Sweet little beach, beautiful at sunrise! Great view of Trinidad Harbor, boats, seals, and sea lions. In the spring is favorited by molting sea lions. It’s often a quiet beach and find yourself alone. If your feeling inspired this is a great place to go for a swim as the waters are typically calm. This is an old village site so be respectful to this land. If you look carefully there’s another trail off the beach so you can actually make a loop.

This little trail starts at the Trinidad Memorial Lighthouse. Great little walk — suited for all ages. The previous reviewer is correct, I too counted 220 steps(one way) to get to the beach. Loveliest at sundown and in the mornings.

Access to Old Home Beach from Memorial Lighthouse. Good family beach walking, protected from the wind with generally small waves. Great views of Camel rock, oyster-catchers, pelicans and harbor seals. Counted the steps on the way up. Totalled to about 220. Nice burn on the way up. A good place to go after a good hefty lunch. Right across from the Trinidad Bay Bed and Breakfast. What a deal!
