now over the past two weeks, and each time there has been one person making sandwiches and two other kibitzing. An example of slowness is one of my orders was for two hot roast beef sandwiches — I stated this up front, but they made the sandwiches in series instead of prepping both and then going to the hot roast beef pot once. Other times the service has just been very slow — with no sense of urgency. As for drinks, the iced tea and coffee machines have been out of order, and the soda fountain has had one of the drink choices unavailable with a handwritten sign. I can understand an occasional outage, but to have the same sad state of affairs over two weeks indicates a more fundamental problem. I’d really like to see this location improve — it’s nice to have a sandwich place on this side of town. I find myself cringing a little each time I go in, wondering just how long it will take and what they will be out of.

Worst sandwich I’ve ever had! Stale bread, barely any turkey, and $ 7.25 for a 6 inch! Never again!!! And made by teenagers who were too busy listening to Snoop Dog rap and talking to make my sandwich in a timely manner! So disappointed.

Went to the sandwich shop to get some grub before the 49er game. We ordered 6″ pastrami and a 6″ BBQ beef sandwich. While the makers were slow(as others have mentioned), I knew we were in trouble when the girl had to work at sawing the roll open to make the sandwich. The bread was stale and not what I expected from Togo’s. The meat was fine but a sandwich can easily be ruined by awful bread and that is exactly what happened. I ended up throwing away all the bread and ate low carb! There are better places in Truckee for sandwiches and I’ll never go back to this Togo’s. Full Belly Deli remains my fav for this town.

Ordered some sandwiches here before a concert at North Tahoe Regional Park. The service in this location was fantastic. Maybe not the fastest, but the staff was very willing to chat with us and it was an all around good experience. The sandwiches were very tasty and were a great way to keep from shelling out tons of money at the actual event. Keep up the good work!

This place is the best. I work for Directv and am in Truckee every Friday I stop by here to get my large #9. The food is great and the service matches that! Make sure you guys stop by and enjoy the food so you can experience what I’m typing.

SLOWEST sandwich shop ever. Waited in line for 10 mins and it didn’t move forward one customer, 2 – 3 other people behind me left. Went and bought a granola bar from the gas station and was on my way… Don’t waste your time unless you want to wait a long time for a mediocre sandwich.

Good fast sandwich to grab and go. Meat is sliced fresh on premises and produce is better quality than subway. Definitely recommend this place over any other chain deli in the area. The service has improved lately too.

I had Togos a few years ago at the same location and it’s just NOT the same. The service was slow. It was more like a avocado sandwich with a little bit of turkey. The only time I recommend eating here is, when you don’t have any time for anything else.

Bright new store colocated in a gas station convenience store. Very spacious and clean. It is out in the parking lot of the Hampton Inn. Service had a very small town feel, but not in a good way. The three young guys working there were more interested in chatting up the girl in front of me than making sandwiches. It took 20 minutes for them to get through the line of 3 people. Food wise, it is pretty standard Togos. The bread seemed a little less than fresh. Not sure where they truck it in from, but perhaps the cold does something to it. The hot pastrami #9 tasted a little off. The other sandwich(i forgot which) was fine, or at least not memorable in a bad way. The clam chowder was nice and hot. The chili, however, was not available. It was, but the guy said it was a frozen five gallon block of goo. Oh well.
