My husband and I lived at Palisades for a little over a year and would definitely have stayed if our commute hadn’t been unmanageable. Pros — BEAUTIFUL apartments. The tall windows, hardwood floors and good quality blinds all added to the charm of the place. I loved watching sunsets through the window in the living room. The staff was very polite and helpful. The location was perfect and we could walk to the mall, restaurants and the library. Cons — Parking. I just wish they kept it simple and took some spots in the parking garage across the street.

This is a great facility and very polite staff, but the paperwork that Southern Mgt makes you complete to do anything is tedious. Paperwork and ID to use the pool, even though you have already filled out the lease. I want to add my wife to the lease; new app, new photos for both of us(where is my old one or the one for the pool!) A letter saying it’s OK, another $ 25 fee for a credit check, even though she is unemployed and they already rented it to me and ran my credit! They only know how to operate in the box, and let me tell you it is a small box!

*Now that i have lived here a month here is an update that is less 2 stars* So in this month we have a few problems: 1. Parking is not awesome. Sure the automated thing is cool at first but when you have to go a mile down the road and have to wait 20 minutes for your car… it is rather annoying. 2. So without naming names, when we moved in we were told people live on non-pet floors and have pets so us staying on a pet floor but with pool view is not an issue. We were honest 6 months ago that I would move in on month 6 with my husband with our two dogs. So whats the issue? 3. Barking– only one apartment has excessive barking, and then the guy went and got another dog. Each time he leaves the pup, it goes crazy. We are all pet owners so we understand what work a new puppy is so we didn’t complain. Alas today, the manager called us to say that our dogs are barking alot, people have complained and we are also in a non-pet approved apartment. EXCUSEME?! And she stated the complaints came from across the hall. Our dogs have shock collars on when we arent home, and majority of the time I am home and they do not bark. I get that it is her job to call and followup on information but really? My suggestion action/resolution: 1. Instead of accusing your tenants, ask them nicely about their dogs.
