My family and I love this place!!! Friendly staff, fair prices, and quality gelato! We are rally happy to have a desert shop so close to home. It’s a family favorite! Everyone loves it! My favorite flavor is lemon cookie! Kids love the Italian ice!

This place is a nice place to go for a treat! They also have a red bull drink blended with Italian ice, it’s yummy! I haven’t tried the actual al dough yet, but my husband said its amazing! If you’re looking for a nice sweet treat, this is definitely the place to come!

When to the Aldo’s again tonight met the owner Mike, what a great guy. Gave us the story on how he started the business… What a great way to retire. Mike gave us numerous samples to try everyone of them where great. He make the recipes himself. Will be back for sure. Enjoy!!!

Delicious but a bit too pricey to be our regular family ice cream place. My family has spent 70 bucks in 2 weeks. It’s expensive especially for the custards. I’ve spent less on similar quality product from places in Marin county. I love the product though and I feel comfortable with the satisfaction of a clean establishment. Staff is absolutely great. Lighting is a bit bright and the parking is a hassle sometimes. If it was less expensive, my family would go more often.

I’ve been going here since it opened, and I gotta say, it’s great. Customer service is extremely nice and awesome. If you’re missing those Dole Whips from Disneyland, they got them here and now available dole whip floats!!! If you’ve ever had Joe’s Italian Ice in SoCal, they also got them here! One of the best things I’ve tried this time was a little mix of both Joe’s & Disneyland. I got an Aldolatti with the Dole Whip custard + Strawberry Ice. Yes! Definitely a great place for the summer.

Finally, a place where I can satisfy my gelato cravings! This place is fairly new and a cute place to try out. It’s clean inside and there are spots to sit if you’d like to enjoy your treats inside. They seem to regularly rotate their selections, so that’s something I really liked about Aldo’s. I’ve sampled a few of their flavors, and all were delicious. They also taste fresh and the service is quick.

This is another business I am glad to have in town! Fresh house made Gelato? Yes please! Aldo’s is a unique addition to Tracy as there are no other gelato places around. It’s a breath of fresh air when for so long there were only ice cream and frozen yogurt shoppes in town. I’ve been quite lucky when I visit because I have never had to experience a crowd here. Don’t get me wrong, it does get crowded, I just try to avoid it as much as possible. Each time I have visited the dining room has been very clean and everything behind the counter appears orderly. The staff is very knowledgable of their product, friendly and patient. Today I FINALLY went for an Al-Dough. What was I waiting for all this time? Its SOGOOD! What is an Al-Dough you might ask? The gelato of your choice is mixed with any topping you choose and placed inside a soft warm donut that is sealed and sprinkled with powdered sugar. Did I mention it is SOGOOD?! It’s also pretty big and definitely a shareable size — if you really want to share. ;) They seem to rotate their flavors often so that there is always something new to try. They have also expanded their menu to drinks and other creative items which is awesome. I can definitely see Aldo’s thriving in our community and I look forward to having Aldo’s around for years to come.

Four words, ICECREAMIN A DONUT! I got an Al-dough with cookie ice cream and topped with Reece’s candy. Hub got an Al-dough with espresso ice cream and Nutella topping. Little one got a cone with cooking ice cream as well. We were pleased with our treats! We will be coming back. I def. recommend this place. New and only place that sells ice cream this way. For the al-dough, which is dough filled with your selection closed with another dough. You choose your gelato flavor then toppings. They have plenty. After they have put it together they top it off with powdered sugar. The best part is they sell mangonadas! I will definitely be back for that!

I was sad to find out that Chilaberries was gone, but Aldo is a great replacement for this strip mall. I ordered the al-Dough with Nutella gelato and strawberries. They put those ingredients in a bun, and seal it in a waffle-esque iron. It tasted like a funnel cake especially with the addition of powdered sugar. It can be shared with two people because it’s quite filling. The also have custards and Italian ices. The décor has a diner feel, and it was pretty clean. I will probably come back again when I’m craving ice cream.

cannot give 5 stars because they didn’t have pistachio. Real gelateria’s have pistachio! but the strawberry and coconut almond were good. Fresh and creamy, and the place appears neat and clean, with friendly service — update — I received a quick reply from the owner indicating they typically do have pistachio. We will certainly be by again at some point to try again, hopefully pistachio will be available

Gelato, the Italian word for ice cream derived from the Latin word«gelatus» which means frozen comes in many flavors, colors and textures and the newly opened Aldo’s now offers this frozen treat to the folks in Tracy. I stopped in Aldo’s a few days ago to check out things. I wanted to let some time pass from the time they opened(a few weeks ago) until now so they could work out the bugs and kinks which naturally happen when a new business opens. PROS: It new. From the paint to the outdoor tables and chairs. It’s clean. It not only looks good, it smells of bleach which I tend to interpreted as clean. It’s properly staffed with employees to handle the long lines which always come when anything new opens in Tracy. They offer and have outdoor seating. Their POS(point of sale) machines are modern, borderline state of the art. They except every major credit card. The wafer wedge added to the gelato scoops is a nice touch. CONS: The place smells of bleach. Even-though I take the smell to mean clean, others may not. The outdoor seating on either side of the entry door has potential of bottle-necking or blocking the doors access. The customer line bottlenecks towards the end when you pay. IMO, there’s not enough indoor seating. It’s great to sit outdoors on a nice summer evening but, it will get cold again. Gelato flavors are not posted on a menu that can be read while waiting in line. The flavors are posted on handwritten notes on the Gelato itself. I sampled three gelato flavors(green tea, pistachio and chocolate) before deciding on the single scoop of chocolate(pictured) which I thought tasted the best out of the three. Thoughts for improvement: 1. Posting the Gelato flavors for the day, week or whatever someplace people could see them instead of notes on the Gelato itself. Maybe putting up a dry eraser board to write the menu would help. 2. Maybe create two separate sales lines. One for cash paying customers and one for those using credit or debit cards. I noticed two patrons in front of me had to continue to wait in line to exit even though they already paid with cash. 3. Maybe rearrange the outdoor seating so it’s not in the way of the front doors. It may not be or have been an issue yet but, It will be. IMO, the Gelato here at Aldo’s is average in taste and a bit better than average in consistency. As of today, I’d give Aldo’s a high 3 or low 4 star rating and I think things could and probably will improve in the future to help better the customer service and experience and help improve the ebb & flow of the shop. Gelato comes in hundreds of colors and flavors and even though I believe there are better shops out there selling this creamy goodness, Aldo’s is a nice, clean place to get your Gelato fix within the City of Tracy.

I was in the shopping center because I was picking up Mexican food for dinner. Then I saw this huge group of people by the old frozen yogurt shop. I had realized that the new gelato and Italian shop had opened. I’m not sure what got into me, but I put my dinner in the car and told my daughter that we were going to go check it out. In reality, I was overcome with excitement that the place was open… that I didn’t fully think it through. I SHOULD have gone home, eaten dinner, picked up my twins so we could all go to Aldo’s…at a less busy time. Alas, that did NOT happen, so next time. The line was long-ish…not out the door crazy, but we probably waited a good 10 minutes to be helped. They had a bunch of people working, but I suppose from the different things that they make to people wanting to sample… waiting at a busy time is assumed. My daughter got the medium cherry Italian ice. I got the kid’s sized Oreo gelato. It was really good, my only regret is not getting a bigger one. But I had dinner waiting in the car, so I didn’t want to go too overboard. I think that this is a nice addition to the shopping center. My kids were bummed when the froyo place went out of business, as this is close to our house. Hopefully they can work out the kinks of helping customers in a more efficient manner during their busy times. Other than that, I would recommend this spot for your sweet tooth craving if you’re in the area!

Ok! If we’re not there at least once a week, something is totally wrong. The gelato was delicious and I tried the blue raspberry Italian Ice(actually had to steal a bite from one of the kids) and it was a small taste of heaven! So glad to have something a little different in Tracy. Was getting tired of having to drive over the Altamont for something ‘out of the ordinary’. Very yummy and welcome to Tracy!

LOVETHISPLACE!!! My wife and I ate here last night(they are open until 11PM which was a nice surprise). She had the Al-dough and I snuck a bite(it was incredible). I had the Gelato which was also awesome! This is NOT your usual Yogurt shop that you see everywhere. This place is new and brings something totally different to the plate(pun intended). It is something you really need to try. If you’re into healthier food, try the Italian Ice, we had some samples of it and it is really good as well. It was really busy, but the line moved extremely fast. We WILLDEFINITELYBEBACK!
