So, a year later, and this place still rocks just as much. HOWEVER, I will NEVER return to the Richfield Farm stand there! My girlfriend paid for some peppers, and then, while picking them out, the young ladies working there started talking shit about customers! Right in front of a customer! They talked about how they don’t like coming to Towson because everybody«feels entitled to local food» and how«DC is better because they are super nice to you for bringing them locally grown food». They then went on to refer to people in Towson as «ugly, rude, and mean». Who does that?!

Small and sweet. All the venders were friendly and nice. I have been to a lot of farmer’s markets where there can be attitude, so I am kind of wary when going to new ones. Herbs and plants, great looking produce, lemonade stands, ice cream, pickles, meats. Prices are very reasonable and it’s in a good location. I will be back next Thursday for some new treats!

I found some very nice specialties here, though it can’t compare to all the organic produce at Marin County Farmer’s Markets in Northern California. Still, I’m so grateful to have a Farmer’s Market at all. Great way to meet folks, and spend some time out of doors.

The appropriate size to run in and run out with seasonal fruits, veggies, and other goodness!

I love this farmer’s market and much prefer it to the super huge bustle of the downtown Baltimore one under the 83 overpass. It is small, but has pretty much everything you need if you’re not looking to get an entire meal of breakfast, lunch, and dessert in one place(unless you’d like to frequent the restaurants, so it’s actually pretty convenient).

The Farmer’s Market in Towson, adjacent to the Towson Circle, occurs every Thursday until the middle of November from 11:00am to 2:30pm. Mostly produce farmers with succulent heirloom tomatoes, wax peppers, and onions(red and white) but there is an herb grower and a free-range meats vendor(beef, bison, chicken). I usually go and collect at least two weeks of basil, garlic, dill, summer squash, and berries.
