Horrible service. Our server literally took one persons order then walked away… there were still two other people who had to order. He messed up one of the orders as well. But to top it all off, a table next to us asked to switch servers because the man serving them was gay. For any establishment to let this people get away with this discriminative behavior is an establishment I will never return to. How dare you not ask them to leave.

I would give this place negative stars simply because I’m hungry and pissed now. I have never in my life walked out of a restaurant before after ordering food! My sisters and I ordered simple things off the menu so we could get a quick bite before we start our fast. We came in at 3:15 to be exact and walked out still waiting for our food at 4:02 am! 15 minutes after we were told they were brining our food out. I wouldn’t be this mad if the table of 5 guys didn’t come after us and got their food 20 minutes after their arrival! Even if I stayed, I wouldn’t be able to eat the food because of fast timing. First and last time here… Our water/coffee was not even refilled in the 40 + minutes there. I’ll probably go back and give them couple more dollars for the coffee I had. I left hastily and now feel kind of bad about that But that’s about it. I’ll be hangry all day now because of this.

Very disappointed. Food was very bland, could’ve gone to Denny’s for better taste and half the price. Service was extremely slow. Guests that were seated at the same time as us, received their food, ate, and left all before we even got our food. It wasn’t until after we said something to our server that she brought our food out. Won’t be coming back

Came here for brunch; in hindsight should have gone to iHop instead. It was busy due to Mother’s Day but that wasn’t the problem. Had the mimosas which were good but it went downhill from there. Order a dish from their speciality menu for Mother’s Day and we were told that they were out of one of their main ingredients. Fine, ordered another dish. Sat there for nearly 40minutes before food came out. But before the food came, was told they were out of wheat toast that came with a breakfast skillet we ordered. Overheard another server say they were almost out of coffee. Our waitress did not apologize that our food came late. Other parties that had been seated at the same time we did were already out the door. The food lived up to the service: mediocre at best. There’s a McDonald’s across the street; that would be a better option than this place.

I like their chili and their burger is surprisingly good, really good. I’m yet to try their pizza rings

For a place that’s better than a Coney Island but not as good as a 5 star spot, The Hills will fit your needs. Great food and service and the fact they’re open 24 hours is the bonus! I’ve had most of the stuff on their menu and it’s all good.

Well everybody knows this was the Ram’s Horn — way back, so it’s certainly an UPGRADE from what it used to be. There’s nothing on the menu at $ 4.99-$ 7.99 like a basic burger or a basic chicken sandwich, I think because they got away from that clientele and its NOT1999 !! I don’t blame the owner for starting things at $ 8.99 and UP !!! He’s gotta turn a profit !!! I enjoyed my PATTYMELT(½ lb sirloin burger), but the guy(brother) I was with was acting like a girl and complaining — ANDFORWHAT !!! We’re not at the Capital Grill !!!

Bring my family to this place often and the food and service is always good. Love that they serve mimosas and bloody Mary’s for breakfast. I can’t say anything bad about this place and am super confused as to why their rating is so low.

So my boyfriend, a friend of our and myself stopped here on our way home and that was at about 1:45am, nobody greeted us and I had to grab our menus myself. After sitting and trying to flag down anybody at this point because our entire purpose of going at that time was to beat the 2am bar crowd since it was a Saturday night. FINALLY a lady grabbed our drink order and then shortly after a new waitress wrote down our order, we all ordered breakfast assuming it would be quick but boy were we wrong! I ordered a ham and cheese omelette add green peppers and after waiting for our food for 50 freaking minutes!!!(Yes we timed it since it took forever just to get a servers attention and they weren’t even busy!) My omelette came out with just cheese and green peppers, I was really pissed we just waiting nearly an hour for breakfast food and it didn’t even come out right… I knew we wouldn’t see our serve again so I just ate it anyways since I was so hungry… After we were done eating our server came and asked how we were doing and I let her know my omelette came out with no ham and she said we would have it taken off our bill also at the point in time our friend asked for a box. We assumed she would be right back with a box and our bill but again there we sat waiting AGAIN. It got to the point where I stood up and went over to the nearest server begged her for our bills because at this point it was 3:30 am and we got there at 1:45!!! Our friend had to use a napkin because our server never came back with a box and the omelette was never taken off the bill or even discounted… I paid $ 10 for a tiny green pepper and cheese omelette… Needless to say we won’t be back, EVER!

Such a good place to go if you want a quick meal. I like their chicken noodle soup. They also have some good pizza and buffalo wraps! I don’t suggest the French onion soup though it’s just very oily! Very nice staff as well! They also have a cute little bar though even though he was the first bartender I’ve met to not know what an Angry Balls was.

Food takes FOREVER to be cooked and served … At least 45 minutes. Not sure if kitchen staff is slow or understaffed but the wait time for your food to arrive is CRAZY slow. My dads wheat bread was burnt for his blt. My rye bread was hard to chew, not sure if they toasted frozen bread or if it was old but disappointing none the less. The fresh fruit was fresh. But they were out of cream cheese so we couldn’t order what we originally wanted. Not the quality and service we remember when this was a Ram’s Horn years ago :(

We went for brunch around 11:30am. The service was okay — not friendly but not terrible either. I ordered the eggs Benedict and it was delicious. Hubby got a breakfast platter and kids got fish & fries. Both were big portions and tasty. Coffee didn’t come with a spoon or cream. We stirred with a knife and took cream from another table. We came here because our original choice had no power… but we were not impressed. So food was good, service — mediocre.

Do yourself a favor and do NOT eat here. This place is an abomination. The Hills City Grill might just be the worst restaurant I’ve ever frequented. Nearly everything on the menu is frozen and tastes outdated. I’ve given this restaurant a couple tries a few years ago and recently decided to give it another whirl because of their convenient late night hours. A Unilocal post of a picture of calamari actually made me think they had upgraded their menu but boy was I wrong. I honestly couldn’t tell if they had brought calamari to the table or oil drenched overlooked French fries. I’ve never written a bad review on anything before but, this place totally deserves it. What a waste of a prime location. Note to the owners of this establishment, do something about your putrid menu or sell to someone who cares about what they are serving their customers.

My husband loves the pizza here and we’ve been probably a dozen times, but I think the rest of the food is just ok and fairly pricey considering other similarly priced options nearby. Chili — ok Pizza sticks — good Filet Mignon — toughest steak I’ve ever attempted to eat. I sent this back. Fry block appetizer — meh. Simple eggs and bacon breakfast — ok. Biscuits and gravy — good What really ruins this place for me is the taste of their water. I have no idea whether the glass is dirty, the pitcher is dirty, the ice machine is dirty or what, but the water here tastes distinctly like dirty dishclothes smell is and is therefore undrinkable. It grosses me out. Order soda or coffee and the smell still seems to linger.

The menu makes no sense. 1. Some of the items on the menu are no longer available yet they’re still on the menu. 2. There’s breakfast special omelettes(ham&cheese) that are priced $ 5.79 with the same ingredients as the $ 7.99 omelette. Yet another regular priced $ 7.99 omelette(vegetarian) you can’t order for $ 5.79 during the morning specials hour. 3. The bar: I came in here one time and tried to order several common drinks but the bartender(who you tell had no bartender experience/training) had no idea how to make them. 4. Service: Hit or miss. Waitresses need to pay attention to things like coffee getting low, keeping the sweetener and creamer at the tables stocked and cleaning off the table of plates, etc when it’s blatantly obvious that they’re done eating, bringing the bill in a timely manner. 5. The wireless internet strength barely makes it to the first row of booths. The rest of the restaurant coverage is spotty at best. I will give them credit for going outside the normal Superior coffee and basic creamer options i.e. the Lavazza coffee and the Int’l Delight creamer and some less common menu items and the complimentary coffee for the road is a nice bonus. Maybe this place needs to stick to the basics first before trying to be everything to everyone. Owner(s): Eat at The Country Inn of Clinton Twp some time.

This is my favorite spot to hit whenever I’m near Troy. The atmosphere is laid back but inviting, and they’re willing to seat a large party upon arrival if space permits. The wait staff is always friendly and helpful, and are quick with refills and other requests. The noise is never overbearing. With the menu, you really can’t go wrong with anything. I usually get a pizza or one of their calzones and have always been happy with what I ordered. The menu does not have many cheap($) options, but for what you pay you get a lot of food, and I usually ask for a to-go box. I definitely recommend The Hills! A sweet place when you’re looking for good food at late-night.

This is seriously one of my favorite places to go to! So much so that I’ve recommended it to my family and they love it as well. When the stars align and we’re all able to grab breakfast, we come here because they’ve got an amazing menu with many options to choose from and, most importantly, a chef who knows what they’re doing! I highly recommend the Buffalo Chicken Mac and Cheese and you will NOT be disappointed! The pizza sticks are great, as well! I’ve also had the Egg Benedict and The Hills Billy– both amazing bfast options as well! Best of all, they have mimosas! So if you’re trying to do a nice, swanky brunch place in Troy, COMEHERE!!! I’d give the service about 3.75−4 Stars, I’ve come here time and time again and they never stop by a bit later in my meal to ask for refills on my water. But they are very friendly! And the portions they give you are so filling, it’s definitely worth the $$!! If you’re in the Troy/Rochester area(those are the two locations I know of), I definitely recommend a stop here!

Been to this place for the first time a few nights ago. Came with a large group so we decided to order to two plates of the Nies sticks which are essentally like stuffed turnovers. Both the vegetarian one and the nonvegetarian one were delicious and well-worth the trip. Bonus is that this is one of the few places in Troy that are open 24 hours. To a hungry college student such as myself, places like this are a dime a dozen. Definitely looking forward to trying out their other specialties.

Today was my fourth visit. — Blood Mary: Had it twice. The rim has a salty and coffee quality to it, not as salty as a celery salt rim like I receive at most places. First time I had it the flavor was much more pronounced, today I didn’t notice. Good Mary though! — Sy Ginsberg Corned Beef & Hash: Total win. Totally fresh, and made to perfection. Props to fellow Unilocaler Eric S. for the recommendation of adding sautéed onions, asking for eggs poached soft, and hollandaise on the side. Ohmehgurd! I eat the eggs with yummy hollandaise and some corned beef hash, then after that I go crazy on the remaining hash with franks red hot. — Buffalo Crispy Chicken Sandwich: This was on a lunch menu card, maybe a special? It was a crispy buffalo chicken breast on a toasted brioche bun with crumbled blue cheese, blue cheese dressing, shredded lettuce, tomato, and pickle. Served with some crunchy and hot waffle fires(waffle fries were special, no longer available). This sandwich was awesome. The crispy chicken breast was clearly dunked in a bowl of buffalo glory. Blue Cheese crumbles were bountiful, and the dressing mixed with the shredded lettuce. POW! I’ve always had nice service, and food quality has been good.

I can’t get enough of the Sy Gingsburgs Corned Beef Hash and Eggs! I’ve been here for dinner a few times, but more recently, I’ve started coming here for breakfast with the wife and a friend. I’ve never been disappointed with the food here, and kind of find the bad reviews a little surprising(I have never been here for the«after bar» experience, though). My friend ordered«The Hills Billy». This is a country omelette, with sausage, onion, cheese and crispy home made hash browns smothered in sausage gravy. You also get your choice of toast or biscuits… My friend chose the biscuits and was quite happy, as they are freshly baked. My wife had the Florentine Benedict. This take on Eggs Benedict has spinach and a large tomato slice, topped with a poached egg and Hollandaise. She also was very happy with her meal, and said it tasted great. The«properly poached» eggs are always done correctly here. I, for the second time, ordered the Sy Gingsburg’s Corned Beef Hash and Eggs. I’m particular about my Corned Beef Hash, and this place makes me smile. They prepare their corned beef daily, and it shows. I tell you now, this is no canned Corned Beef Hash! Chopped Corned Beef is grilled with onions and potatoes to make a crispy symphony in your mouth. You get your choice of egg… I choose the soft poached egg. The meal is served with a side of Hollandaise, if you want that Benedict flavor. I alternate between a yolkey bite and some with a bit of the sauce. I’m struggling to find a better hash in the area. The prices aren’t the lowest here, but they aren’t crazy either. The service has always been quite friendly, and the food is great.
