What a great place! My husband and I stopped in for breakfast. We ordered eggs and home fries. The service was quick and the food was delicious. You must try their home fries. Perfection! We will definitely be back.

This is the best place to get breakfast in Troy. OUTSTANDING separate healthy menu with really great selection. If you like jalapeños, I suggest the fat burner omelette Everything you order is guaranteed to be FRESH. Get a side of fruit. Try the sweet potato home fries. Easter egg: cinnamon raisin toast.

Had tea, eggs, corned beef hash and fruit. Prepared perfect with great portions. Price is a bit above average but appropriate for the quality. I’ll be coming back.

Nice little place… work the wait for a table for 5. Got the healthy bowl with chicken, jalapenos, feta, spinach and egg. Substituted the sweet potato home fries for regular and it was a huge portion. The only gripe was I got no jalapenos in it which I love. Very friendly and helpful staff. Rest of my party was also very hapy with their choices and we all are members of the clean plate club lol I’m so full.

My first time here, had the«Fillup» breakfast(2 eggs, ham, toast, home fries). The eggs were prepared perfectly(I like over-medium, the majority of places I try don’t know how to cook them). White toast & ham were also very good. Unfortunately have to say the home fries were very unappetizing. Huge chunks of potato with the skins on that tasted like they were briefly thrown on the grill. Cold, kind of hard, no flavor — would definitely not recommend them. The café is big, nicely decorated and clean. Service was excellent– the young gentleman waiting on me was very attentive and pleasant. Very reasonably priced. Will return, just not for the home fries.

I read lots of reviews of Infinity Café before going, and they varied from great to horrible. I decided to go expecting great, because many poor reviews are very knee-jerk to a single bad thing that happened. My wife purchased a groupon for three visits where you get like 12 bucks off per visit. Our first visit, before the holidays, was our only visit, and we skipped using the other two groupons. Here’s how it went: We arrived around 1140 for lunch; the restaurant has an open kitchen and was both dim and kinda cold, something I am ok with normally but it was even a bit cold for me. Having the open kitchen showed us a bit more uncleanliness than we hoped for. I mean I know other kitchens are probably not a lot better, but when you can see it from your table then it needs to be presented in a better way. The service for us was friendly and prompt, something other reviews did not agree with. I ordered the Troylet bowl and my wife ordered the Health bowl. My Troylet bowl was delicious; I enjoyed all the corned beef hash, bacon, eggs, and I’m a big ‘mixed up bowl’ fan with dishes like this. My wife’s Health bowl was a major letdown; sweet potato homefries were just pieces of boiled sweet potato, lacking the texture on the outside which would make them true ‘homefries’. Her bowl has an excess of liquid in the bottom, likely from the veggies, which made it hard to eat and somewhat unappetizing. I could tell she was let down by her dish, on paper it read much better than it tasted(and looked). So one star… seems low for one good and one bad dish. The problem for me came about two hours later, and lasted for the next 30 hours. I got sick. Painfully, horribly sick, so much so I took the next day off from work. I ate nothing for dinner that night, nothing for breakfast the next morning, it was brutal. The sickness, my wife’s disappointing dish, the cold, and the dirty kitchen; it was all so bad we couldn’t even bear to use our remaining groupons and I couldn’t bring myself to give them to a friend. I wish it had gone better, but it was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in a while.

I have been to the Infinity Café many times. The staff is always super friendly and the food is delicious. Our favorites are the birthday cake pancakes(which I always end up craving eventually) and the steak and eggs.

Pour service, pour food, just pour all around. You could definitely find a better place to spend your hard earned money at.

Simply they aren’t the best choice in the area. The staff is short and they delayed a lot for preparing simple plates, specially during rush hours(Saturday morning as an example). The second time that I visited the place I ordered eggs with jalapeño and a side of fruit: the jalapeño was whole and the plate had big pieces of garlic, it didn’t taste well at all. I just ate the fruit that was just berries.

Infinity Café indeed. Because that’s how long it seems to take to get underseasoned and overcooked food.

I’ve been wanting to try this place for a while. I am sorry it took so long. We stopped in early on Saturday before the Farmer’s Market. We beat any crowds. It was quiet. The place is inviting. It’s clean. We chose to sit away from the windows at a table. Chairs are comfortable. I ordered the Grand Finale and daughter ordered a Sun Ella Bowl. Food seemed to take a while, which initially surprised me as there was only one other table with people. However, when it did come, I could tell it wasn’t pre-cooked but prepared to order. I chose the Grand Finale because it seemed to give me a sample of things(eggs, bacon, home fries, pancake and french toast). Bacon was exactly the way I like it — crispy! The only way bacon should be! It was a bit of a thicker cut which was nice. The potatoes(I did have onions added) were good. I prefer plain potatoes without seasoning and that was exactly what I got. The eggs were scrambled well, perfect for me. It also came with a slice of french toast(I choose cinnamon raisin) and one pancake. The french toast was excellent. Not too much egg flavor, the cinnamon was just a touch and it only needed a bit of syrup. The pancake, which I saved for last, thankfully, was definitely the highlight of the plate(well, it was actually three plates that my meal came on). I don’t know what they use, but that pancake was buttery and very flavorful. I didn’t get any add-ins(fruit or chocolate chips) and it didn’t need it. Again, only a small amount of syrup here because this was by far one of the best pancakes I’ve ever eaten. Daughter had the Sun Ella Bowl. She didn’t finish it, which is an indication that something might be wrong. It was a rather large portion and had a nice mix of flavors: 3 egg whites, sweet potato homefries, grilled chicken, spinach, jalapenos & feta cheese. She said the chicken spice was strong, but overall she enjoyed it. She insisted it was good. Sweet potatoes were flavorful and cooked just right. She also had a large chocolate milk and that might have contributed to her being full. Service was very friendly. The prices very reasonable. I would recommend it highly and will also return. These small, independently owned places are one of the things i love about Troy. I would recommend trying them before the Farmer’s Market. We parked by Dinosaur BBQ and walked through the market as they were setting up. After breakfast I was able to walk off some of that large breakfast taking our stroll back through the market where we inevitably bought lots of beautiful things.

I need to update my star rating because although the turkey club I was served was horrible and although I was given a hard time about paying for my food with a card even though their website and their door doesn’t specify card limits, my horrible sandwich came with tasty hand cut fries. The fries were delicious and the portion of fries was generous.

Come here quite a bit and will continue to. The food is good although I sometimes some of the meat stuff a bit too salty sometimes. I like the fact that their blueberry pancakes have real fresh berries in them. They have good breakfasts with out meat, and they have very nice healthier selections that utilize more egg whites, sweet potato, etc… Mostly I like the service which has been friendly and quick. That is what people need in the AM. The décor is pleasant and it the retrofitted building is clean and the furniture is custom and comfortable. I wish they had better section of teas. I have been to this place about 10 times and they have always been consistent and that means a lot to me.

Okay given this place a second chance, and it was even more disappointing. I order 2 eggs scrambled, home fries and wheat toast. My companion order two eggs Sunnyside up, home fries and rye toast with a side of hash. Our order took way longer then it should, understand that it was busy but there was three cooks at the grill, when the orders finally came out they put the hash on my plate, the waiter was very apologetic, he stated he put it in very specific, that was again minor. What brings me to the 2 star rating and my disappointment is the eggs where ice cold and the home fries were cold, dried out and over cooked. I’m kinda of tired of these pop up restaurants that have a great ideal and good staff but terrible cooks.

So excited to go back again and try some more greatness. We stopped in for a late breakfast on the morning after their Mother’s Day buffet which was an apparently an amazing success leaving a few menu items unavailable. All I really NEED to say is if you’re within a mile radius while they are serving the corn beef hash. Go get some. Good lord. So incredible. Great service and staff, awesome joint in a beautiful section of town Be sure to check it out.

I have been here twice, and really enjoyed it both times. The food is all homemade, and original. They have sweet potato home fries, which are very good, and also not greasy like regular home fries. They feature a selection of breakfast bowls, which are packed with ingredients like spinach, eggs(or egg whites) ham, chicken etc. The service is always friendly and attentive, and the chefs, servers, etc. check on you routinely to make sure you like everything. I enjoy this place because it is not your typical area diner/breakfast joint with the same old breakfast items and greasy food. While they have the traditional items, they also have a large variety of unique selections that you won’t find in other breakfast spots. This place is worth the trip to Troy.

Just a short walk from where we were staying in Downtown Troy, we trudged through some snow and 2 °F temps to get to the tasty coffee and breakfast fare here. I absolutely compromised my savory breakfast tendencies to enjoy the cinnamon raisin bread french toast, three thick slices of perfectly moist bread and opted for a side of the corned beef hash. The breakfast choices here are pretty standard, but done well, so I’m sure there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Service was quick and personable, this spot feels like they’re doing their best to be a neighborhood spot and it shows. We’ll definitely stop in the next time we visit Troy.

I have been here for breakfast and now back for lunch on Old San Juan Wednesday. Let me start with — I am Puerto Rican and travel there often. This being said, the Puerto Rican preparations were DELICIOUS! For appetizer: platanos con mojo(fried plantains with a garlic/olive oil dip) and one beef empanada(fried beef turnover) — both excellent and very fresh. My friend had the lechon con arroz amarillo y habichuelas(roasted pork with yellow rice and stewed kidney beans) and I had mofongo de pollo con ensalada(look it up — too complex to explain) — both entrees were PHENOMENAL! I love this place — it is family owned and operated and just has a homey, welcoming feeling from the moment you walk in. This is a rare find — authentic Puerto Rican food in upstate NY! Love it and will return until I have tried everything on the menu.

Infinity Café opened their doors to the public at their new location at 172 River Street in Troy for the first time today. Since it is just across the street from our photo studio, Brenda and I went over to check out their breakfast fare and look around. It was a «wow» moment for us! Owners Ashlee and Matt Dame obviously have a keen eye for details, and it shows in everything from the furnishing(custom stitched banquettes, chairs with their logo cut into the back, artistically hand-painted table tops, and all décor brightly but tastefully color-coordinated. A promising start, even before you get to the food! The coffee was literally perfect. Matt tells us he personally selected the coffee blend, and I believe him. It was sophisticatedly flavorful, and brewed to perfection. The theme continued to breakfast — I ordered«The Fill-Up,» which is basic fare with two-eggs, toast, home-fries and your choice of home fries, bacon or sausage, and everything was exactly how I ordered it. Tempting as it was to sample pancakes and french toast, my current weight-loss effort has them on the forbidden list, so I’ll have to wait until some other time to check those diner staples out. It would be a mistake to assume that they only offer simple diner fare. In addition to the standard breakfast items, then have a whole section of the menu dedicated to healthy breakfasts. I can’t wait to go back and check out their lunch and dinner selections — they have a wide range of burgers, wraps, salads and grilled sandwiches, and owner Matt appears to be particularly proud of his handcrafted soups. The menu says they will also be offering daily soups and specials. And best of all, if you get a hankering for munchies like chicken wings, fried dough balls, and homemade mozz logs, they’re there for the taking! Service was great, the view out the huge windows looking out on the street was charming, and the open kitchen means you can watch your meal come together — something I have always enjoyed. All in all, a very promising start for a café that aspires to offer tasty and fresh, thoughtfully prepared food in a comfortable atmosphere. If you’re looking for a great meal or a nice place to chat with a friend or two, you need to check out this latest addition to Troy’s roster of cafes soon!
