Quality education… and great friends.
Could not ask for a better High School than Calvert Hall.
Would send my son there without reservation.

I was traumatized attending this school. Eighteen years later I still suffer from depression, suicidal ideation, addiction and more, partly but not entirely caused by the problems at Calvert Hall.
I had my backpack thrown into the swimming pool because I «ran like a f — — - fa – ot».
Verbal abuse and threats of violence were normal for me because I was different. The priests … almost encouraged this culture. Join the band for protection if you are weird. Wish I had known this gem.
The priest in charge of the computer lab took me back into the priests quarters, to his room to «look at his computer» — the older Asian guy, I don’t know his name or if he still works at The Hall. I don’t think students were supposed to be anywhere near the living quarters. When I got there, there was nothing wrong with his computer that I could see. We made awkward idle chitchat for 10 minutes, then I told him I had to go and left. I told my parents and they made sure no priest ever took me back to his room again.
The racism was extraordinary. I’m not even that old, either, this was late 90s I we’re talking here. Shrug. Do they still make fun of us f*** at Calvert Hall and Loyola?
If you like attending therapy for life, you’ll LOVE Calvert Hall!
The cheese fries were f****** incredible though, so they got an extra star for that.

Great school. I have never seen as school who has parents who are truly involved just as well as the student. This building is always well maintained. Teachers and staff are always willing to be helpful. Although an education here is costly it is truly worth the investment.

I may be biased as all get out and I will say this ahead of time as an Alumnus of the school, Class of 96′. Calvert Hall has such a rich and wonderful tradition in Baltimore area. I can honestly say I brag more about my High School then I do my college loyalties. The teachers are personable and of high caliber, the facilities are some of the best and for the cost of a private education in the mid Atlantic, you are getting an extreme value. I grew up in Harford County and didn’t grow up around the most diverse community and what I experienced in my 4 years there has carried me through to success both personally and professionally that I want my children to experience in the near future.
Not just as a graduate of the school but as a leader of people and someone who has a passion for improving and enriching people’s lives. If you want your son to get started in the right direction before college this is an investment that can never have a value placed on it.
