What a cool spot! We were the only people in the restaurant, but were made very welcome. Their hummus portion is extremely generous and for Mediterranean at this price, it’s hard to beat

Stopped here for lunch and placed an order to go. It was ready when I got there 20 minutes later and everything tasted great! The chicken was moist and full of flavor, rice was great, hummus flavorful and the perfect consistency. My only wish is that they were closer so I could visit here more often! If ever in the area I want to try the Friday evening buffet. Thank you for a great meal!

I hope the owner reads this, because I want to spend my money here. However, every time I go in an employee is sitting in the outdoor seating area smoking. Strike one. Once inside the place is almost always empty, and the welcome is underwhelming. Not a strike, but not great. The menu is fine and ordering no problem, but service is aloof. At the price point if this restaurant, not a strike. While you sit and wait, don’t look too closely at the dining area — the place is not clean. Just one example: during a recent visit, the electrical conduit along the baseboard was covered in a thick, greasy coating of dust/dirt. Strike two. Then the food comes. Again, underwhelming. The menu contains primarily common Mediterranean/Middle Eastern food — should be fairly easy to produce at a decent quality. Gyros are meh. Tabouleh is dry and dull. Salata is not fresh. Kebabs are okay but nothing special. Dolamades are … odd … kind of congealed on the inside and not flavorful. Bottom line for me: I would happily come here at least twice a month if the food was a bit better, the staff slightly more welcoming and the place cleaner. I live nearby and work nearby. This should be my neighborhood spot. Fingers crossed for improvement.

Awesome, home-cooked meals from the owner who in every way makes you feel at home. When traffic backs up on Burke, I always just turn in and come here just to hang out. There’s also free Wifi.

Delicious! I can’t wait to try their other foods because the falafel gyro was great!

Places an online order through an App — they never called or showed. Over an hour later I called and they said they are closed with no driver. Poor communication.

This was my favorite place to eat when I lived in Towson. Best Mediterranean food in the area, nice mom-and-pop feel, and friendly, attentive staff. The dishes are made to order and cheap(you can get more food than you can eat for under $ 10). Love the free hummus and pita they give you before the meal. Would recommend tabouleh, chicken kebab, and any dish you can get with rice– I don’t know why, but their rice is delicious. The parking lot behind the building is small and can be tricky to pull in and out of. So I usually park in the street(which is free). Would definitely recommend Cedar Café.

Nice middle eastern food, in a very good price. The shawerma is very good specially the lamb/beef one. Also, I liked thier gyro salad, very light and fresh.

Best Mediterranean food in the area. Sooooo good. Tons of options, gluten free and vegetarian. They will even deliver of you are within a few miles. They are a small mom and pop restaurant and very authentic. They are very friendly and they have a Buffet every Friday evening. BANGING!!!

I’m a big fan of this place! Only Lebanese place in Towson that I’ve been able to find, and super college-budget-friendly. I love their spinach pockets, yellow lentil soup, and hummus in particular. The hummus is super creamy and authentic! Only complaint is that it can be a little inconsistent with the food. I’ll order an item one time and it’s delicious, and then the next time not quite as good. But all in all, it’s a great hidden gem for those who want to get their Lebanese fix without going downtown to Byblo’s!

First visit was good. My ratings for the sandwiches I tried [Beef shawerma is 4⁄5 ] [chicken shawerma 3⁄5 ] [Falafel 4/5]. Typical middle eastern restaurant in Maryland. I haven’t found a good tasty shawerma around here, but I think the beef shawerma is almost there. My second visit wasn’t as good, why? Maybe because the person who served me didn’t have an idea that shawerma should be full with toppings, not a pita with only shawerma meat in it! Maybe they used to work in a Subway and wanted me to tell them to put this and that. So, two visits are enough for me but it won’t hurt going there again. Definitely not the best but hey they got good shawerma.

First, I ordered from this place based on the prior reviews, I’ll never order from them again I really just wanted a hot cup of Coffee(I’m in a hospital rehab center), but to get the coffee I also ordered meatballs and a tuna salad sandwich. The delivery came and the driver was gone before I could even look in the bag. I opened the bag and to my surprise NOCOFFEE. I called the restaurant and they apologized and said they would send the driverback. A little while later driver showed up with coffee and again wa. Was gone before I could open open the cup. Opened the cup and I got coffee A HALF A CUP, NOCREAM, NOSUGAR(Even though I specifically asked for it In tne special Iinstructions). Never did eat the food, I gave it away but if they can’t get a c of Coffee right, how good can they be??? When you’re in a service business the top priority is to provide GOOD SERVice!!!

Although its exterior throws you off, it’s still very quaint. Located on the corner in what looks like someone’s house. Enjoyed the outdoor seating and the fruity malt beverages. Had everything I was in the mood for. Tabouli, hummus, grape leaves and falafel. Friendly staff and free wifi. Food was plentiful, yet it’s flavor was a bit short of satisfying. Parking seemed a little scarce also.

Any time I can get falafel at a reasonable price, and don’t have to drive downtown and pay for parking, I’m a fan. We’ve been coming to this place on and off for a over 10 years – every time they reinvent themselves, the word Cedar is maintained. Have there been at least 3 re-awakenings? Not sure. Anyway – same bad location, limited parking, but more professional menus. We ordered falafel sandwiches and grape leaves. We were offered some free hummus and pita chips. I like when hummus is served with a spoonful of olive oil. It was very good – Good job! The falafel sandwiches were served hot and were about a 7 out of ten, as we concurred that they might have been fried a tad too long given their dryness.
The grape leaves were(maybe) from the can, because they were excessively briney(salty), and tasted vaguely of Styrofoam or plastic – maybe the container they were microwaved in? I ordered a baklava sampler to go, asking if they were fresh – yes, said the cashier. Took them home and was disappointed that most of the selection was dry to almost stale. We’ll try it again… hoping to turn that 3 star into a 5!

I really like this place. I love their falafel sandwiches, which are really big and come on a piece of traditional pita bread. I saw another reviewers comment about it being like a tortilla. Traditional pita, what we used to call syrian bread growing up, is thinner than others(not thick like greek pita). If you are looking for a relaxed mom and pop place that makes homestyle middleastern food, as if your neighbor was cooking for you, then this is the place for you. The owners and staff are friendly, personable and helpful. If they get a rush of customers, it is going to take a little while, so give them a break. When I am in a rush I call in my order and it’s there waiting for me when I get there.

I loved my meal. I ordered a greek salad, baba ghanoush and yalonji. The greek salad was huge, all the vegetables tasted fresh and the feta was amazing. It did not taste like store brought feta. Baba ghanoush is a blend of eggplant, tahini, cumin, garlic and lemon juice. It reminded me of garlic hummus, it’s blended really well so you really don’t taste eggplant. The owner recommended it to me and joked that I would come back«begging for more» :). Finally the valonji or as I knew it as dolma(stuffed grape leaves) were great. They were not as tangy as the ones I have had in the past but I really enjoyed them. They are stuffed with seasoned rice and vegetables. I really enjoyed my meal, I was given more than enough food. I had enough leftovers for a full meal. When I explained to the owner that I was vegetarian she suggested different dishes and explained to me what each includes. She was really nice and answered all of my questions. When I sat down I observed how clean the place was. All of the tables are very clean, no food on the tables or counters either. There are a lot of drinks to choose from. Along with desserts and pre made food to go. The employee who brought my food was also very nice and warm. I am definitely going again. If you are a vegetarian there are a ton of things to choose from. The parking lot is small and very tight. That would be my only complaint but its worth it for the food and customer service. I say give it a try, everyone around me seemed to be enjoying there meals. Also the owner is a total sweetheart, she came by to make sure I was enjoying my vegetarian options. She was helpful to all of the customers and very patient.

Tried the Kufta Kebab, served over rice with pita and two sides of your choice. I chose stuffed grape leaves(5) and hummus. Everything was quite delicious! If you’re not familiar, they’re something like highly spiced lamb meatballs. They also have beef, chicken, and lamb kebabs which ARENOT the same as those served on pita. Still looking forward to my first opportunity to try the buffet, Fridays 5 – 8PM.
