We left in a hurry. Showered, threw everything in plastic bags and headed to the front desk where the overnight clerk told us he was not surprised before we showed him the pictures of bed bugs. I contacted Price line and was told a refund was at the discretion of the hotel price line did contact the hotel on my behalf and could not contact the manager. I was told to call again the next day. Two days and two convos later, I received an e-mail stating that the hotel manager would not issue a refund because there were no bed bugs in her hotel. I promptly called Joyce and told her about my concerns that the room having bed bugs could have further reaching issues than just an abruptly ended trip for an unsuspecting customer. Mgt. was very polite however in my opinion was negligent in her customer service as she simply stated that«someone had stayed in the room last night and not reported issues» she said she would have housekeeping check. — they already had a report of bed bugs and rented the room the very next/same day!!! Bed bugs hide during the day, of course you wouldn’t see them then! She told me the next time I stay at econolodge come and see her, I can promise you I will never stay there ever again free stay or not! Spend the extra money and head up highway. Awful experience, I am still in pain from the bites.

Needing a cheap place late night after 8 hrs driving I book room thru AAA. Hotel was right off the highway. Upon entering the lot We saw plenty of parked trucks which made me thing that the clientele were drivers. Upon entering lobby we noted dated 80s style furniture but all was clean. At 11:30 pm the night manager had our reservation and checked us in promptly. Our room on second floor was reached using stairs in lobby. Didn’t note if an elevator was available for this 2 story hotel. Hallway rug was worn and again in a dated style. Room doors used electronic keys. Upon entering we encountered the sink again older style marble but clean. Bathroom held toilet and tub. Again dated but clean. Noted updated headboard and flatscreen tv. Older lamps but many available outlets for charging our devices. TV worked great with many channels. 2 queen Beds were comfortable and sheets looked clean and fresh. Shower had plenty of pressure and hot water. Heat and AC both worked well. Complementary breakfast included hot and cold foods including eggs and Belgian waffles and fresh coffee. All in all our one night stay was very comfortable and breakfast was surprisingly good. Great value and service.
