BATA = Bay Area Transit Authority. They have small buses and larger(school) buses that are in their signature green and white. This location is their main hub with buses going out to the Sleeping Bear Dunes and up to Suttons Bay. The smaller buses can hold 3 bikes in the front. The larger buses fit 3 bikes out front and then room for 6 more bikes inside the back of the bus. The bus costs $ 3 one-way. You mostly get tourist(like myself) that bring their bike on the bus and then take a trial back into Traverse City. We took the bus that only took around 40minutes to get up to Suttons Bay and then biked back on the Tart Lelanau trial. It is a very convenient service and highly recommend checking it out.
