Paco’s Truckee Bike & Ski

Received a personal letter from the manager along with a refund for services rendered earlier. Have yet to return since I am living out of state, but I’m willing to give a second chance to any business who addresses complaints so politely and professionally.

I crashed my bike leading up to Ironman Lake Tahoe, and with extremely short notice, Tad (chief mechanic) was able to get my bike race-​ready in no time. I was exceptionally pleased with the experience. When I picked up the bike, I was pleasantly surprised at how inexpensive it was. I have paid much more for half the service at other bike shops. I *HIGHLY* recommend this place!

Great Shop, great staff, great stuff, loads of killer bikes. I needed some quick help so I could continue on my journey and they helped me out asap, were very unpretentious (hard to find in a bike shop) and charged me next to nothing. I can’t recommend this shop enough. If you bike and your in Tahoe, go there!!!

Paco’s Truckee Bike and Ski set me up with a new Specialized Pitch 650, and it has turned out to be the best bike I have ever owned. Greig was friendly, respectful and helpful. I am an obese lady, so walking into a bike shop can be intimidating. Greig did not hesitate to offer help, and to make sure that the bike I was considering was a good fit for my height, and for the bike’s intended use on paved and dirt trails. The bike was tuned perfectly the day I picked it up, and has run silently and seamlessly over the last week. I am extremely impressed with this shop, and will continue to do business with them on a regular basis. They also have an excellent supply of parts and accessories, as well as Local Bike Trail Maps and cycling information.

So far my family has bought three bikes from Pacos and we are always pleased with the experience. We think their prices are reasonable for Truckee and their customer service is great. Always very helpful, knowledgeable and honest. Will definitely buy more bikes from them in the future.

Paco’s is my favorite and go-​to retailer in the Tahoe for cycling and ski gear.
I first discovered Paco’s because of its expert cycling technicians and inventory. Paco’s is where other retailers refer you too, when they do not have what you desire or need, and that is a very good and special feature of Tahoe’s sports retailers — Tahoe retails are driven to serve the customer.
The Paco’s team is also outstanding at assessing your needs and recommending the best, for your needs and budget. Its staff invests the time to ensure you have the correct gear and fit for your application. Recently, I purchased back country gear from Paco’s and Grieg invested more than an hour to sample different boots to achieve the best for fit and feature for me and my application.
In my opinion you pay no premium for this top-​leveI service. The prices are as low or lower than on-​line sport stores for top-​line gear. I do not believe it was possible to get Paco’s superlative level of service and price anywhere for what I needed.
A very cool and final feature of Paco’s is that each staff member is an expert at what it sells: cycling or skiing; racing, recreating or exploring.

Phenomenal experience! My friend and I wanted to try fat/​snow bikes. The melting snow was our last chance. Quick call to reserve two bikes, got greeted by really nice staff who knew all of our French soccer players and there we go for a nice afternoon riding. I really recommend Paco’s bikes Truckee!

Visiting from bay area to compete in Ironman Lake Tahoe and can’t say enough good thing about Paco’s! The entire staff is helpful and friendly and they get to work on a small bike adjustment right on the spot. Paco even took his saddle off his bike to let me use it for the race!!! (My saddle had been stolen, with my bike prior to race :(. Excellent all around.
