We brought my father — who was on death’s door — from Washington state to this amazing place. He had suffered for five weeks after two falls. He had extreme pain, a compression fracture in his spine, wounds, 50 lbs of water weight in his legs, and a bunch of other problems. Within 48 hours of arrival at Grace Cottage, he was on the mend. Within two weeks, he was walking, laughing and walking around using new skills he learned with the excellent PT and OT specialists. No more narcotics. Wounds are healed. Pain is gone. My Dad is back! Vermonters do not know how LUCKY they are to have such an amazing set of doctors, nurses and health care specialists. They treat each person as a whole. Their positive attitude is infectious. Doctors and hospital administrators from around the country should be taking field trips here to learn how to improve our health care system.
