State of California Food & Agriculture Dept: Inspection Station

Wow, I never thought I’d see myself rating an agriculture checkpoint, but I guess that’s what Unilocal’s for. Even better noticing a few of my Unilocal friends have rated it too! haha
Not really too much to say. They usually just ask you where you’re coming from and wave you through. I must admit I have seen a few drivers ahead of me on various trips start scrambling around in their seats once they realize they’re approaching a checkpoint, with their brake lights going tippitty-​tap, as if they might be in a panic, or maybe trying to hide something, but all in all, no issues.
I found Jeremy’s observation of the sketchies on the Greyhound in a panic to be hilarious!
It’s an agriculture checkpoint. I think the one on the 395 has better views with the lake being there and all, but it is what it is.

I don’t think we’ve ever been stopped when returning from reno in the big party bus. Also, coming home from burningman in dusty vehicles and trailers and RVs, we’re usually just waved through too.
They like to keep traffic moving, and California plates help. It makes going to & from reno that much nicer and convenient.
