Beware their menu lies… The large is not the 16″ like their web site and menu states. Ordered a large and was surprised when I picked it up. So right there it started to go wrong. Got home and the pizza was not cut very good. The flavor was just ok, a bit odd but not horrible. They skimp on toppings, hardly any cheese. There wasn’t enough sauce to talk about. The crust had a nice crisp to it, but still a very slight odd flavor. This was my first time trying Del’s and it will be my last time.

This place has been a Trenton Institution for years and rightly so. BEST EVER. I lived in Southern California and came back home to visit. We ordered a pizza from this place and it sure did bring back memories. There pizza is consistent with high quality and great flavor.

I’ve coming here for years and it seems more and more its just dead during the week. Only busy 2 days a week. Went here for dinner and the prices on the check were not the prices on the menu. On top of that on drinks they charge for refills. That was bullshit right there. Food was ok. I felt robbed for what we got. I could have got alot more food at olive garden and felt as ripped off. The waitress was rude. She was never around. My husband and i will not be returning after this.

This is probably the best pizza place in the area! The pizza is awesome, and their breadsticks are amazing!!! The only reason that I give it 4 stars is that it is badly in need of a remodel… don’t let that stop you though, you will love the pizza!

Called in for delivery a couple weeks back. Person on the phone seemed extremely confused at 1st. Food was delivered hot and quick but was definitely down hill from times past. Way way too much sauce on the pizza, and not enough cheese. Green peppers tasted old. The only saving grace was the cheese bread… it was amazing and saved the meal. Not saying I won’t eat here again, but it won’t be my 1st choice.

My mother told me that her father would come to eat here all the time and that the food was supposed to be delicious. The pizza was so-​so. The cook cut a chunk of the crust off because it was apparently burnt. I thought that was strange but went with it. However we also ordered some breadsticks and I literally had to stop eating when I pulled a hair out of my mouth that was baked inside the breadstick. I will never go back there, just thinking about that hair in my mouth makes me shudder and gag.

Dels Pizza is THE best !!
OMG– the Special Deluxe Spaghetti is so wonderful, so good. I want to taste its perfectness more often. NUMMY! It comes with a fresh salad & home made roll knots. My favorite Italian food since 1967! In my home town of Trenton. Sweet memories. Awesome dinner!

If this place were on the other side of town it would be voted best pizza in the Detroit area. It is downriver though, and the trend setters are missing out big time. This is one of the best pizzas you can get. The same family has owned and operated it since at least the early 70s, and maybe before that. Not in the mood for pizza? Try their other authentic Italian specialites. These are really good people serving really good food, and it truly is a hidden gem down on West Jefferson.
