I have gone through life eating a submarine sandwich called Italian Cold Cut never realizing that one was really eating a glorified ham and cheese on something trying to pass as a roll. That all changed on July 24th on my 56th birthday when I went to get crabs at Conrads and happened to catch a sign for Pastores. The crabs were great but definitely second banana to the loaf of homemade Italian bread stuffed with REAL Italian deli and an olive spread that they use for their muffaleto. I’m embarrassed I hadn’t discovered this local gem sooner but I promised myself they well be a staple from now on. Staff was the best. If they went public I’d buy the stock

This family owned and operated italian deli/food store is simply the best. I’ve been eating food from here since I was 8 yrs old. Everything they offer is good, and when you walk into this place you are promptly taken care of. This place has been open for some time, and if you’ve driven past it, you need to do yourself a favor and go inside. The best meatball and prov. sub I’ve ever had

It is family owned and operated. When you walk in you are met with a smile and a warm welcome. They have many subs, sandwiches, dinners and salads to pick from. My Husband and I both tried what is claimed to be the best Italian Cold Cut sub in Baltimore. I will say that the sub was one of the better I have had in the Baltimore area. We also tried 2 meatballs and Italian sausage in sauce. Both meats were very tasty and not greasy. The sauce was one of the best I have had! For desert we had a cannoli and key lime pie which were both good. The only thing we had we weren’t a fan of was the Chicken Caesar Pasta salad. Texture was fine but no flavor. We said next time we would give another salad a try. They also have a nice selection of Italian groceries and deli meats. So I really suggest to you to stop in and try it out!
