Medical Center of Trinity

On June 11, 2016. We arrived at approx 10:30 — 11:00am. I had a severe migraine for the second day. I was vomiting and could not even keep water down. The pain was excruciating, so my husband took me to the Medical Center of Trinity ER. I was greeted by A very nice gentleman that assisted me with the touch screen so that I could sign in. My husband was parking the car.
Very quickly I was called up to the desk to speak to the gentlemen behind the counter to give him more details as to why I was there. I think he could see that I was in very bad pain and got me a room very quickly.
A very sweet professional young nurse came in to give me my IVs. I believe her name was Amanda. She is very pretty, petite thin with dark hair. She checked on me several times to see how I was doing and was very very helpful.
Also the doctor that came in to see me was wonderful as well, Nassar Ramy. He had genuine concern for how I was feeling and I very much appreciated that.
I would highly recommend anyone that needs to be seen at the ER to come to The Medical Center of Trinity. The staff are professional and kind. Also The facility itself was very clean.

Had my gall bladder surgery here. The staff was friendly, helpful and efficient besides very clean and careful. I’ll use this facility again.
My son really liked the cafeteria & coffee facilities. This is important for those who must wait while loved ones are having procedures done. I highly recommend this medical center. It is a class act.

Not so much medical attention but unreal organization and class In sponsoring a charity car show in the hospital parking lot. A class act in staff, cafeteria and the staff was at every corner to help and direct. Had a great time at the show and appreciated the hospital staffs attention to detail.

My ear was lacerated and I needed a plastic surgeon. My husband drove me to Medical Center of Trinity ER at 11 AM. We asked if plastic surgeon is available and if not then we’ll drive to another hospital. (There’s time limit to avoid complications and infections) Trinity made me wait saying the surgeon will be coming soon. Hours passing by, we asked where’s the surgeon and they tell me that the surgeon is at their affiliated Medical Center of Bayonet Point. We were going to drive there but Trinity said I have to take their Emergency Rescue transportation which I paid $ 726.00 and I end up waiting 2 hours for it to arrive.
4 PM we’re at Bayonet Point and I was told surgeon is not ready yet. While waiting, my husband takes picture of my ear and texts to other doctors we know to get their advice. Their advice was get it sewn ASAP and maximum within 6 hours is best.
6 PM, we demand to see the surgeon and realized there’s no surgeon. Then they tell me surgeon will be coming in tomorrow morning. Obviously we were furious and demanded!!! Etc… Finally the surgeon came and at 8 PM I had my surgery. I was so exhausted, I wanted to go home. But then, Bayonet said I have to stay overnight. Next day 8 AM my husband came to take me home but they discharged me after 1 PM. More $$$ for them.
WHAT A NIGHTMARE!!!
Month later I’m getting all the bills and I noticed I was billed twice for same, one from Trinity and one from Bayonet Point. I paid all the bills but Trinity bill for $ 2,636.00. I paid their affiliated Medical Center of Bayonet Point since I got treated there. I called to dispute the Trinity bill that they did nothing for me other than aggravate me by wasting 5 hours which resulted with bigger bills I have to pay for. After all, I did pay their sister hospital bill. Then I receive letter saying «there is nothing in my medical report that indicates… «(B.S.) «Your injury required the specialized services of a plastic surgeon which we do not provide.» WHAT? First thing we asked was is there plastic surgeon here, if not we’ll go to another hospital. Then they tell me they won’t take any calls or letters related to this matter and to pay the $ 2,636.00.
5 hours of waiting and they bill me $ 2,636.00
I feel so VICTIMIZED !!!
Can they get away with that?

Went to ER for a problem with my right foot, was treated quickly and kindly by the staff.

Very rude and not helpful when vending machine took my $ 1. Could of asked someone or helped me find a solution.

Patient (Floyd)fell in shower and transportated by Pasco Fire/​Rescue to Trinity. Patient is a 78 year old male with a history of Diabetes, A-​Fib, and had a Contusion on his buttocks from the fall substained in the shower. Male complaining of pain in his backside, and left foot. Patient also has a hard time breathing and had spent time at North Bay Hospital for 4 days for Pneumonia 3 weeks ago which also was told to the Male RN and Male Doctor who was treating Patient. There were blood test, an X-​ray of chest, left foot, back, and hip. I (his wife) was told by the Male nurse, the male doctor said Floyd (Patient) had pneumonia and was going to be admitted for the pneumonia so I left the hospital. At 1:00 am, I received a call from someone from the hospital who stated Floyd was being released by a different Doctor. «Dr. Jennifer D. Nuss. Floyds discharge papers stated he was diagnosed with «Decubitus Ulcers» on his buttocks (No mention of a diagnosis for a «Contusion») and weakness for «OLD AGE!» Dr. Jennifer Nuss Made no mention in Floyd’s Discharge papers about the Pneumonia I was told about by Floyd’s RN and Other Male Doctor. However, she prescribed Floyd Hydrocodone and a Topical Ointment. Really?

I was in the hospital for ten days! The staff was awesome. The nurses especially were caring, professional and always made sure I knew what they were doing and why as far as medical procedures went. From the wonderful food services workers to the fantastic respiratory staff department, they made a horrid illness more endurable. I just want to tell you about the nice people in hematology, they were fantastic, even on the day they had to come poke me eight times.

Great experience, friendly and attentive staff. had to spend the night and i have very high marks for the nursing staff and all.

Before writing my review I read the reviews other had left for this hospital and I had to double check I was on the right hospital page. My experience with this hospital has been nothing less than satisfactory. The nurse we had, Gladis, on the 2^nd flood has been amazing. The doctors have been thorough with their diagnosis, surgery, and follow up post-​op.

Im here with my 6 year old daughter for right stomach pain. The entrance was fast seen the pa we were sent to get urine when we came back it sat in our room for 2 hours. My son went out to the desk reminding them about it they said ill get it in a minute. I get ers are ers you never know what to expect that there might be someone in more pain but when all staff members are huddling in a corner that’s unprofessional. And jamming out to techno music on the desk computer. I keep hearing the male staff worker saying shutup… Im dating This place is a joke!

I went to the brand new Citrus Park Emergency Room on Saturday, June 20, 2015 around 7:00pm. I had fallen on the concrete and wanted to make sure I had not broken anything. I went there for X-​rays. My nurse (I know her name but did not want to publicily put it on-​line) was just down right B_​_​chy. That is the only word to describe her behavior. Very poor bedside manner. She took her sweet time getting back to me in the room.
I am giving Citrus Park ER one star because the Doctor did her job. The nurse basically told me that the Doctor was not going to see me again after the results of the X-​ray came back, so they could give me my diagnosis. She was very lazy. I did see the Dr. walk by and asked her to come in to go over everything with me. The nurse did not have much empathy for her patients.
Then I had to go back there because there was a mix up with the prescription medicine they gave me. The head nurse (I have her name but again did not want to write it on-​line) could have cared less about me. She was the head charge nurse. She was literally trying to run away from me as I was talking to her. They did not solve my problem or help me at all. She kept saying «that’s all we can do, that’s all we can do.» Her attitude said it all. When she was leaving, I asked for her manager’s name/​number and she barely would walk over to me to hand it to me, she wanted to walk away from me so fast.
Here’s the deal: It’s FREE to be nice! I don’t care if it’s at Walgreen, Walmart, a school, or a hospital. The nurses and staff at the Citrus Park ER, which is owned by Trinity Hospital can be nice to their patients. But they choice not to be. I would never ever go back there again. Definately go to another ER and you can look on the hospitals apps how long the wait is. There is a security guard that was watching a movie on his iPhone when I walked in. No nurses or Triage Nurses at the front desk… they have to call someone out to help people. Very poorly run. I don’t see them staying in business for more than a year.
I AM WRITING THIS ON THE TRINITY MEDICAL CENTER/​EMERGENCY ROOM’S PAGE BECAUSE THEY OWN, OPERATE, AND JUST OPENED THE CITRUS PARK ER. Obviously, from the reviews I just read, this bad attitude that is coming from the staff starts from the top and works its way down. STAY STAY AWAY FROM BOTH PLACES

Maybe my next visit will be better.

I ended up in the ER, and had the rudest nurse you could imagine. His name was Daniel, and while he was «treating» me, he began degrading me on topics such as my socioeconomic status. He couldn’t help but remind me that he was an ER nurse, and that he saves lives for a living, while I didn’t. When I called the supervisor to complain about this behavior, I was told that since no one else had heard it, there was no action to be taken. This type of behavior seems to be encouraged, judging by the other reviews. I’ll go to a further hospital next time.

STAY AWAY! They will cost you thousands!
I have over $ 8,000 of out of network bills because they gave me an out of network anesthesiologist for a 15 minute biopsy and then sent them to an out of network lab.
Numerous people at the hospital’s finance office assured me that everything and everyon would be in-​network so it would be covered by my insurance. They made me pre-​pay all the deductibles and co-​pays.
Within a few weeks, I started getting bills because the Medical Center used out of network providers rather than in-​network.
I have NO RECOURSE!!! I’m responsible for these bills even though I did everything I could to avoid the situation.
Go anywhere but DON’T GO TO TRINITY.

I had to take my girlfriend here on multiple occasions during a short period of time as she had been (and still is) very sick. They were extremely rude, were not thorough, and rushed her out as fast as they could without getting to the bottom of the problem. She had rashes all over her arms and mentioned it to the doctor. He looked at her and said «well I don’t know if that’s what your arms normally look like». What? Then they did a flu swab (just to show they did something) when it clearly wasn’t the flu — and even though we knew it wasn’t the flu, they never provided us with the results. I’m pretty sure they have to do something by law so I guess they did a flu swab when her complaints resembled nothing about the flu. If I could give them 0 stars, I would. I’ll drive further and go elsewhere.

Not a big fan of hospitals in general, but then again, who is? I recently spent a weekend here with a family member in need of urgent care and was overall satisfied with what I observed.
The first thing I noticed was the beauty and size of the medical complex. It’s huge! A car is definitely recommended to get from one end to the other but the facility fortunately has someone driving around in a cart at all times to get you where you need to go.
I’ve been told the facility is fairly new and it shows. One of the nicest /​cleanest hospitals I’ve ever been in. they’re already talking about expanding it by 2 – 3 floors.
As for the care that my family member received, I was very satisfied. The nurses and doctors were very friendly as well as informative. I never felt like I was being left in the dark about any treatment plans that were advised. The only complaint that I did have was that my family member was admitted on a weekend and the periods of time between doctor visits seemed longer than normal. I’ve since been told by friends that «Weekends are the worst time to be admitted» so it may be an issue at hospitals everywhere.
Having said that, I would not hesitate to take anyone with health issues here.

So far I’ve been admitted quickly and given some meds. Hoping to make it to the Unilocal event tonight. Will update this review later. The mental health staff is super sweet.

My experience here was not as negative as the other reviews so far, but there are areas this hospital needs to improve on, mainly communication with family members. My husband had to have major surgery & I was told it would take 3 hours. After 5 hours, with no update, I was concerned and tried to get information and all I got was people telling me they didn’t know anything & to call on some special phone that nobody answered. Completely ridiculous. My husband finally finished his surgery after 7 hours & I had to wait another 2 hours to talk to the doctor. That is really unacceptable.
However, I will say it is a very clean facility (which it should be!), the nurses were great, and I like that all surgery patients get a private room. I do feel they sent my husband home way too early, but he eventually recovered fine at home. This isn’t the worst hospital, but they definitely have a few kinks to work out.
