A friend had recommended this little noodle place to me so I decided to check it out. I went with another friend for a Saturday lunch and we were seated at a booth. There were several families also in the restaurant at the same time. There is a TON of seating between here and Spice and Dice. I ordered the duck noodle soup with udon noodles. The small bowl was more than filling for one person and left me stuffed. The noodle bowl came with a huge piece of duck(looked like duck thigh/leg meat to me) — it was really delicious and flavorful. It must have been marinated or smoked before being cooked. The rest of the bowl consisted of a slightly sweet(not in a bad way!) and salty broth with bean sprouts and undercooked veggies. It almost seemed as though the veggies were raw and the chef just poured hot broth on top and had it sit for a bit before being served. If anything, the veggies added a little crunch to the meal. The duck definitely made the dish for me! Portions were large, and servers were nice and attentive. There’s a decent amount of parking. I’ll hopefully be dropping by another time for lunch when a noodle craving hits!

This place was great. Solid four stars, for sure! My partner in food crime and I were looking for a new place to eat for the new year and this popped in to my mind — it showed up here, and my the singer in my band mentioned it to me a few weeks ago, I remembered. My singer recommended it, and the 84 reviews that gave this place four stars made us think it was a safe bet. Boy were we right! The décor is cute, though technically we sat in the Spice and Dice area(they are the same places, sorta — they give you a menu from each when you sit down), but does it really matter? The décor was cute, the booth was comfortable, and the whole place was cozy. Service was great, too! We were seated immediately, and there were definitely some other people in there when we arrived. A waiter came and got our drink order and brought them back almost immediately, and then we came back for us to order food a few minutes later. The food arrived in about the amount of time I would have imagined — 15 minutes or so. And boy was it good! I had the teriyaki chicken and rice platter and the chicken was so tender… like pulled chicken done in a crockpot, but obviously cooked recently. The sauce was great and the vegetables with it were crisp but clearly cooked… And the jasmine rice! So many places screw up the jasmine rice and it becomes this soft mush… Not here — it was cooked just right! My partner had the tofu tom-yum, and she ordered udon noodles… This was the only problem with the experience but nothing we cared about — they were out of udon noodles for the day. She got rice noodles instead and said it was all very delicious. The broth was a nice spicy broth that clears both of our sinuses. She said it was great overall. My partner also ordered ginger tea, which she likened to being one of the spiciest things she has ever imbibed other than taking a nibble of some random crazy hot pepper or anything like that. She said it was good and wants to learn to make her own, aa it knocked her sinuses open after feeling down for three days. Oh and if you check-in right now, you get 10% off, so that was awesome. All-in-all, $ 21-something(after the discount) for a Coke, a ginger tea and two entrees. Felt like a steal. Definitely check this place out! Good food, good service, cozy… And a discount available to first time Unilocalers!

So I went to this place based on the reviews. Let me just say, I WASHIGHLYDISAPPOINTED. They didn’t have the steam dumplings, nor the sticky rice. They ran out. The meal itself was horrible, wasn’t seasoned properly. I got two dishes and they were both bad. We couldn’t finish our meals. I wouldn’t recommend.

They combined Noodle Charm with Spice & Dice! I’m sad to see the solo place go. The combined menus are large. Crazy large. Takes a decade to go through. Though it’s nice to have more offerings from both restaurants. 3 stars because I’ve recently moved so typically only get carry out. Their carry out sucks. It’s about 1⁄3 the portion for the same price. The past several times I’ve come home to missing rice and noodles. I get to make rice tonight for my 12 $ entrée. Really great.

We went to Spice and Dice to find that since our last visit they had redecorated and expanded into an adjacent space. They now offer customers a single menu; two cuisines under one roof. Always willing to try something new my SO and I made selections from the Noodle Charm menu. She ordered the pork dumplings and we both ordered the coconut noodle soup, hers with chicken, mine with tofu and a LOT more spice. The food arrived quickly and looked great, however the first bite revealed a myriad of mistakes. The noodles were overcooked and fell apart at the slightest pressure. The broth lacked any depth of flavor. Ingredients that were not described on the menu, and that I did not want, were found in abundance underneath the floating chili flakes. The level of heat was nice, I will grant them that much. In an effort to diagnose what went wrong I sampled the dishes components individually and found some actually tasted really good; the mushrooms especially. Sadly, none of those flavors were present in the broth and as a result the entire dish ate bland. My girlfriend said the dumplings tasted«OK» but were incorrectly made with obvious filling to wrapper ratio issues. They were accompanied by an imbalanced, one-note, dipping sauce. With no faith in the kitchens ability to properly execute a cohesive culinary vision I sent my soup back and asked for the check — no dinner for me. The only positive, aside from my charming dining companion, was the waitress who was kind and professional throughout our entire dining experience; she single-handedly earned them a star.

And in conclusion… I really like this place. Perfect for a healthy lunch. Only downfall for me is that they don’t have any seafood. I’d just like some prawns please.

This place is alright. It is sisters with Spice n’ Dice(they are actually connected) so the menus intertwine. Their soups taste authentic and well-done, but service is extremely slow and to me, it is nothing special. It is a good place to come if you want a good variety of different types of noodles, but I personally was not impressed since I can cook similar tasting foods at home. The Thai iced tea is delicious though. My SO seemed to really enjoy this place.

I’ve been here three times already and the food is outstanding each any every time. They give humongous portions, enough to eat for two days after the fact, and the prices are very economic. The only reason I have to take a away a star is due to the service – it’s pretty slow and you have to keep reminding the waiters to bring your check at the end, but nothing that would keep me from coming back or bringing in new people.

A very solid Southeast Asian noodle place nicely located not too far from the highway, a lovely pitstop on my road trip back from. .. somewhere or other. The service was friendly and efficient, the curry noodles I had were flavorful, a normal sized and affordable portion, and all in all hit the spot. The décor is homey and inviting.

The 48 hr pork shoulder is by far the best dish here. I’m willing to drive all the at from downtown Baltimore JUST for this dish when I get a craving for it. Also…I LOVE the fish ball app. The sauce is flavorful and the fish balls are nicely fried. Love this place!

I’m impressed with Noodle Charm’s concept. It takes noodles from several Asian countries into one menu with a flare of fusion. That being said… good idea, poor execution. Especially if you’ve had authentic noodles from each of the Asian countries represented in Noodle Charm’s menu. It gets you excited, but fails to deliver in flavor, quantity, and noodle texture. Nonetheless, kudos to the picture-booked menu, the excellent service, the above average bubble tea, the excellent Thai iced tea, and their loyal card.

This place is super cute! Has a nice parking lot, too, which is always a relief. Came in for dinner on a Sunday and it was relatively quiet. The server was very courteous and checked in on us, and split the bill without a fuss. Definitely great service for a casual restaurant. I had the duck noodle soup, which was flavorful and tasty. Not hugely gamey tasting, which could be good or bad depending on your preferences. It is a substantial bowl of noodles! You can pick your own noodles for many of the dishes(I went with stick rice noodles) and they bring you some spices and chili oils to add to your meal. I also had a green tea bubble tea, which was just ok. Still, I would recommend it! Nice, relaxed dinner, and hit the spot for my noodle fix.

In my past experiences at Spice and Dice(the restaurant next door to Noodle Charm), I’ve always walked away feeling satisfied and happy with my decision to eat there. Today, while I had a strong craving for the comforting embrace of Asian food, decided I would take a chance and try Noodle Charm. The space itself has the same feel as Spice and Dice next door, but its a little smaller. I arrived for lunch and was unfortunately the only person there, This was unfortunate because Noodle Charm is awesome. As far as service goes; the waitress was super friendly, attentive, and all the things you would expect and want when dining out. Since its freezing out today even though its April, I decided to order the dumpling appetizer and the Soup with Won Tons, Pork, and Egg Noodles. The dumplings were tiny little won ton looking balls of heaven. While they were small, for the price, about 6 came on the plate, and combined with the dipping sauce were really good. The real star was the noodle soup. I ordered the large bowl and was very pleasantly surprised to receive a massive bowl of hot broth, noodles, ground pork, slices of roasted pork, cooked fish, fried fish balls, herbs. and a bunch of other stuff I couldn’t identify because I was too busy eating it. Without adding anything the broth was really aromatic and had a good clean flavor. They offer a complimentary quartet of sauces/seasonings one can add to their noodles and I added fish sauce and chile vinegar, which took my soup to really good to super satisfyingly. It was a a real game changer to an already delicious meal. The only issue was that I was the only person in the restaurant, which makes no sense since its great, so hopefully this changes soon as its totally worth checking out.

We were on our way from NJ to DC and stopped in for dinner. Our server was so friendly, and food came out quickly. My Tom Yum soup with wide rice noodles was delicious(perfectly spicy and well balanced), and the other members of my family really enjoyed their noodle and 48 hour pork dishes as well. However, we weren’t fans of the fried taro and tofu appetizer, and the desserts were disappointing. Nonetheless, it was a wonderful inexpensive(even when I forgot to use the Unilocal discount!) and tasty dinner! ATMOSPHERE: 4⁄5 SERVICE: 5⁄5 FOOD: 4⁄5 VALUE: 4⁄5 OVERALL: 4⁄5

I ordered the veggie lover’s green peanut Bangkok. The sauce was good and savory with the noodles. However, I was hoping for more vegetables and not just carrots, a few pieces of cabbage and cilantro. I also could have did without the tofu as i prefer veggies. The garnish included fresh greens so I ate that. Overall it was ok.

Noodles here are really great! I like how they allow you to choose your type of noodle, your type of soup, and whether or not to have it on the side. All of the soup bases were very good, I had the egg noodles and soba noodles. The broth tasted pretty authentic and the noodles were well cooked. Good place to get some authentic Southeast Asian noodles!

I can’t say enough good things about this place. I’m picky about Thai restaurants because most of them are Americanized crap. Go here, get Kao Soy, be happy. This place is the real deal. It’s consistently amazing every time. Bangkok Peanut is great too!

Cute little place with great service! Great value! Quality food and nice presentation. Ordered thai dumplings, Kao Soy and 48 hour pork. All were awesome and we would order them again. Ginger tea was also super good!

I love this place even with it’s quirkiness. This is our go-to when we just want something casual with good flavors. If you decide to get soup with noodles or one of the rice dishes, you won’t be disappointed. I love their chicken and rice! It doesn’t seem like it would be an amazing dish, but the flavors have me wanting more. The rice is cooked perfectly and the shredded chicken is tender. I’ve dined in the restaurant and had it to go — both times the chicken and rice were delicious and the presentation was lovely. The Tom Yum, Duck Noodle Soup, Bangkok Peanut and Kao Soy were all really tasty. We’ve enjoyed everything from the appetizers to dessert. The service can be a little slow and inconsistent, but the servers are very nice if not just a bit shy. If you have not eaten here, they will bring you the book with pictures of all the dishes and you can flip through the book to help you make a decision. It’s worth the wait!

Let me just say that if you are thinking of going to Spice and Dice next door, don’t doooo it!!! Come here instead. It’s way better and the owners are the same so I’m sure they won’t mind your choice. My sister craves noodles. We had to come here. Noodle Charm has a cute interior design and they offer your personal selection of how you want your noodles done. I like gluten free so opt for the clear rice noodles or rice stick noodles. Stay away from the fat rice noodles, those aren’t so hot. Then you get to pick your soup and I tried the beef bone one– oh my. The beef was tender and so tasty. The soup was great but the best part was that there were veggies on the bottom!!! Things they can improve: — don’t tape the napkins, it tears it up when I tried to pull the tape off(they were trying to use smaller pieces to fold the the new napkin/chopstick combinations so hopefully it’s better) — open the curtains on the window!!! — put a couple big mirrors on the wall to make it feel more open and bright — check on us more often!!! I don’t want to have to ask for everything including putting in the order(and we were the only ones there… I like that we didn’t feel rushed but this was a little over the top) — the mango sticky rice wasn’t as good as before, can you please get the recipe from the other person that infused the rice with jasmine or something and give us slightly larger portions like before? — oh yeah and the music was a little on the loud side Okay thanks, hope you think this is helpful feedback :-) I really love your noodles.
