Georgina’s is so awesome! The sangria and the calamari were just fantastic. Our bar tenders were really friendly, very fast, and super helpful. The ingredients were all very fresh. Would come back again and again!

Food and service was awesome. Waiter was extremely helpful and very knowledgeable on food preparation and tastes. I really don’t think you can go wrong with anything on the menu.

Original Review from July 2015: Hands down one of the best meals I’ve ever eaten. The restaurant was completely booked for the evening, but we were able to quickly grab a seat at the bar. My fiancée had the rice bowl with chicken and I had the Lechon con mojo. Both dishes were so flavorful and everything else that came out of the kitchen looked just as delicious. Highly recommend! Update from June 2016: This place was so memorable, my husband and I just HAD to come back. We made a reservation this time, which is recommended as it’s a semi-small place and is always busy. We each had the same, exact dishes we ordered almost one year ago and they did not disappoint. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone coming to TC. So delicious and unlike most other places.

Nice ambiance, clean, and nice décor. The Lechon con mojo is tasty, Latin taco is bland and beef is dry. Nice Latin music on the background. I would have given 5 star if not from the taco we ordered. Overall, it’s a good place to try.

Great food and service. Sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful weather while we dined. Peanut Thai was sweet and spicy. Our daughter opted for burger instead of spicy, but loved it. Cuban dishes a little sweet but still delicious.

There is always a fine line between too little and too much when it comes to peanut sauce. Georgina’s Peanut Thai was perfectly balanced between flavors, textures, color and crunch. Perfection. The Cerdo Asado was a complex combination of flavors that left me cleaning my plate and wishing I couldn’t get full. The meat if served alone was so flavorful it would have been fantastic as a stand lone but when mixed with the jalapeño cream sauce? I was done. Could.not.stop. The staff was professional, courteous and would rival the class and service of any Chicago restaurant. My deepest compliments to the chef and strongest encouragement to anyone taking the time to read this. GO. GONOW.

Well, what can I say but FANTASTIC! Unique fare, reasonable prices, prompt service, no reservation, in on a whim. I don’t care if you think you don’t like Latin/Cuban food, come in and try this stuff. Worth a try for sure. Wife had a great lasagna dish«Puerto Rican Lasagna». She loved it. Made with plantains instead of noodles. I had a Cuban pork dish, «mojo» was in the name. I added a Latin style hot sauce for a kick. Yep, dive in and enjoy!

Interesting and fun flavors! Glad to see some diversity coming to TC! I not only go here as often as I can, but recommend it when people are looking for something delicious.

Food was really good but the reason I am only giving three stars is bc I ordered tacos and was only able to eat one of them like a taco. The other three fell apart due to only having one soft corn tortilla instead of normally having two. My boyfriend’s plate had two but mine didn’t. I definitely would go back & if I ordered the Around the World taco plate again, I would ask for extra soft corn shells. Very disappointing to eat tacos with silverware.

Great place for Traverse City, for Northern Michigan, or all of Michigan. The Asian dishes like the rice bowl had a a wonderful music z of flavored I have never had before. It had a nice spicy kick, the portion was huge. I had the park with onion In white wine, the that was pretty good, my server recommend it. The beans were a bbq black bean, the best bbq beans I’ve had, they were delicious but not fatty with pork fat. I also git to try the tostada, very good gourmet tostada. This place is a gem for tc, for those looking for something non traditional.

Visited there on my way to Sleeping bear. I ordered a rice bowl with chicken, loved the rice and the veggies. The portion was good enough so i could box some for later.

Wow this place is incredible. Was in town for wine tasting with friends and heard from numerous people that this was the place to eat! I have to say the hype is well deserved. Excellent restaurant menu. Great staff. The meals are so flavorful and interesting. I had the around the world tacos and it was such a fun meal. Each taco tasted like I was visiting a different part of the world. The service was also amazing. Next time I’m in town, I will definitely be stopping by for another meal here.

I went with 5 other folks, we enjoyed ourselves. One had chorizo, 2 had the short ribs, one had the around the world tacos. The concept here is Latin and Asian fusion. The chef has a multi-cultural background which inspired the cuisine. This location expanded from it’s former holr in the wall spot at Front and Wellington, now it’s where Phil’s used to be located. I ordered the Chelsea salad. You can order it with your choice of protein, at varied costs, I choose chicken. The salad had goat cheese, dried cherries or craisins, and avocado. So, it was fantastic, in a word. I didn’t even mind the slighty overcooked chicken, as I prefer not to get sick. My desert was tasty too, tres leches. Now, I had had it before with yellow cake and this place used white cake. I preferred the former, but it was still muy delicioso. Next time I would try the arroz con leche, but it had white chocolate and I was dubious of that stuff. Overall, average to pricey depending on your order, drinks, dessert, etc. But, well done. Gracias.

We had great food and a great dining experience here recently. Our knowledgable waitperson helped us make some excellent lunch choices from the extensive pan-Latin/pan-Asian menu(chicharron with an Asian slaw; duck wontons with plum and mustard sauce;; piccadillo with a runny egg and lechon with mojo. Perhaps best of all: A decadent tres leches cake. The restaurant is hip and fun inside… we just had a very good time.

On our first night in Traverse City we were looking for a good place for dinner, and Georgina’s sounded good. As someone else said, I’m not sure how this place qualifies as «fusion.» There’s Latin on one side of the nenu, Asian on the other, with appetizers and various taco dishes.(Tuesdays are ½ price.) We were here on a Monday, when the Latin dishes are 1⁄3 off. Not ½, but 1⁄3. Mojitos were $ 5 too and those were great! My mom, daughter and I all ordered different things and enjoyed trying each other’s. My mom’s salmon was delicious and I had the Carne Asada with a tomato salsa and it was cooked to perfection. My daughter had some sort of pork tostada and she loved it. Our dishes came with rice and black beans. The beans were sweet, which was a little strange, but I added hot sauce anyway. They fry and bake their plantains, depending on what dish you get, and they have mofongo, which is a Puerto Rican dish that I love. We all enjoyed it and said we would come again.

I ordered the sweet and sour chicken. It was ok except for the fact that the sweet and sour sauce was extremely vinegary and the dish was swimming in it.

Food was delicious. Very out of the ordinary. I’m cuban so I was definitely interested in what kind of food was going to come out of this fusion. We were pleasantly surprised. I had the masitas with boiled yuca. It was delicious. Not what I was used to but thats not a bad thing. The flan was also amazing. Our server was great, very knowledgable and friendly. Had a smile on his face the whole time. If we’re ever in Traverse City again we’ll probably come by.

I’m not sure Georgina’s really qualifies as «fusion.» There’s a huge menu with both Latin and Asian dishes, but it doesn’t seem like they’re mixed or fused or anything. We started with drinks. My sangria was on point. Really delicious. Was there… cinnamon(?) in mine? However it was made, it was excellent. For an appetizer, we got the dumplings(chicken dumplings sauteed in an Asian sauce mix). These were excellent. I was bummed there were only four small ones. I could have had them as a meal if there were more. For my entrée, I went with the ropa vieja(pulled flank steak in a tomato basil red wine reduction, sauteed with caramelized onions, green pepper, and garlic. Served on a bed of rice with beans and plantain). I’ve had ropa vieja before, and this was quite good. I enjoyed the sauce it came with. It’s not really served on a «bed» of anything. The rice and beans and plantain sit on the plate adjacent to the dish. My girlfriend got the Puerto Rican Lasagna(Lasagna made with plantains in place of noodles, a bolognaise with mozzarella, and feta. Topped with Swiss cheese and finished with sour cream. Served with rice, beans, and plantain.) She said it was really rich. She couldn’t finish it, but she enjoyed it. Our server was very friendly. Food came out quickly, thanks to the ordering system that allowed her to put in our food items remotely. I really liked Georgina’s. The food and drinks were good. The menu is *HUGE*, so it’s best to do some recon beforehand. Check out the pictures from other Unilocalers. I’d love to try more items. I would go back to Georgina’s. It’s an expensive night out, but the food and service almost justify the price.

Wow, wow, wow! I don’t think I could say enough good things about this place. The service and food is phenomenal. My boyfriend and I went here on New Years Eve and the waiter was very knowledgable about the menu and helped us make our selections. We ordered a special appetizer — Masita de Cerdo which is the owners special appetizer of fried yucca and pork, so delicious. Then we split the Curry Pineapple Chanco and the Chorizo Con Queso. They were both amazing and super favor full. If I had to pick a favorite it would be the Chorizo Con Queso because of the eggs on top. You also get a ton of food, so we had plenty of leftovers for the next day! We also had a mojito and the sangria — delicious as well and the perfect compliments :)

I can’t say enough about this place. I am a huge foodie who loves trying new things and is rarely persuaded to give up a new experience to try a restaurant twice. But this place was so good I had to go back the next day! The fusion of Asian and Mexican flavored is well balanced and created a lasting and savory delight. Poetic, I know, but this place really is great! I suggest the pork dish, but honestly the staff is so well informed on the menu, they can make a good recommendation based on what you’re looking for without reading the menu.
