Well, I’m not surprised it’s closed. They need to hire better people.

second time I’ve come into this location. First time the lady that helped me was super rude and thought ok whatever maybe she is having a bad day… Come back the next time and same lady helps me. Found out Keyla is the general manager… Would have expected more from a manager… Overall food is ok. I go here because it’s close to work that’s about it.

The past couple of times I’ve been here, the food took forever to come out. Even after placing a phone order, I had to wait in the restaurant for 10 minutes. I’m usually not impatient, but when I am hungry I want my food ASAP. Food isn’t great compared to other locations. For some reason the beef is never hot when served and the teriyaki chicken gets cold as well, turning the sauce into a gelatin-like texture.

I’m reviewing this Yoshinoya based off my past experiences with OTHER Yoshinoya’s. First thing is first — Yoshinoya is a FASTFOOD restaurant. Don’t expect this place to have award-winning beef and chicken bowls. Out of the many Yoshinoya’s I’ve been to, this place had pretty good beef quality. I don’t respect Yoshinoya as a franchise removing their sesame wings, because that was the shit. I docked this location 1 star because the food kind of took forever. I ordered a regular beef bowl and all you have to do is stack already simmering beef on a pillow of rice, shouldn’t take 15 minutes? Maybe they were waiting on a new batch to cook. I’ll continue going to this location over the one on Western and Sepulveda, unless I find a hair in my food. :)

This isn’t my first experience with Yoshinoya but it is a pleasant one. I have noticed that they weigh the rice before loading it with chicken and vegetables.(I normally use drive-thru at Yoshinoya.) The food is very fresh. I particularly liked that the spring rolls weren’t overcooked.

Do not go to this Yoshinoya. They do not have self serve ginger! I have to ask the rude cashier everytime you want some and it’s always in these tiny cups.

Great service! I came for a snack and ordered the 4 Asian wings. It has too much sauce, I really miss the old wing style, but I am giving 5 stars due to speed of service & friendliness.

Food quality is the same as most locations: great fast food for some quick bowls! I usually like to order the beef bowl & wings, but my recent visit, I decided to get gyoza instead! Gyoza was pretty decent for fast food! What I definitely liked was the customer service and cleanliness of the facility! I mean, who would want to eat in at a really disgusting fast food with sticky floors?! I was surprised that they brought my order to me even though I was one of two customers in there!

Buy 1, Get 1 free Chicken bowl! Yay for coupons! Regular chicken bowl is $ 4.49. With the buy one, get one free coupon, one bowl is only $ 2.25! It can’t get better than that :). I was looking for a nearby spot for a quick dinner and while rummaging through the coupons, I get in the mail, I spotted a Yoshinoya flyer with coupons. The last time I got Yoshinoya was when I was in grad school and I wasn’t sure what to expect. I decided to give it a try however and am so glad I did. The coupon was a great deal and I got myself a nice bowl with white rice, veggies and chicken. I originally was thinking there would not be that much chicken in the bowl but was pleasantly surprised it had a decent amount. Tastewise, it was pretty good as well. The sweet teriyaki sauce, tender chicken and various veggies all came together to give a fulfilling meal. All that for only $ 2.25?! Winner, winner Yoshinoya dinner!

It is what they say it is. The beef was nice and hot and the rice was fresh. I frequent other locations and found this one to be on par with the rest if the ones I have visited. I used to have beef bowls all the time when I was in Japan so it is really nice to finally live somewhere that I can get my fix here in the states.

This was my first time ever going into a Yoshinoya. This wasn’t the choice of food that we wanted at like 11 p. m, but it was the only place nearby that was open. Bf and I both ordered their beef bowl(extra beef) with a side of gyoza. They have a little area where you can get your togarashi(spicy pepper), and ginger. They also have soy sauce, and alla that good stuff. You already know we stacked up on that togarashi! We also asked for some green onion, and home girl gave us two filled up cups of green onion. You da best. We came home, and started to chomp. They definitely gave us a lot of extra meat. it was yums. But.the next day. both of our tummies weren’t feeling too good. :/

I’ve been to this location few times and today is my first bad experience. Totally unacceptable, hence my bad review. C’mon guys, you are in business to serve Beef Bowl. Serving me beef bowl with half cooked rice? Nasty! This wasn’t due to too much water or too little water to cook the rice. It was plain and simple«undercooked»! Do I need stand in your kitchen to cook the rice properly.

Just your everyday Yoshinoya shop. Figure it is healthier than getting McDonalds and what not(though you are still looking at 1000+ calories for a large beef bowl) and only a little pricer if you don’t have coupons. I like this particular shop as it never seems to get busy(there is always more than enough seating) and the place is kept pretty clean.

The food here is… alright. I like it mostly because it’s very close to my house. I usually get the combo bowl, which is a nice helping of rice, half beef and half of their kind of sort of teryaki chicken. It’s better when they’re light to medium on the sauce. The steamed veggies are a bit tasteless. Myabe THEY could benefit from the sauce instead of drowning the chicken in it. They have a «combo» meal, but their sides are weak, and it looks like they are made some time ago; they sit in a refrigerated space by the front. If you get the combo bowl that will be plenty. Oh and I have one complaint. They switched ffrom the rectanglual container they used to put the combo bowl in, to the standard«clam shell» fast food container, complete with dividers. That sucks. To me you’re still paying the same and getting less. We fat people like a good price to portion ratio. As far as a recommendation. If you frequent Yoshinoya, you already like it. If you haven’t had it, give it a try. It’s better than some places, not a good as others.

I am fortunate to live by 3 yoshinoya locations nearby. You can’t beat the regular size Beef & Veggie Bowl for $ 3.79. Tastes great, fills you up and is under 700 calories. The beef is also of pretty high quality along with rice that is always consistently good. Unlike other teriyaki places, the sauce is in the marinade for the beef… it isn’t squirted on as a goo. I am not a fan of their chicken however… tastes bland. And their large sizes are just too much. The authentic Japanese beef bowl is to get the small size without veggies and just the beef… that’s like the standard lunch there(like a hamburger here). This location has adequate parking, competent attendants and very quick service.

I looooooove Yoshinoya! I come from a Japanese and Chinese household who cannot believe that I prefer this place over traditional home-cooked meals in my Asian family.(sorry mom and dad!) But this place has very affordable meals with the taste to back it up. To make it even cheaper, keep an eye out for coupons that come in the mail periodically. I just got a coupon for buy one combo bowl, get a regular chicken bowl free. Great Deal !

Never had drive thru Japanese food until I landed in LA. They should totally have these places in NY! We were starving after we landed and couldn’t find anything open other than typical fast food stuff. Then I saw Yoshinoya and it was like some beautiful dream. Beef bowl? Yes please! Miso soup? Sure! Pretty tasty meal if I do say so myself. Probably not the best Japanese food ever, but awesome for a drive thru. Worth a visit.
