I LOVE this Book Store. Whenever I have called to ask if a book is in stock the employees are kind, helpful and have great people skills, and when I just stop in and ask about a book the clerk will take me right to it… I APPRECIATE that kind of Service !!! Keep up the great work :)))))

My camp bestie and I went here to while away some off time. We both got coloring books, great minds think alike. We were both amused and terrified by the people skills of our cashier, Tyler. Wow. Just such a difference from us introverts.

Memorieeeeeees. Well, sort of. This is the former location of Borders in Traverse City, wherein I first polished my skills as a budding barrista. I worked in the café. It was the best of times, I assure you. Until they mandated that I wear a hat, and then it was all over. I don’t do hats. But, I do do coffee while getting my nails done — and needed a latte to ensure that I could fully enjoy my pedicure at LA Nails(in the same center). I hoped upon hope that when BAM! had taken over Borders that they’d preserved the café, and that they did. In fact — this entire store is basically the same layout, with the same stuff as the old Borders. Cheers to that. My coffee was pretty darn good, 4-stars for sure. Pro-tip: this place has nice, clean bathrooms that are accessible easily(and publicly) from the side entrance, where the café is. And there you have it – my small jaunt down memory lane. The smell of a fresh espresso bag still brings me back to an 18-year old Colleen C in flared jeans and an apron.
