Tantopia Tanning Centers of Mercerville

I will say that the place is very clean, they have good beds and carry quality lotions. The packages are pricey which I don’t mind but I came in looking to get tan for an upcoming trip so I only needed about a month of tanning. Considering that 3 months of the monthly membership Bronze package costs the same as one month unlimited, I figured it was perfect. Not so much. Turns out the bronze grants you access only to the stand up bed with a maximum time capacity of 9 minutes. Just as I was ready to sign on the dotted line I am told that with the Bronze package they will only allow you to go in the bed for a maximum of 5 minutes, what?!? That is insane. They then wanted to charge me an upgrade fee of $ 5 if I actually wanted to use the full 9 minutes… that’s over a dollar a minute! If you need that money then add it in the package price but don’t try to sucker people with your asinine rules to make a few extra bucks. The most annoying part is that I would have happily paid the price including my full time «upgrade fee» if they didn’t try to sneak it in.

I don’t really get a good tan here unless I go in the higher level beds. I’ve been tanning for years so I know how to maintain the best tan, but honestly the lower level bed does nothing.
Staff is great, by the way.
