I wish I could give this business 0 stars. We requested a bid to mow our lawn. Blake came to our house, looked our lawn over, and gave us one, which we accepted. The arrangement was for Cutting Edge to come every other week, with the intent that we would ask them to come every week if the first job was done well. On the first visit to our house, Blake left a half-finished job(and a poor one at that), along with a nasty note indicating that they were essentially firing us as customers because the job was too hard! When I called to get an explanation, he was beyond rude — he was downright confrontational and combative. He told me that our backyard should have been mowed two weeks ago and that«a grown adult should know that», in spite of the fact that our entire lawn was mowed 6 days prior. When I told him he was being quite rude, his retort was«I think it’s rude of you to expect a lawn service to mow your lawn for $XX!!» Save your money, save the hassle, go anywhere else. UPDATE: After leaving a comment similar to the one above on Cutting Edge’s Facebook page, my comment was deleted and Blake called and left the following voicemail for me: «Hi Jennifer, I saw your rude and incorrect post. Uh, that’s fine, you know, if you want to do defamation and slander that’s no problem, I have a lawyer. Umm, I just want to let you know your job was uncomplete(sic), you know, it was because when we got to the back yard your stuff was ten inches tall, which we couldn’t complete the work. We had no signed contract, therefore I don’t see that I did anything wrong to tell you the truth. You have a nice day, ma’am.» UPDATE2: One of Blake’s relatives, Brooke(who left a positive review here) is now sending me private messages about my review. The moral of the story here is, if you do business with Cutting Edge Lawn Care and they are rude to you, don’t leave an honest review about their rudeness unless you want to end up getting stalked by the owner’s family.
