No one will EVER pick up the phone. Their website looks very sketchy, you’d think that they have enough money for a legit looking site, maybe implement a live chat option… you know… something to help us paying customers our.

Read everyone else’s review not only on Unilocal but on BBB and other review websites, you’ll find over 1500 1-​star and negative reviews, and funny you won’t find a single 2-​star anywhere amongst them. I’m shocked given how deplorable they are they don’t even take the tactic to write some fake positive reviews on themselves, that’s how little they care about their reputation. Make sure you not only avoid servicing directly with them but be careful getting involved with other non-​traditional lenders who then sub-​service to Cenlar. You will be locked in and screwed

I have to say this is the most incompetent company I have ever dealt with in my adult life! It is beyond frustrating. It’s also scary this company is handling any sort of money! I have tried to solve an issue with them for 5.5 months, still not solved. I get a different person every time I call in and each one is as incompetent as the next. I’m stuck with this horrid place as they bought the loan from my old mortgage co. Actually, it’s scary that one single company can have lot’s of uncaring, unmotivated employees. Avoid this company at ALL COSTS.

OMG they’re the absolute worst! Only been with them a short time and this is the 2^nd time they’ve applied a «Principal Only» payment as a general payment (clearly whoever is processing the checks is blind or illiterate). So then I have the pleasure of calling them (their customer service is always busy… probably because they SUCK and have so many irate customers… and without asking you a single question will tell you they will have to call you back in 24 hours. Hello… you don’t even know what I’m calling about!), staying on hold indefinitely (I finally hung up after an hour, so no clue how long it would have taken to speak to a person). Mind you, this is after having gone through this entire process last week and finally connecting to a representative who said that she’d correct their error. She didn’t. Big fail. Hate is a strong word, but I HATE Cenlar.

This place is rotten because they don’t care, because they continuously send my boyfriend letters saying that he needs to produce insurance to his home, which he has already. We are on the phone now as a matter of fact, talking about this stupid place. He’s really upset, and I don’t blame him. I think this place should go out of business, and the sooner the better. They want money, but wont get it the dishonest way, which is what they are doing. I would love to cuss and say the F word and other things, but I don’t want this review to be eliminated. But they can go, Fuuuuck themselves!

Cenlar isn’t an absolute nightmare! During the year the had my mortgage I was reduced to tears on numerous occasions. They said they didn’t have evidence of my homeowners insurance and despite me providing proof they purchased coverage for me and hiked my monthly payment by hundreds of dollars it took months to untangle. I was finally able to refinance its been a month and I still have not received the $ 1700 from my escrow account. This is the worst experience I’ve ever had.

I don’t need someone to inform me how an acquisition works (I own my own company and have been acquired before)!!! I need you to find my check. Stop calling me and writing me letters FIND MY CHECK. This goes for NATIONSTAR Mortgage as well. Don’t work with these companies. They cash your check and then can’t find the money. I had a tracking # as well as bank statements!!! Beware

If I get another collection letter from CENLAR, look forward to some friendly calls from my attorney and a series of investigative journalists.
I wonder where you could have gotten the idea that I owe you any money? How did you get my address and contact information? Funnily enough, you seem incapable of producing an account number that’s connected to any financial activity in which I actually participated, so good luck with your quest.
