Very good greasy spoon diner. A real gem with great service and a nice change from fast food. As others have noted, this is not a BBQ place, but a bizarre hamburger/sausage place. The chilli burger was outstanding!

The business name is deceptive: it’s not a real BBQ place! You won’t get ribs, pulled pork, brisket, all that good stuff. All in all, it’s a basic burger joint. Very casual dining.

Do not expect true BBQ. The sauce is not what I would consider BBQ sauce. It is more a hamburger joint.

Awesome hole in the wall. Super convenient from interstate. Frank the owner came by our table and give us samples of new sauces and sausages which was really cool.

Chili burger with fries was excellent. Make sure to get bottle caps with it. Lee’s will stick to your ribs.

Continuing on the road trip, wanting to try something different and NOT fast food, we stumbled upon Lee’s. The food was really good and completely unexpected. Off the beaten path, but definitely popular among locals. Employees were friendly and knew many of the guests that came in by name and even asked how we had found the place. Good hole in the wall to find yourself discovering.

If you can get over the«not a typical BBQ restaurant» mindset this place really offers some tasty and unique choices. It really sends me back to before my time with the décor, history, and friendly home-town style environment. To an outsider(me) it seems to be the town local’s water cooler. The great, more diner like than BBQ dishes will definitely have me coming back. Try their Burgers and fresh fries!

Great place to stop as you drive through Trinidad. Friendly service, good food! Enjoy a piece of Trinidad instead of the fast food chain.

I have eaten at this restaurant many times over the years. Although some items have changed, the GodFather!, they still deliver the same quality of food. I’m partial to the green chili burger.

I was prepared for the no BBQBBQ restaurant when I went in. I ordered the meatball sandwich, my wife got a sausage green chili sandwich. They were both really really good and I wish I was eating one right now.

We went here expecting BBQ and found ½ the menu was burgers. We ordered an Italian sausage sandwich, a Italian roast beef, & a meatball sandwich. We were all very pleased with the meals, but not at all impressed with the fries. Good food we’ll eat again when we’re in Trinidad.

This is a hidden gem. First off all don’t come if your expecting menu choices like pulled pork, brisket, ribs, and the like. Instead, enjoy homemade Italian sauces smothering absolutely delicious homemade sausages meet balls by plate or sandwich. Menu items are plentiful there are lots of choices for the individual or family. Pepsi products, soft serve ice cream, and Awesome strawberry supreme cake. The waitstaff and cooks are personAble and friendly. Eager to please. The restaurant is clean, clean, clean.

Ok, First off, this isn’t a BBQ Joint. the name is from when it first opened in the 1930’s, so don’t go in there expecting BBQ, I would suggest Unilocal change it to a Italian Diner, instead, but I wouldn’t know who, or how to get it changed. Now as for the food, it is actually pretty good. Ordered the Godfather sandwich which was and Italian sausage, with Anaheim Chili peppers, and cheese. along with some red sauce for kicks and grins. The sausage was tasty, not dried out, or bland. Just the right amount of spice. I can’t recommend the Spaghetti, but my friend who I went there with enjoyed it. As for the service, I had no problem with it, the wait staff, were always present, and it didn’t take to long to get a refill for my Ice tea. Looking forward to going back there and trying the Chili-Burger. Decent food, at average prices. Not a 5 star restaurant, definitely a Diner, but I will be back.

I thought this was a BBQ restaurant… There were very few BBQ entrees on the menu, so I went with the BBQ sandwich. It tasted more like Chicken Parm, they had an Italian tomato-based sauce on there! It seems more like an Italian place that does BBQ than visa versa. Don’t go if you’re craving BBQ, go if you love Italian!

Restaurant was dirty, waitress was eating at the counter without washing her hands before delivering orders. The food is just gross and all looks the same. I would like to say I am less hungry, but I don’t know how long I can keep this food down.

This place has no BBQ! A huge disappointment. They waste customers’ time by falsely labeling their restaurant.

We were trying to find a local favorite on our way home to Texas from Colorado… and that we did. Not at all what we expected but good all the same. The small dining room, diner feel, and attached old school drive in made it a fun place from the beginning. The food was good but nothing spectacular. My husband had the French Dip. The meat was good but nothing out of the ordinary. My son got their famed Chili Burger. This was a burger patty covered with chili and French fries. Odd combo but he liked it. I got a bacon cheeseburger. Small patty but tasty. The best part was the atmosphere not the food in my opinion.

Under new ownership. I had gone here about a year ago and it wasn’t even worth writing a review. Now, it is cleaned up and has a good dose of nostalgia. The sauce is unique(never had relish as an ingredient in BBQ sauce before), but still good. With a try if you are passing through.

Don’t let the name fool you. If I remember correctly there was not one plate that contained BBQ. However the food was good.
