Southwest Gas Corporation

We have been having ongoing problems with the operation of our gas appliances. Today my husband called Southwest Gas to see if they could check and see if we were getting enough gas through the line to operate our appliances. This afternoon (Friday), Adam and Jory came to our home and found that we needed a larger meter. They changed out our meter and made sure all of our appliances were working properly. They were very professional, friendly and helpful. Southwest Gas should be complimented for how well their employees dealt with us. Considering it was late Friday afternoon, they still took care of the problem and didn’t say that they would have to come back. This was worthy of 5 stars!!! Thank you guys!!!

I know they are the only ones to call for gas, and they sure treat you like it! Rude and unhelpful 100%! i made an apt and left the key under the mat. I tried turning on heat and it didn’t work. Called and they said they came out but there is something wrong with my heater. I asked for a receipt and they told me no. No one left and form of written anything that they came out. No one would print, e-​mail or fax me any kind of proof, for my landlord. The part that pisses me off is how rude they were in telling me this nonsense. Like I was asking something so unreasonable. I just want proof that they came out, but apparently they refuse to give that to you. I still have to pay for it, but they refuse to give me a receipt. The manager I spoke with was a jerk and so were the one answering phones. Their service and attitudes suck. Id like to find an all electric house so I never have to call back. Good luck dealing with these personalities, extremely rude.

It’s a toss up in Truckee whether your place is going to be heated by gas, electric or a combo of both. If you’ve got a huge white propane tank outside it’s a sure bet Southwest is handling it for you unless you’re hardcore and doing it all yourself. Friendly customer service and prompt technician help when you need it.
