We booked The Beach Condos with 4 other families. We had high expectations considering the price per night. And we were treated so badly that we will NEVER stay there again. We are frequent travelers with extremely polite and well behaved kids that are never left unsupervised. Our experience began with our check in at which point my friend was told her room had been switched to another floor away from us. They claimed an email was sent to explain this prior to our arrival but as untrue. When my friend entered her room(324) she was shocked at the condition the condo was left in. There was a very foul smell that lingered and huge stains all over the outdated carpet. The appliances weren’t fully functioning and the furniture was beyond outdated. The assistant manager, Chelsea, was nice and tried to appease my friend by getting her another room that was in better condition. After dealing with the manager«Pat» upon our departure, we all agreed that Chelsea should be managing the facility instead of the grouch. She was very pleasant and helpful in resolving any issues that we encountered. I don’t understand how an unapproachable, unreasonable, and rude person could be the«manager» of a family resort. He left us with such a bad feelings that I wish I could contact the owners of the condos and explain how he treats their renters. There is a small pool with a bathroom 5 feet away but not meant for guests. That was a bit troubling when your kids have to go up three floors to use a bathroom throughout the day. The rooms were decent in space and fairly clean. We were checking out and trying to rebook the remaining three families for the following year when we were verbally attacked by Pat, the manager. We had agreed to rebook based on the location, room size and the heated pool which our kids enjoyed. He had the nerve to say that there were complaints made about children behaving badly and that the kids were part of a big group staying together at the condos. He said he wasn’t sure if it was our kids or kids from another large group but he wasn’t in any position to allow future reservations. To say that we were caught off guard and offended at the absurdity of his words is an understatement. When I asked what the kids did to deserve this backlash, he said that they were loud in the pool and went from one room to the room next door to see their cousins. I wasn’t aware that children should be silent when playing in a family resort pool. He continued with more silly reasons why our always supervised and well mannered kids weren’t welcome back. After I explained to him how wrong he was about our group, he paused and said if he allowed us back it would be under the condition that we sign a contract made by him depicting how our kids would behave while at the resort. Talk about shocking and incredibly rude! My sister then asked him to refund the $ 200 his assistant charged her card as a deposit for next year. He had the audacity to say that according to his computer no such charge occurred. It was very shady that his computer didn’t show the charge that Chelsea processed. She was so shocked that she tried showing him the email which proved otherwise but he refused to read it and blamed his«new» hire for the error. He refused to credit her even when her husband went in to show the American Express charge that had already posted. I don’t understand why he wouldn’t credit her money when he was the reason the charge no longer had meaning. Now she has to dispute the charge because of a stubborn and angry old man. It was apparent to us that he’s the wrong person to have as the face of management considering his lack of interest in good customer service. I HIGHLY recommend they find a more personable manager that likes kids and doesn’t run anyone under the age of 70 away. Upon our exit I asked Chelsea if our children behaved in any way deserving of his hurtful comments and she said NO and that she would later explain to him how wrong he had it about us. Why would you not ask your assistant manger about our group when she was the one interacting with us daily. It seemed she was intimidated by him and warned not to defend us or the charges that were made days prior. If you have children and he’s still managing, please take my advice and stay elsewhere where kids are welcome.

We booked two rooms to share with friends who were celebrating their 15th wedding anniversary. We have stayed here many times in the past and have always had an enjoyable experience.(Thank you, owners of room 324.) This time was VERY disappointing! Our friends’ room,(325), was VERY outdated. Old carpeting, rusty air vents, old furniture, beat up tables and a pink countertop. Our room,(329), was updated and nicely appointed, but we had NO Dish TV service for the first 24 hours as our box was defective, as we later discovered. We also opened a hall closet to find it unusable as the bedroom closet door was being store in there. We were very embarrassed as we had taken the lead on booking from past visits. Our friends had a nice view but a terrible room. The staff did all they could to fix our issues with the Dish service the second day, but offered no compensation for our trouble. We probably won’t return as there are many choices in the area.
