Okay, this place is by far the worst salon I have ever laid my eyes on. I called their number THREE times and nobody picked up. But, mistakenly, I had a little hope for Purenvie and went anyway to get some threading done. I come to the salon AND THE THREADER WAS NOT EVEN THERE. What sort of salon is this, and why didn’t they keep it clear about when the threader is their, which I would assume be everyday. And I wouldn’t even be that mad, but I wasn’t gas getting there, if they answered their phone, I didn’t have to waste my precious time and gas. So unprofessional. The last you could do it answer the phone of your costumers. Never even bothering going again. STEAR CLEAR OF PURENVIE, I am really disappointed at their service and this is not acceptable. Not impressed. Never

I found this place through Unilocal for eyebrow threading. I just moved to the area from LA so I’m used to being able to finding a threading place at every corner. I was pretty disappointed with the threading. The good stuff first. She is very fast and friendly. There’s nothing I hate more than sitting in the chair and getting each hair plucked out individually. It’s cruel and unusual torture.
The bad stuff though. She is a little careless. I’ve been to her a couple times and she always leaves stray hairs and I have to check her work thoroughly. She also doesn’t do anything great with the shape of the eyebrows. If you have a good shape and need a quick clean up and have no other options, I would check her out.
I also started coming here for laser hair removal for my upper lip. I’ve only been to one session but I love it. Varinder is really sweet, meticulous and great at what she does. I would definitely recommend her.

Wonderful job with the threading, I was in and out under ten minutes which was great, they squeezed me in same day, and it was NEAR painless. Couldn’t be more happy, Rani was wonderful– will be going back again!

Rani has been my only eyebrow lady for the last couple of years but after the last two experiences I have had, I will never go back to her. About 5 months ago, I went to her and she completely butchered my left eyebrow. After I left the salon, my left eyebrow was noticeably higher than the right and she took off too much in the center on the left side so it looks like it belongs on another face. I was so upset but loved Rani so I let it grow back for 4 whole months and went back to give her another chance. My fault. I went last week and actually told her I’ve been growing that left eyebrow so they can be even again. So what happens? She did the exact same thing as she did last time. My eyebrows are so crooked now that I notice it every time I look in the mirror. I don’t know how long or will take me to grow my left eyebrow back now. It took my 4 months the last time. Never going back.

Rani is fantastic. I just moved from California, where you couldn’t throw a stone for fear of hitting a gaggle of threaders. In Michigan, they seem to be few and far between! Rani does a fantastic job – I had a full face threading and it was a piece. Of. Cake.

Linda Sorrell is amazing! I have never been disappointed with a haircut, style, perm, or color that I’ve gotten from her and she has been doing my hair for 20 years. She’s gotten me through my short and long hair phases and now that she’s been giving me highlights the last couple of years, I’ve gotten more compliments on my hair than ever before. Linda definitely has great skills with hair!

Threading is great. I’ve been doing it for many many years and have been to many places to have it done. I came here because of the good reviews. I went to Rani because I’ve heard only wonderful things. It costs $ 10 for eyebrows an $ 10 for chin or upper lip, but if done in combination then it’s only 5 (i.e. 15 for brow and upper lip). I’ve actually gotten threaded my eyebrows threaded in Chicago (on Devon Ave.) for under $ 5, but the prices here are still reasonable (or comparable) to other places I’ve been in Michigan.
Rani was great. She was really nice, and for some reason her methods were significantly less painful than other threading places I’ve been. I don’t know if I loved the outcome. It’s definitely not my favorite, but my eyebrows are definitely a lot cleaner, ad it’s still better than any waxing job I’ve gotten (they have a lot more control). I would have liked more of an arch, but maybe I should have explicitly told her that prior. I will go back next time and make it explicit what I want and see if she can tailor it.
I think if you are new to threading you should definitely try this place. The «pain» from threading is barely noticeable (usually I describe it as a painful tickle, or kind of what it feels like when using an epilator). It’s fairly priced, and she knows what she’s doing. You’ll be blown away that you didn’t try threading before.

Based on my genes, I have pretty thick eyebrows and some upper lip hair that requires vigilant care. I used to do waxing, but I’m not a fan of having my hair ripped out, especially when the results are not accurate.
Threading is AMAZING — by twisting a cotton thread, laying it over the unwanted hair, and pulling like an accordion, each hair is snagged and pulled out. No wax, no residue, no scalding, and the pulling is far more gentle than using tweezers. Also, after threading (assuming your threader is talented) your eyebrows are extremely fine-​tuned and natural, and every single hair from your upper lip is gone!
So, this brings us to Rani, PurEnvie’s threader. I’ve been to a many different threaders, and Rani is, BY FAR, the GREATEST threader I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. She’s so gentle that even the most timid and fearful would have a great first-​time threading experience with her. Furthermore, the price is unbeatable. I highly recommend a visit to see her for your eyebrow needs!

The place I was going to closed, so I used Unilocal to find a new place and went here. I saw Rani and she did a wonderful job. The place is nice and clean. Rani is very nice and did a great job.

I just started going to this place. They have a good eyebrow lady. I really like the way she did mine.

I have heard nothing but good things from this place but my individual experience was one of the worst I have ever had in a salon setting.
I went when the owner — who I wish was there, as I have heard she is wonderful — was not there. A woman took me to do my eyebrows instead. I had a wax done and before she could even finish, I left. She didn’t know what she was doing, burned me, and ruined the shape of my eyebrows when I only wanted a clean up. She kept talking to her friends in the salon while trying to reassure me it would be fine. She even told me, when I got up to leave with one eyebrow terribly butchered and the other saved from her clutches that I should come back tomorrow and have them re-​done. I politely said thank you and left and headed to a more expensive salon which thankfully fixed the damage. Unfortunately for me, though, the woman’s service was unforgivable and I will not return.

This is still my #1 favorite place to get my eyebrows threaded. It’s still only $ 10.00. Upper lip or chin threading is also $ 10.00, but it’s only $ 5 if done in conjunction with your eyebrow threading. I didn’t need that, but I tried to convince my mom to have her «mustache» removed. She’s such a chicken.
It is a fairly painless procedure and you’ll love the results. I am hooked on threading! It only takes minutes to a less hairy you. Rani is the best! Call before you go as she is only here three days a week.
