Troy Family Aquatic Center

Great fun for the kids and reasonable entry free. They even have family nights where the fee is half off! The kids have two separate pools, there are two large slides, and a large adult area. We go throughout the summer!

I’m torn between 3 and 4 stars due to how packed the place gets, I give it 4 stars when theres not tons of annoying people flighting over a chairs. I feel like they let in to many people sometimes.
The Pros
–Great Family fun outdoor swim place
–The Kiddie area they have it gated off from the big pool so the little ones don’t wonder over. It has a spray area, and a small pool with slide. Only thing I don’t like about this side is the waterfall is to loud you can’t hear yourself think.
–The Main large pool has a zero entry and has swim laps roped off. it’s a great size pool and if you have little ones who can’t swim yet you can let them wear a «lifeguard approved» swimmer in that pool. You just have to make sure it’s approved with the people working the front desk area first.
–The Waterslide they have is great for adults and kids you sit in a tube to go down.
–Beach Volleyball, big giant sandbox play area for kids
–Lots of chairs and beach chairs and a grassy/​hilly area to lay beach towels on
–Snackbar that serves pizza, nachos, salads, pretzels, ice cream, slushies, pop, water and more. With tables to eat at since you can’t take any food or drinks into the pool area.
–Picnic area outside of pool area with tables where you can bring and eat your own food
–Lifeguards are amazing here and actually watch the people… they really do their job well and I hope they pay them good there cuz there should.
–You get a wristband so you can go in and out of the pool area
–Bathroom/​Dressing room/​Shower area is nice, wet but nice
The Cons
–When it gets crowded it’s VERY crowded and people save seats for other people who may not be there for hours
–When the pool does get packed a line forms out front and there is now a wait, a long wait.
–Only thing you can bring in is water… no food and no other drinks, although I see people sneak stuff in all the time they might as well let us.
–A lot of High schoolers and 20somethings people hanging around in HUGE groups like it’s a club just sitting or standing in the water taking up so much room, all thats missing is the cabanas and a bar, it’s so annoying.
–Parking is a pain when the lot fills
