At our latest monthly real estate meeting here and we were just getting started but a few extra people showed up. We ordered and then proceeded to rearrange the tables to accommodate everyone. Our server, Rachael, was a real pro and everyone got what they ordered; and our coffee cups never got empty. Good food, good prices, and great, experienced people on staff. Come in, order, and relax!

Clean, fast diner food. Good value for lunch. Good lemon rice soup, Greek salad, veggie omelette(my go to favorites). Wait staff very friendly and super fast… I swear they run around that joint!

Wow for a Friday lunch rush, this place beat the band. I was pleasantly surprised how fast people were coming in and out to be seated even with a line almost to the door. They decided to order a Greek salad with gyro meat, and my buddy ordered a sandwich with a side salad. I was shocked with the amount of business taking place that our meals came out in full perfectly prepared in about 7 minutes. The meals were excellent the service was superb and we topped it off with some apple pie ala mode which was very very good. You’re in a hurry for a quick lunch and want some really good food at good prices this is the place to go give it a try you like it.

The owner deserves a day off now and then, but shouldn’t leave his business in this middle aged woman’s nasty watch. My husband and I have been here many times and have never been treated so rudely! She saw us walking in and turned away from us and threw a specials menu on a table. Was not sure if this was meant for us or not. I requested a table by the window and after mumbling inappropriate nastiness our way, threw 2 more specials menus on the table. The table was not clean, which she was well aware of but did not wipe it off. She obviously was having a bad day and felt the need the voice this to other customers, complaining that she was working a 12 hr. shift. I have worked many of these myself and have never treated people so poorly. On a positive note, the young waiter was very friendly and the food was very good.

I’ve been going to this Kerbys for my whole life and just recently the service has been terrible!!! The food is always great but the service is terrible especially carry out! I ordered carry out from there today and I walked in and stood at the carry out spot and three servers looked at me and looked away they were too busy having conversations between each other and eventually someone came and my food in the bag was tipped over and poorly packaged and the carry out girl didn’t offer to help! If it wasn’t for the food I would ever come here! The carry out girl had orange hair and was not very helpful at all

Food is solid. I love how you can mix and match the combos. Staff is good. A little pricey for breakfast, but the big kicker for me is that they don’t have V8 or tomato juice. For those of us who had a «rough» night before breakfast, having these two juices would be a godsend. Food wise, I have no complaints. Get V8 for peeps with hangovers though.

This place is my favorite Koney Island in Troy. It’s VERY clean, staff is super friendly, food comes out hot, fast, and good! Best part is the breakfast specials that they have during the week…$ 3.99. I have not been in for lunch or dinner but I heard they have great soups!

I go here because it’s convenient, but the service is so terrible, I really wish I didn’t have to. The food is solid, otherwise I’d pass.

Good place to eat and I would have given a five star rating but you do not want Olivia as your waitress. She can wreck your dining experience.

I really don’t get whats up with all these coney places all over the Detroit area but its really not that good! Its just typical cheap fast food. Their dogs are plain, zucchini fries are ok, and their chili is pretty gross.

It’s A-Ok coney! This isn’t meant as a bad thing, because it isn’t. My food has always been good here, and so has my service. I haven’t really had better coney island else where, but I have had worse. While it’s just average like all others in what is pretty much a hardcore Michigan only thing(the coney island restaurant that is), i give four stars to this location. I’ve had their omelets, their skillets, the chilli, the soups, the fish sandwich, the chicken finger pita, it goes on and on. I haven’t really had any of the appetizers, but their spinach pie and curly fries are very good. The spinach pie has those layers of flaky filo, and a generous portion of spinach and whatever cheese they use to hold it together resides inside. it’s run very well IMO at least from the customers perspective. I work just across the street, and come in at least every other week during lunch. This is a large coney compared to many others, with a ton of seating. They sit, and turn tables with quickness. Take out can be accessed at its own counter near the kitchen, and through a side door. It’s quiet efficient for traffic flow during lunch rush.

Food was meh, service is good. Only had breakfast there. Lunch is often a different animal at a Koney Island.

Decent food and fast service. They don’t clean the grill enough so burnt food is stuck to yours. They also precook the bacon so it comes to table cold.

Not far from my dad’s house this place is actually fun to go to. We always walk in witht he newspaper, and dad jokes with the friendly waiters and waitresses, and they all humor him, which I really like. While reading the paper, the waitresses always have our coffee fun, and the order is spot on and hot when they serve the food. Which, by the way is really good, I wish we had coney islands in south florida(party stores as well). I am always happy with how clean the place is, and well with the whole palce over all.

My 3 here is a 3 intended to communicate, «This is an A-OK Koney Island, though I wish they didn’t spell ‘Koney’ with a ‘K’» If you’re hungry for a little bit of home-cooked heart attack, Kirby’s is a totally respectable place to get it. Their coney dogs are good and relatively inexpensive, and I think their spinach pie is pretty tasty too – the layers of dough are light and flakey as they should be, and the filling is a warm mixture of spinach and whatever kind of cheese goes into a spinach pie. You can get two coney dogs and a spinach pie(more than enough to fill me) for about $ 7.30, which is pretty cheap, especially if you order take-out(which you should), as you won’t have to pay tip and won’t be stuck in a room full of lunching suits. Come lunch hour, this place gets packed, because it’s nestled right in the heart of Troy’s corporate district and is immediately off of I-75 and Crooks, two major byways. I can’t imagine waiting in line to order not-particularly-Greek food decorated with Greek themes, which is why I advocate ordering take out. When I ordered over the phone yesterday, they said, «‘See you in five» which I was sure was a mistake – five minutes??? Really? Well, I took a magazine with me and thought I’d take them at their word and, sure enough, my food was bagged and ready by the time I got there(a total trek of about .3 miles). My major gripe about Kirby’s is that their cheese sticks are awful. Yes, sometimes I’m feeling especially nostalgic and I crave a stick of fried, breadcrumb-sheathed mozzarella goodness. My standards aren’t even that high, but I do expect melted cheese inside, and a decent consistency(i.e. the integrity of the stick must be such that said stick does not completely fall apart in my hands before I’ve even taken my first bite out of it). WTF, Kirby’s? Your cheese sticks are from a discount box of discontinued cheese sticks that was found in the back of a forgotten freezer after many years without power – they are totally de-constituted and an embarrassment to all things cheese stick. I wouldn’t wish them on anybody. But your omelets are pretty good, your hot dogs are fine, your Greek salad is totally acceptable, and you have a good spinach pie. I like visiting you once every couple of months or so.

I had never seen a Kerby’s Koney Island before so I decided to try it. It was clean and looked new. The hostess and waitresses were friendly. There was a good selection of things to eat… Pitas, yeros, burgers, dogs, fries, chili fries, chili cheese fries and all kinds of deserts to choose from. The food was fresh and flavorful. There was also a large selection of breakfast items on the menu but I didn’t make it back for breakfast. Maybe next time.
