After our fiasco with a Maryville motel, we rang up Super 8. Staff was VERYKIND. Dashed over, got a smoking room with 2 beds. Elevator was really helpful, vending/ice machine right by it. Hallway, and more importantly the room were IMPECCABLY updated and CLEAN!!! After a long hot drive from Chicago, were relieved that A/C was CRANKING!!! Indoor pool with hot tub open till 10 pm which is great. Only complaint was the coffee maker in room was kapoot, so I made my hot tea in microwave instead. Cute refrig to store your doggie bags from the MANY w/in walking distance restaurants surrounding hotel. GREAT free breakfast included waffles, fruit, bagels, toast etc., with OJ or Apple Juice, Coffee and condiments. Continually restocked by desk clerk. Commmffffyyyy beds and great pillows. We were almost sad to leave. We WILL be repeat customers!!! Most importantly, it’s about 10 – 15 from Gateway Arch in St Louis!!!

Had a family emergency and booked here for a few nights. Lobby is nice and the room was acceptable. There were a few stains on the bed but none on the linens. You can tell there are smoking rooms, there is the slight smell of cigarettes in the hotel and on the towels and linens. Some of the extra blankets we asked for had cigarette burns in them. Continental breakfast was pretty good, waffles, cereal, sweet rolls, bagels, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, coffee and juice. The pool is small but nice. Staff was friendly and helpful, i would stay again.

It’s surprising how few hotel options there are in the Highland area. This location was a good option for my wife and I — being about 20 minutes down the interstate. It was also one of the cheapest options in the area(around $ 50 on ). There was an indoor pool and hot tub, but they didn’t always seem the cleanest and were pretty small. The room was clean enough, and the bed was much more comfortable than an air mattress on my mother-in-law’s floor. As for the A/C turning on and off, that is only because it has a thermostat — just like a normal house, it only runs when it needs to. To keep it running continuously just set it to «fan.» The breakfast was OK, decent options and free!

We booked this hotel on based on the good recents reviews and the reasonable price. We were pleasantly surprised. The front desk lady was nice and helpful. The room was spacious, with newly updated bed, headboard, new dressers, TV stand and flat screen TV. The bed is nice and comfy as well. I was especially happy that they have PBS channel, because this means my son will be able to watch some kids shows in the morning while we pack — this was great since many hotels we’ve stayed before did not have PBS or anything suitable for young kids on TV. The one star missing was for the older, thin towels they provided. They also only have paper cups in the room which was not the best when I wanted to make a cup of tea by boiling water in the microwave. And the indoor pool although seemed nice, they don’t open until 10am, then check-out time is 11am so there’s not much time for us to enjoy the pool. The wifi was ok, it stayed on to the most part, only dropped out on me twice and then it worked the rest of the night. Overall this has been a very nice stay. We’ll rebook this hotel if we were ever in the area again.
