This is consistently the best DMV I’ve ever been to. The staff is pleasant and knowledgeable. They actually try to help by telling you the right forms and what they mean. Surprisingly great experience.

I’ll take off a star for terrible parking but otherwise this is the best DMV that I’ve been too.
Quick easy lines, fast service and people who don’t HATE their jobs and are friendly and helpful. What more can you ask for?

DMV is always an abyss of despair. The DMV in Troy is no exception. I lucked out and got there just before a line of 20+ people formed going out the door.
Parking is terrible. I parked downtown and walked (in the rain).
There is a queue that forms single file, but people were darting all over the place and were going «In Through The Out Door».
I got a fairly friendly DMV staff person to process my request for my driving abstract.
My entire adventure took over 20 minutes.
