Boones is our New Years Eve tradition. So, last night was no different. Prior to leaving I read some of the reviews and thought, that we may not have the same experience we have had in the past. Luckily, this was not the case. Our food was excellent as well as the service. We had the spicy ribs, which was a special for the evening, prime rib and lobster combo, and a chicken Ceasar salad. We finished with 2 ice cream drinks. Thank you Boones for not disappointing! We will be back soon and for sure next NYE!

Absolutely delicious! Came up to traverse city for some wine tasting and my dad always raves about there prime rib, so we came to give it a shot. We started out with the escargot and calamari, escargot was absolutely amazing, calamari was ok I have definitely had better. We each had the prime rib and it was by far the most tender piece of meat and largest 8 Oz piece of meat I have ever eaten. I definitely recommend this place, you won’t get a cheap meal but you will definitely enjoy it!

Boone’s was suggested by friends that spend a lot of time in the TC area. We’d attempted to go to another restaurant on the water, but their lack of parking and hour-long wait put us off. Despite a full parking lot, Boone’s was able to seat us immediately. The view and ambiance were not special. The tables and seating actually reminded me of a banquet hall, but it’s obvious that the restaurant accommodates large groups and families. Our server was on point and our meals were good. The perch dinner is massive, don’t even think about ordering one for yourself without needing to take half or more home! Better yet, split it!

A bit pricey… But worth every cent. Always get very good service, regardless of party size. Been there alone, with family, and with a huge party… Never disappointed!

This was my first visit to this restaurant. Our party of two arrived on a Sunday afternoon. There was quite a few customers, however, we were seated quickly. We waited quite a while to get greeted by someone. We noticed a waitress nearby and inquired about our server. It took a few more minutes before our waitress came over to take our drink order. She was pleasant but she seemed to be in a hurry. I ordered a ribeye which came with a baked potato and salad. The salad was great and I really enjoyed the croutons. The baked potato was huge. The steak came the way I ordered it and I took some home because it was too much to eat. I noticed that another waitress were pitching in to clear tables and help bring food even when it was not her table. The only negative aspect of my visit was the lack of our waitress keeping an eye on our table. She never refilled our water during the meal. Overall, the food was great, just the service needs to be improved.

Bones is up north steak at its best! If your expecting a 40 day old Wagu Tomahawk steak then go somewhere else. But if you want a 22oz prime rib cooked to perfection, then look no further. I had the prime rib which was amazing. Served with salad and a side and also fresh horseradish. My wife had the prime rib as well(but a smaller one) and snow crab legs. Very good! We also started out with mushroom caps stuffed with crab meat, delish.

I came here specifically for the crab legs and I was not disappointed. This was one of the only places in the Glen Arbor area I could find that sold crab legs. They were window cut which made it a little easier. The waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable. I left here in pain I was so full but wished I could keep eating. I was impressed with the wine selection, lots of international choices. They have house-made ranch dressing and croutons that were delicious.

Best deal is the filet and perch. The fish is fresh and the meat is cooked to perfection or just the way you like it. We come here every summer!

Had a wonderful dinner out on the deck while listening to awesome music! Our waitress Jen was very attentive and friendly! The perch and prime rib were delicious! What a great way to end our vacation in TC!

Very great laid back atmosphere. The food speaks for itself. We had prime rib and a ribeye steak. Both were cooked to perfection. When in the Traverse City area definitely worth a visit.

I’ve been coming here ever since I was a little kid, and have always been impressed by Boone’s. I went a couple weeks back with my boyfriend. We ordered the stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer — and we were not disappointed. You get about eight stuffed mushrooms and four large slices of garlic bread. The«first courses» were hearty and filling — my caesar salad had the perfect ratio of lettuce, dressing, croutons, and cheese. My boyfriends beef noodle soup could have been a meal in itself! I had ordered the crab legs, and was given a generous portion. My boyfriend had the 12 oz. prime rib and shrimp. Both were delicious! We both ate our whole meals. No room for dessert though. Overall, a really great experience. Great service, great food, not too crowded. Can’t wait to come back again.

Hands down best prime rib in Michigan. I am a traveler and we drive to TC at least twice a year and in ten years have never not gone to boons. Seafood, and salads are also very good. I have never been disappointed. Get there early and try to get a seat next to the fireplace. Wine and beer menu is on par. Order the 22oz prime rib and watch everyone’s eyes follow it to your table. I share it with the kids.

We were a fairly large group, but service was well above par. The portions are generous if not huge. My wife and I split a porterhouse and left very full. Beer menu is good and prices are more than fair. The onion rings were as good as rumored. The décor is somewhat typical of a northern Michigan establishment, and could use an updating.

Came here with my hubby and son. Our server was very nice and informative. Hubby ordered the 18 oz NY strip and I ordered ribs & perch to share with my son. Great homemade bread, good salad and soup. The entrees portions are huge and pretty good quality, but the seasoning was a bit lacking.

Awesome, awesome, awesome! Where do I begin… The setting, we sat outside on the deck which is surrounded by these beautiful tall trees. The lighting was perfect and their was a band playing in corner of the patio. The atmosphere was perfect, not too loud, perfect for families or couples. We were with a large group, 4 adults and 4 kids and everyone was happy. The kids options were great and the prime rib was perfect. I have no complaints and can’t wait for a return trip!

The food is o-kay if you don’t like flavour and quality. I had the 12 oz prime rib with broccoli. The prime rib was done at the correct doneness(I asked for medium rare), but it was lacking flavour. Even a little salt and pepper would have sufficed. The broccoli was good up until the last bite, where it tasted like molded buttered broccoli. The waitress was decent, and pleasant. The atmosphere is very casino crowd(if you’ve been to a casino, you know what that means). Overall – 3 stars. The water tasted delicious.

Love it love it love it. Ok, we live in Colorado and go there once a year while visiting family. The rest of the year, we crave the piña colada. Simply because it’s the best in the world. Why? They put ice cream in it!!! Ok I am done. Food? Good but pricey. Prime rib is a classic but most of the time I just eat perch. Lightly breaded, yummy. But you always go home with some because you have to get some appetizers(mmmm mushrooms…) and that always comes with a salad. Great place to go… But considering the price tag it has to be for a special occasion. Sorry I don’t understand the peeps that go there to drink a beer and eat a burger…

My wife and I decided to go to Boone’s, celebrating our first anniversary. Best idea since we got married. I had the Prime Rib and Perch, my wife the Ribeye. First off, the service was great, and the atmosphere better. Prompt server attention, super fast salad and bread to our table, always checking on us for drinks, great food. The Prime Rib and Perch was masterfully done. I’m not sure I’ve ever had a better meal, perfectly cooked medium rare. The perch may have been the unsung hero, awesome compliment to the prime rib. My wife’s Ribeye was amazing as well, we hardly set our utensils down the food was so great. We will be coming back every year on our anniversary and enjoying this awesome restaurant.

Poor quality food and poor attention to detail given the prices being charged. I asked questions about the food and was told that much of it(if not all of it) is from Gordon’s food service — the same type of food I ate in grade school and high school. So I ordered the burger, thinking to myself«how can a burger get screwed up». The medium burger I ordered came to me well-done in most parts and slightly raw in others. The ketchup bottle had dirt on it and the mustard bottle looked just as questionable. The lettuce was wilted, the pickle seemed old(and/or dry) and the bun was allegedly toasted … On one side … The best part of the burger was the red onion(though the menu didn’t say it was red onion), just as soon as I peeled away to sad-looking outer and inner layers. The fries that came with it were unseasoned and either undercooked or barely cooked. Best of all, I had a nice view of the dumpster and overflowing trash. The rest of the décor seemed dirty, the napkins were either new or worn. I will never be returning.

I really, really wanted to love this place. The restaurant is huge, so while the parking lot was packed we didn’t wait at all before getting a table. The service from our waitress was really great. The thing I liked best about my meal here was the croutons on my salad. They were obviously homemade: golden brown and crispy with just enough flavor on their own. The ranch dressing and homemade bread(the main ingredient of those homemade croutons) aren’t too bad, either. Everything else was just okay. I had the perch which wasn’t as fabulous as Unilocalers and our server made it out to be. My husband was impressed with the tenderness of the ribs but not the flavor. My sister’s prime rib tasted fine but could have been warmer. Not to mention the uncomfortable banquet chairs and the cheap-looking fitted vinyl table coverings! Everything would have been acceptable if the prices were two-thirds as much. But for the prices they charge, everything should have been pretty much perfect. I’m glad we tried it out, though, if only for those magical croutons.
