Look, I’m a busy adult with 395,084 things on her already addled mind. It drives me crazy to come into a store and realize that practically none of the items are tagged with its final sales price. So you have to go hunt down two signs — the sign that tells you how much this item on this particular sales rack is discounted, and then another sign that calculates the final price. OHFORGOD’S SAKE. I know this just eats up .075 of a nanosecond of my life, but it’s still MY life. Just tag the items with its final sales price. Rant over. Inventory wise, it’s hit or miss. Sometimes great bargains.

We went back to Bass Truckee and what a difference in service! The store was very well staffed, and everyone was eager to help. The staff was even helpful over the phone the day after. The store was clean, and well organized. I would not hesitate to buy shoes here in the future so long as this level of service is maintained.

This is one of my favorite spots to shop in Truckee! Welcoming staff and great selection of good quality staples for clothes, shoes and accessories at super reasonable prices. Discovered it this past Christmas and found gifts for many people on my list and went again today to check out the early bird specials and get some spring gear :)

This store, Bass, is terrible! All signage is misleading. 20 minutes of shopping and a half-hour to check-out. Why they don’t have«down and dirty» signage, beats me. The staff and store manager doesn’t have a price clue! Scan your bar-codes for final discount price, tied to your signs, and don’t do manual cashier discounts! That takes a brain. Men’s colored t-shirt, Regularly $ 40(think over-priced?), now $ 12.99. But the discount comes off the original $ 40. Buy 1, get 2 free, take an extra 30% off, and today get 10% off. If you only buy 1, get 65% off. Stand on one foot and get an extra 5% off. Yes, I can get within a buck of the cost in my mind, their computers/cashiers can’t. Can’t wait to see what my credit card statement looks like! The customer doesn’t see a register screen, just the final receipt. So many voids! Just go out of business.

I’m picky on shoes and so stopped in the Vacaville outlet which had nothing good. So, after skiing, I went in this location and found the perfect work shoe and it was 70% off from their usual $ 80 price. But they didn’t have my size in the color I wanted. Surprisingly, one of the helpful managers here told me I could special order it for a reasonable $ 6 shipping charge and whichever store in the country had one would send it to me. Worked out perfectly and got the shoes in 5 days
