When one needs a home inspection, there is very little room for error. No one wants a lemon that comes with a mortgage, people. We had heard good things about Doug Rigan’s operation from folks in the area, so we scheduled with him. He was very efficient in getting back to us, scheduled with the seller of the home, completed the inspection, sent us the detailed report, and we were on our way to the next step. Not one glitch in the process. Absolutely worth the money(prices vary based on type and property size) to know 1. what you are getting into and 2. what the seller should take care of before you close. This guy has a good reputation for a reason and I felt very fortunate to have him as part of «our side.» Knowledge is power and Doug will get you all the knowledge you ever needed to know(and maybe even stuff you don’t) by going through your could-be-home with a fine tooth comb. He’s worked extensively in the area, and knows the intricacies of environmental factors that may plague homes in Northern Michigan, on the water, etc, etc. And now, I have my own little cabin in Suttons Bay, Michigan… and know EXACTLY all the stuff that is wrong with it :)
