This is our default for general auto repairs. We have used them for years and always been satisfied. Look past the«1970’s throwback» appearance of the place, and understand that they are more technically advanced than their décor makes them look. If you want to watch TV and drink free coffee while your car is being repaired, go pay twice as much at the dealer. If you want to drop off a car and get it fixed properly, try these guys. Jason, one of the lead mechanics has access to all the computer specs and equipment for modern vehicles, and Diggger, in the exhaust shop is an artist with welding and exhaust work. We also get state inspections there, and I find them very honest. Rick, the inspector will not pass an unsafe condition, but they are also not using the inspection lane to generate repair business as some other shops seem to do. If you fail inspection, they don’t even offer a quote on the repair unless you press them to do so. Nice, local family place to do business with.

The lady in charge of the uHaul rentals is so unpleasant, I have to muster up the courage to call and inquire about available rentals. #scary

I took my car here to have my exhaust system replaced. I supplied all the necessary parts as well as the proper gaskets. Everything past the header needed to be replaced except my stock catalytic converter. I dropped my car off, and the shop informed me they would call if there were any issues. Easy. When I got the car back, I noticed that every time I came to a light I’d have a foul exhaust smell coming in through my vents. This didn’t happen before I took the car in, so I took the car back to have it looked at. The mechanic who worked on the car told me that if I had an exhaust leak that it would be loud and apparent. Knowing that this isn’t true I went and got a second opinion. Upon inspection of my car I noticed that my stock catalytic converter was no longer on the car.(This would attribute to the smell) The mechanic had cut and extended my resonator pipe against my wishes in order to take the converter out. I’ve only learned recently that some shops will do this because catalytic converters can be recycled for cash. I called the shop to question why this was done and I couldn’t get a good answer from him. It was either«I thought that’s what you wanted» or «Well, it’s not throwing any codes since your 02 sensors are pre-Cat» The technician offered to do the repairs correctly, but I felt that he did enough. I declined and will take my car somewhere else. So, if it turns out that my car is the sole reason for any new issues with the ozone layer, I’m sorry. Money doesn’t grow on trees, and next time I’ll take my car to a shop with a solid reputation.

Fix that muffler Fred Sanford! This is one of those places you go to because someone recommended it to you. I’ve had custom exhausts fabricated here for years and the job is always done right. The shop is one bay. The office area is a maze of old pipes, tips, mufflers and Snap On hottie calendars from 1970’s. Dust is an inch thick and the waiting area is… uh …a chair. The guy who cuts, bends and welds your exhaust system has no interest in socializing, listening to how you knocked off your muffler when doing that cool Dukes of Hazard style jump or how bad ass you Dodge Neon is gonna sound with than new Flowmaster. He gets you in, fixes your shit and gets you out. Price is below what you would pay at Midas. Bottom line. When the sparks are flying and you get tired of dragging your Cherry Bomb on the ground, swing by here to get it fixed.
