Leroy’s Gourmet Subs & Pizza

Nice to have a sandwich place open on a Sunday. Service was quick and friendly. Sadly, this was my first visit and the BLT I ordered was really miserly– some bites there was only a single piece of lettuce between the bread.

Leroy’s is a hometown institution. Their house sauce is a closely guarded secret that is ridiculously delicious and can be bought very cheaply in bottles to go. Order the cosmos (toasted sub, basically) and then drown it in the sauce in the green bottle. I visit annually to eat a cosmos and buy a ton of sauce. Well worth the drive from Florida!

Tried a little bit of everything on the first visit. Wings were very good, had a crispy skin, moist inside and first time trying sweet and sour sauce but oh man it was delicious. Also tried out some breaded mushrooms and onion chips. Mushrooms were ok, the onion chips were very tasty… I think they would be worth trying on a burger. Finally, the subs were pretty good, didn’t know how big the large was so we ended up taking the other half home with us. The steak wasn’t terrible but lacked in flavor. The chicken parm was pretty good.
It was a Sunday when we went during lunch so it was very quiet in there, during the week when I have passed by during lunch the place is packed. The staff seemed very nice and attentive. Will be going back.

Lots of hot and cold sandwiches and pizzas on the menu. Service was quick and sub was great. Nice for a casual quick bite especially if you want a hot sub.

We were driving down from Niagara to New Jersey when my cousin says we need to eat. We will stop at this place for some great eats. Off of the route in Towanda, PA, is this small local place. The cousin says trust me. Steak cosmo sandwiches and hot wings were ordered. The steak sandwich (thinly sliced sirloin with lettuce and tomato) is tasty on its own. What makes this great is the house sauce, which tastes like a mix of italian and caesar dressing. Be generous with the sauce to enhance the taste! The hot wings were juicy and has a lil kick.
The staff is friendly and quick to supply extra napkins and refrills. Great local business and you get a fulfilling meal for a low price.
