Tir Na Nog

If I had 1 day left to live, I’d hope that I could spend a sunny afternoon in this boozer. The summer breeze, Ronnie and Luke on the jukebox and Frank singing along as he pulls my 2^nd pint without hesitation before I’ve even finished my first. I measure all against this place.

Recently rated the Number One Irish Pub in New Jersey, I made the trek back out to Trenton to partake in some true Irish flair on St. Patrick’s Day. Man, did I make an awesome decision!
The jawn was packed like a can of sardines. The crowd, the vibe, the music, the dancing, the chatter, the pints being poured, the shots of JameO going out, everything was perfect and made being here on St. Patrick’s Day THE place to be.
Owners Todd and Maureen were all over the place smiling and making everyone feel so welcomed all while running a tight ship.
I scored prime real estate and was posted up at the front bar my hours here and was lucky enough to have the pleasure of the cute bartender Wesley I met here over summer pour me my drinks, and politely chat it up with that great smile of his.
But all the folks that made the decision to make the Tir na nOg their spot for St. Patrick’s Day, really made this night what it was and that was one damn good ol Irish time.
The nOg will officially be my St. Patrick’s Day spot from this St. Patty’s day on!

Small and homely Irish pub. Friendly place for drinking and fairly down to earth settings, we missed the live music, which started on a Saturday at 9:00 pm. Will be a revisit definitely

If you want a truly original authentic Irish place down to the lop in the wall, this is the only place I know between philly and Nyc. Small, inexpensive warm and with live music after nine. Awesome service.

It’s been a long time. Since I have been to a irish bar. Other than my local in Belfast N.ireland. I love this place. And what a pint. So come one come all. And enjoy. Can’t wait to come back.

Hit Tir Na Nog at least once a month while a student at Rider and for a few years after when I lived in Ewing. I have travelled the country for business in the nearly 20 years since and it is still the standard which I compare all other bars. You could know nobody and you knew everybody the minute you walked in the door. No airs, exactly what a pub should be. ..

Will always be a favorite spot of mine. Best Guinness on the east coast and some of the best people I’ve ever had the privilege of sharing a pint with.

So, my friends and I were going to the Sun National Center for an event, and they wanted an adventure. (Isn’t there always adventure in Trenton??)
Anyway, we found this quaint Irish pub in the middle of town, and had some beer.
This place could not be more authentic Irish pub, right down to the barkeep with the accent!
Total dive, but great atmosphere. I bet if you grew up around this place, you know everyone. I’d go back!
Please note, I would not exactly recommend going here if you are unfamiliar with the area at night. If you get lost, you can quite easily wind up in a bad section of town. Be safe, and Unilocal on!

A Perfect Pint! good music, good friends. A no frills, no food place to go to relax and enjoy your pint.

I love a good pub. And this is definitely a diamond in the rough. Good place to go and relax and have a pint. No frills.

Extremely narrow, impossible to get a seat when its crowded and bathrooms are gross. However, people are friendly & its fairly cheap.

Three words: Authentic Irish Bar
I wasn’t sure about this place at first, mostly because it was blatantly obvious I was an «outsider.» But as soon as one of the locals bought everyone a round of drinks and we all started joking around, I realized, «This place is pretty cool.»
Will be back again.

This is the best bar in the area. I hate to echo all what is previously said, but I have been searching all over for a place such as this. Its a great change from all the chain restaurants and bars in the area.

This bar is hardcore — the true definition of an Irish bar. The mood and aura changed with the passing of Billy Briggs (RIP). I have some unbelievable memories of my time spent there. I knew I’d love this place when a friend asked for a drink menu and was told their choices were beer and whiskey.

Holy cow this place is authentic. I thought that I had some Irish in me but these folks… the real deal with real musicians and a real Irish juke; have not even gotten to the stuff on the walls… I’m an amateur, vis-​a-​vis the locals here. We went to the «American» Irish place on Monday where our waiter was obviously from the Emerald Isle — after he chastised me about The Pogues being pop music, he told us about this joint. We went the following night and wound up closing out the week (as in seven days) with six straight at Tir Na Nog.
Highly recommended as long as you’re (or can act as though) a good Irish Catholic. Nah, for anyone who appreciates authenticity.

I love this bar, but it was much better when it was dirtier, the gnome was residing on the bar, and Billy was alive.

A favorite spot of mine, laid back grungy bar with dart boards and live music. Can’t get better than this.
Always a good time here.

Great Irish Bar in Trenton, NJ including live Irish music most nights of the week. Darts in the back room. A good time is had by all who go!
