My Dad insisted that I get a new garage door to replace the half rotten wooden one on the detached garage of my Boo Radley Estate. He wanted a vinyl insulated with garage door opener on it and I wanted a crappy bottom of the line roll up aluminum. We ultimately compromised on a vinyl door without an opener. Because my dad handled most of the transactions, as an early birthday/christmas present, I’m not sure if I was given all of the cheaper options that I wanted but: the door is nice, it opens with little effort and does not require the finesse my rotten wood one did. They dropped the door head because I had a custom sized door(so nailing some wood to drop the head rather than custom making a door was a money saver) and its actually semi-sealed at the bottom despite the irregular flooring below. The woman I spoke to on the phone was a little«brief» but I don’t anticipate having to deal with them again. Oh and it was installed 4 days earlier than originally promised so bonus points. There are not a lot of options for garage doors so…
