Food is ok. I ordered the kachori chaat and Marchi pakoras. My husband ordered dosa and was disappointed with sambar.

I along with one of my friends wanted to have a break from routine food and try some Indian Chat and Pani Puri. The only name came into my mind«Sai Sweets». The taste was as usual really good and for a moment I felt like I was eating in India. I would definitely recommend you to try this place.

We stopped in hoping we would make the buffet, but missed it by a short while(closes at 3, I think we got there at 3:20 or so). I can see this place getting crazy busy, and the space is not that large. There are two long display cases — one with sweets, and one with savories — and a menu on the wall behind. The menu requires a level of familiarity with Indian food — there are no descriptions. The space comes across really cafeteria– or canteen-ey. You order at the counter and then your food is brought to the table — at least it was for us. I could see this being a problem when it’s busy. We ordered a bhel puri(I found it a tad dry, my sister liked is), Chole Batura(good! not too greasy) and the paneer tikka masala pizza(not what we expected — we anticipated tikka masala sauce and paneer, it was a regular pizza topped with tomatoes, onion, panner, kasturi methi, and some spices. Not that great). I also got a samosa and a kachori as snacks for my plane ride home — those were both really good, an appropriate balance of spices. They were a bit greasy by the time I ate them, but probably would have been ok if I ate them hot. I also got my dad some masala cashews from the savories case. I was going to get a mango lassi, but they make them in batches and at the time I was there they had been sitting around in the drinks case long enough that they had separated so I decided to pass. The price was really reasonable — if I recall correctly, the chaat was about $ 6 – 7, the other two items were in the $ 8 – 9 range, and the samosa and kachori were $ 1 each. Overall, it was a pretty solid experience. I’d go back!

I feel the need to point out that it isn’t really Indian«fast» food, but more like India’s street food! Now that we got that cleared up, let’s talk about all the noms here. They’re 100% vegetarian, and they literally have so much to choose from! I ordered myself the pani puri(they have a diff name) the first time I went here, and it was fantastic! Second time I was a little more hungry and I ordered the gobi manchurian and this Chana dish which I can’t remember the name of right now but OMG yum! I think they’re pretty similar to what Neehee’s in canton offer, but whos got the time to drive that far? Not me, for sure. The restaurant is clean, and they offer free cups for water. Everything is served on paper plates with plastic spoons, but I could give a flying fudge when the food is just that good. I haven’t actually tried the sweets yet which I consider to be a fail cause this place is clearly a sweet shop mainly, but I guess I’m more of a savory gal. side note: they have pizza. you’re welcome.

Our favorite is pav bhaji there. Bhaji is the best here. Dosas are good too and sambar is even better. They need to improve the consistency of food taste n quality though.(Big time)

I needed a large order of samosas for a party. It was so easy to order through Sai Sweets and they were absolutely delicious and a big hit! The order came with both the green and brown chutneys, and they were delicious as well. I called around, and I’m so glad I ended up ordering from here. Update: I changed my review from 5 to 3 stars. I’ve dined in a few times now, and except for one kind server, I have unfortunately not received any friendly service. The owner wanders around and never even makes eye contact with or smiles at the customers. It’s not shyness, but more of an arrogance. That comes off incredibly annoying and rude. He even came up to the register once to help one of his employees with my payment, and as I’m standing right there, still no smile or hello. Once, I was the only customer dining in there with my baby and still no smiles or hellos or assistance with the high chair, etc. The food is great. The prices are higher compared to when this place was Royal Indian Sweets. A friendly hello and friendly smile instead of serious silent faces can go a long way. It doesn’t matter if it’s a McDonald’s type or a 5 start restaurant!

I went to buy some sweets to distribute in my office. Since I wanted in a good box to present, i selected a box instead of plastic carry away they offer. Condition was minimum of 2LB purchase which was ok. But when they weighed, the 2LB was with the weight of box. The box is quite heavy and easily counts upto 0.4LB. so with the rate of 11 $/LB i paid 4 $ for a box and apart from 22 $ for some sweet including box, i also paid a tax. TAX on a food item which is strange.

Went for lunch buffet over the weekend and found the place to be pretty below average, this was my first visit. Vegetables were over cooked and some were too low on salt. Spread was pretty limited when compared to the other places who charge almost the same. It was around 12.30 in the afternoon and the place had only couple of tables taken should have taken clue from that ! The lady over the counter was pretty stiff and seemed un-welcoming. Not sure how come some reviews come with 5 starts for sure I have experienced better at a lot of other places !

Have been to this shop just now for buying Indian sweets. I was just shocked with the explanation the lady over there gave me with the price. For a pound of kaju sweets the actual cost is 9.99 $ and she gave me a in box and charged the weight of the box along with sweets which weighted 1.3 pounds and she has charged 15 $. The same sweets cost me 7.99 $ in Patel brothers which come with a very decent pack. My week end started with a very disappointing incident. I never dare to go this shop again.

We LOVE this place. It’s vegetarian(no meat on the menu at all). Fast food Indian style . Our favorite is the Chole Bhatura, but they also make a wonderful variety of Dosa(South Indian crêpe), and Kulfi Falooda(ice cream with sweet noodles). Their sweets are to die for, and make a wonderful gift on your way to a party! If your an Indian, Indian cuisine enthusiast, or just curious to try something new you should check out this place! Prices are reasonable, service is fast(fast food style). Note: dishes are on the medium hot to hot side(no mild here)!

The quantity is a joke. 1 samosa is for $ 1 and 1 vada paav is $ 4 lol. Really? They don’t understand the logic at all. Food taste is good but not the quantity. Do not buy vada paav and dabeli from here at all.

My sister and I went for lunch one weekday, ordered the choley puri, pani puri, and bhel puri. All three dishes were pretty good tasting. These are traditional veg dishes, not to much variation in general, so it would’ve been bad for a restaurant to not make it well. There is huge sweets selection. I’ve only tried the rasmalai, which wasn’t up to my standard(I’m picky cuz I’ve had amazing rasmalai in chicago) but still decent. Overall a good place to eat. Clean, nice staff. Heard their weekend buffet is great, offers it all. If you’re vegetarian then definitely check out the buffet

I had ordered for onion & chilli uttapam but I got onion & scallion uttapam. Even it’s not typical South Indian taste is not there. sambar Chutney was ok. masala dosa masala was good. But dosa is like papad. I won’t recommend this place for anyone.

I don’t understand the negative reviews at all. My experience has been exactly the opposite. First the place is very clean. Staff is very friendly(you have to initiate conversation but they do engage in conversation). Service is excellent(no one is pushy and you get your order quickly). Also, the selection is outstanding. They offer lower cost but still filling appetizers. They offer South Indian dishes like dosas which are massive in size. They have North Indian curries that are delicious. That variety alone is pretty impressive as the menu really does cover the range of Indian cuisine. The value for cost is generally good too. So to me this is much more than fast food. Then there is a huge snack and sweet section(and the sweets are high quality). They have delicious lassis(yogurt based drinks of which I llke the mango variety) and the chai here is generally very good too(I say generally because one person in our group once had chai that tasted a bit stale). On weekdays they have an all-you-can-eat thali. You get a plate with small bowls with different curries, rice, a yogurt portion and a dessert and also a «bread» to go with it. They will keep restocking any item that you want. The flavor is outstanding. It’s also a great idea and one that I have not seen at any other Indian restaurant in the area. On weekends they have a buffet that is excellent in selection. A mild complaint is that some of the dishes taste the same(spices used may be similar I guess) and sometimes the appetizers are dry. However there are a wide variety of chutneys, yogurt dishes, and a salad and fruit section to go with this buffet so that helps with any dish that is too dry or flavored too similarly. There are also multiple desserts which is a nice touch on any buffet(as, if you don’t like one dessert there is always another). It’s about $ 9 for the buffet, so price for value I think it is the best deal in the area(Krishna Catering also offers a greet price for value on its buffet). On certain nights they also have a chaat station. You take the dry/wafer-like base and add vegetables, spices and different chutneys. That chaat station is by far my favorite item even moreso than the buffet. So, I have no major complaints and actually many compliments. In fact I forgot to mention that they have now added about 6 – 7 different pizzas to the menu as well. I have only tried this once though. The one pizza I tried was good but ok I admit, that at around $ 9-$ 10 these small/personal sized pizzas may be a bit overpriced. Still it’s a great option to have and I love that sense of innovation! As to the negative reviews, I’ve noticed that some people who go to Indian restaurants expect the owners and staff basically to cater to their every whim. C’mon, cry me a river that you asked for spice level 6 and they gave you 5 or that they couldn’t show you the cow that was used to get the milk for the lassi lol! No restaurant is perfect but at least acknowledge those who are trying(and doing a good job at that).

My experience in this place is mixed I went in to buy 25 samosa as we have a small get together in my uncle’s house. By the appearance of the sweets I thought of trying some of them. Started my tasting with a ‘gulabjamun’. Believe it or not it’s just like a rock it’s hard to cut through it. And even the stuff is over priced But the best thing is samosa which we Took them to home and are actually amazing. Will I visit again: May be Value for money: 60% Staff: good Dish you have to try: Samosa.

Have been here a few times. Stick to their sweets, appetizers and South Indian Menu. Chinese on the menu — stay away for your life. On the last visit the«masala» with the dosa had the smell of potatoes gone bad. I thought i was the only one getting it then others on the table had the same experience. Pointed it out the hostess but really did not much of a response The bhel was really good Chinese«yucks» — the veg manchurian was in a gravy of tomato sauce. The manchurian veg balls were not even heated up– they were not fresh — microwaved that too not properly — for 8.99 you get 5 pieces in a sea of gravy. They have a veg buffet but have never tried it. If you go here — their indian desserts /sweets are good — have a large variety, the Indian snacks — the chaats /bhel etc are a must. The south indian items are also quite good. Please please stay away from all the Chinese on the menu. We tried a few — no way going back for them Customer service could do better.

I’ve had the samosa chaat and kachori chaats here before and they really are on point for me. There is enough heat to make me want to take more bites but not so much that it takes away from the flavor of the dish and/or causes me excruciating pain. The proportions are also decent for the price. I am looking forward to trying the thali buffet they have on Thursdays I believe for those who are interested.

Brings back street chaat from India ! My favorites — Paav Bhaji, Dahi Puri and Aloo Tikki. My friends from the area come here to experience what they have been missing. Thursdays is the Chaat Buffet day and it is very crowded around dinner time but plan to be there before 6:00 and you will not be disappointed. Also an awesome selection of Indian Sweets and Murukku.

Workers are very rude. The food is a little below average… I went 3 times to try a few things and give them the benefit of the doubt. Strike three, you’re out. Also noted that they are very cheap and stingy with things like dressings. She tried to give me this tiny plastic cup with about a teaspoon of sauce for 4 samosas to be shared with two people, and gave me a real attitude when I said it wasn’t nearly enough sauce. And on Diwali no less! I’ll never return.

Service was ok. The food quality was not as good as I have expected. I ordered an aloo tikki chaat and all I got was a soggy combination of aloo tikki(potato patties), chick peas, thin yoghurt and some sweet sauce. The patties were fresh but dry. The combination was not as good as it should be. Note to management: you could add more chick peas with thick gravy to the aloo tiki. Also, make sure that the yoghurt is not very thin and watery. Also, use fresh cilantro instead of using cilantro that has been out for hours.
