Clinch Park is the most popular of Traverse City’s many beaches. Located downtown, it has over 1500 feet of sand along West Grand Traverse Bay. Park includes picnic tables, lounge chairs, lifeguards, marina, rentals for biking, canoeing, kayaking, tubing. It’s close to downtown shops, restaurants and parking. If you are hungry there is a small stand that sells snacks, hamburgers, hotdogs, etc., as you enter the park. I really enjoyed relaxing on the lounge chairs and at the time the weather was perfect. Breeze was nice and cool. Loved the landscaping and art/statues displayed. There is a small playground which children can play. Pets are welcome but must keep them on a leash. There is so much to do here and a great addition to the city. A must visit.
