SOGOODANDAFFORDABLE. The guy was crazy nice, the food came quick, and this is the creamiest sushi I’ve had in a long time. All for $ 9! Definitely coming back again

I stopped by this place the other day on a whim. I was hesitant for the obvious reason — this was a sushi place at Towson Mall in the food court. It had to suck, right? But I saw an older Asian man making the sushi to order so I figured I’d give it a shot. What a surprise! It was fantastic! All together our group got a variety of rolls: salmon/avocado, eel/cucumber, shrimp tempura, tuna, california. It was all delicious. The fish is fresh. No off flavors at all. The rice is flavorful and still a little warm, not like the cold hard rice that one gets in pre-made rolls at the store. Also, a lot of cheaper sushi places(especially the all-you-can-eat buffets) use so much rice in their rolls that you’re basically eating rice with a tiny bit of fish. Not this place. They use a solid amount of fish per roll and have a good rice/fish balance. It was as good as any sushi I’ve had at any of the sit-down sushi restaurants in town. I would go back again today. Price is good too. Most rolls are in the $ 5-$ 6 range. Always such a treat to find great food in unsuspecting places.

You would never believe that this sushi came from the mall! They have this awesome 2 rolls for $ 9 deal that comes with either miso soup or a side salad, so I decided to take them up on it tonight! My favorite thing about my dinner was the portion size. They don’t skimp out on fish or rice at all, so much so that I had trouble getting my chopsticks around each piece! I would’ve liked a little extra kick in the spicy tuna, and spicy mayo costs an extra 50 cents on the side, but it still was pretty tasty. I preferred the shrimp tempura roll, which was stuffed with crispy fried shrimp, thinly sliced cucumber, avocado, and topped with a sweet sauce(possibly eel sauce? Not sure) that made each bite delectable. I would definitely order this again. I’m giving 4 stars only based on the side salad, which was simply lettuce with a tiny bit of shredded carrot and ranch dressing on the side. Nothing special, and I’d probably opt for the miso soup next time. Overall, great experience! Can’t wait to go back.

I can’t believe I am giving mall sushi 5 stars, but it was actually really really good! And I will absolutely order there again next time I am there! So, I came to the mall to do a little shopping during my lunch break and I had to grab actual lunch too… after a walk through the food court absolutely nothing sounded good… I was craving sushi, but do I really want mall sushi? Well, they advertised 2 rolls and soup or salad for $ 9… they had a long list of roll options including salmon avocado rolls, which are my favorite so I figured I would give the place a try. I ordered my previously stated fav and the spicy yellowtail. Both rolls were great! They were not skimpy at all on the fish and the flavor was great and fresh. I also got the miso soup, which was okay, but the tofu was too soft and had a weird texture to me, but the broth was good. Overall they had quick service, it was cheap and the quality was great. The rolls were quite large and the the fish and even the avocado were super fresh! I was stuffed and pleasantly surprised!

This was my second time getting sushi at Towson mall. I ordered the spicy Crab roll and the yellowtail jalapeño roll. The Spicy crab roll wasn’t bad and was enough to fulfill my sushi craving. The yellowtail roll on the other hand, tasted very fishy– just a flavor I’m not accustomed to with yellowtail. I think if you tend to get the cooked rolls or vegetarian rolls here you should be okay, but not sure if I’d recommend ordering any raw rolls here.

We stumbled upon this mini sushi stand during our visit to Towson mall. Let’s be honest, the food court does not have many appetizing options when it comes to «Asian» food; so after a few moments of deciding what to eat, we opted for Lasaka. Lasaka advertises a «2 rolls for 9 bucks» special with a side of salad or soup; and we ordered the spicy salmon and eel roll with a miso soup. The two sushi rolls were okay considering it is «food court sushi», I don’t know what I could’ve expected. But the miso soup was just plain old bad, as you can see in the picture, there is barely any tofu and the broth tasted like water. I can say this experience was quite disappointing and now I know better to not order sushi at a food court.
