I found a 2003 Cadillac Seville for sale through the Vision Custom Car listing on Ebay. I ended up calling Eric to talk with him about the car and get some additional details about the condition, maintenance and shipping information. He was extremely responsive in answering all my questions and getting back to me about the shipping. He walked me through the work that had been done on the car and that their on-site mechanic had been through it and addressed all major issues related to the operation of the vehicle. Once we settled on a price I mailed them a check and waited for delivery. Delivery did become a major issue for a couple of reasons, the first being that Hurricane Sandy came a few days after I bought the car and understandably stopped all transport. I was not concerned with this and understood the delay. The second issue was when the car did finally arrive it had body damage(scratches and missing trim parts) that were not disclosed. The cost of the body damage not disclosed by Vision Custom Car is $ 3,400. Eric was very responsive once again and said that the damage must have occurred in transit and he would help my file a claim against the carrier as he was the one who hired them. Now the story falls apart. Not only did Eric never again communicate with me, but he never even filed the claim with insurance as he promised he had to me in writing. It has taken me 2 months just to get them to admit that they had been lying to me the entire time about the insurance claim. Now we move onto the non-shipping issues. 1)The car would not start when it arrived from the transporter, I later learned that the battery had 0% charge in it and the battery was not able to take a charge. 2) I took the car to a couple local mechanics and found the following: Dead water pump,(the car died within the 1st20 miles of me driving it) Suspension issues — Struts long past their useful life Dead battery An alternator that could no longer charge because it had been running at full capacity without an operational battery. Both mechanics came back with the recommendation to replace the Valve cover gaskets The cost of these repairs total $ 1500. I will be the first to state that a 10 year old car is not expected to be perfect, but I do expect that the condition of the car would be stated correctly. In the listing from Vision Custom Car this is part of their advertisement«Looks Awesome!!! Fully Serviced! Needs Nothing, Everything works!». This clearly is not the condition of the vehicle and is not representative of the car being sold. Do not buy a car from Vision Custom Car and do not trust Eric Neumann.
